  1. With thanks to streetfield and cmdrinchief, GeneralsJoes has posted a full one-sheet of cards for the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA. Check 'em out!! Justin
  2. So I debuted "Sunbow Weekend" yesterday with the Top 5 Moments from the MASS Device. Today that continues with the Top 5 Moments from the Revenge of COBRA! Enjoy, and later tonight I'll be featuring a mini-review of the first Battle Pack. While you're on the site don't forget to check out the Marauder Review as well... When I relaunched the site I promised more content, and I think I'm delivering so far...let me know what else you guys want to see. Pimp Daddy Justin
  3. Had a camera catastrophe today, but luckily I got the pics for Marauder's latest series of weapons done first, and the review has been posted at GeneralsJoes! Direct Linkage Enjoy! Justin
  4. Perhaps folks will find this post at JoeSightings helpful... it was written by "Slicer-X" who's the one who has provided the (so far) 100% accurate Wal-Mart lists over the past couple of months: http://www.joesightings.com/forums/index.p...20&start=20 Some very interesting tidbits there... so we have questionable characters, a "mysterious" source, the figure breakdown per wave is wrong, and now we know the UPC numbers are flat out incorrect. Anyone still convinced this list is real? Justin
  5. Sorry, I don't buy it... no offense to the original poster but I think he either got erroneous information or some wires crossed somewhere. Reasons being: - A verified, confirmed Wal-Mart listing at JoeSightings here already gave the layout of what "Wave 9" is likely to be, and it doesn't fit that mold at all. Granted the Wal-Mart list hasn't been officially confirmed, but someone on HissTank.com called his Wal-Mart and verified the SKU's in the system. - Hasbro stated in one of their Q & A's that Cover Girl was NOT being planned for release - Scarface is appearing in a Comi
  6. Well, considering Wal-Mart computers are pretty consistently receiving listings in them for product that will not be available until late in 2008, I don't think we can expect them to stop carrying the line any time soon... Justin
  7. I think most fans out there are aware of the Canadian JoeMeet... held every April, a bunch of Joe fans from various countries (not just Canada!) meet in Hamilton, Ontario for the annual JoeMeet. Heck, this year the Meet is being attended by Hasbro Canada and the Father of G.I. Joe himself, Larry Hama! Anyway... JoeCanuck is the site behind the Canadian JoeMeet, and they've launched their first online newsletter. Articles, figure reviews, even Joe-themed games! It looks pretty neat and it's free at the JoeCanuck site. Click here to check out the first newsletter, and of course chec
  8. ... now. Continuity is pretty thick in this one, too, so if you aren't up on the GeneralsJoes history, you may want to check out the timeline. Enjoy and I welcome any feedback you have! Justin
  9. The Wave 1 first looks continue at YoJoe with Snow Job! Also, Generals Joes has posted the full review of Flash here!
  10. YoJoe and GeneralsJoes have teamed up to provide exclusive "First Looks" of select figures from the first wave of 2008 25th Anniversary figures! First up is Sgt. Flash: First Look Archive Entry Keep your eyes peeled at GeneralsJoes also which will feature full length reviews with tons of pictures shortly after the First Look appears at YoJoe! The 25th Anniversary still goes strong in 2008!
  11. Thanks, guys, glad you liked the reviews! I appreciate the photo offer, Joe, but I managed to score a Dolphin/Shark Shipwreck today, so I can grab a pic... Admiral, here's the link to the Con review: http://generalsjoes.com/reviews/2007/exclu...conset07-1.html Thanks for the feedback! Justin
  12. Well, it's not really a database, but there's Sigma 6 Central. If you go to the Toys Section there will be headers for the different branches of figures, and then links to all figures with reviews, pictures, etc... Justin
  13. Thanks to my boy Fred at JBL, I got my Wave 2 and 3 in the mail over the past week and I'm repaying that kind act by scooping him on the reviews... :shifty: GeneralsJoes now has Wave 3 up in the review section: Shipwreck Stalker Firefly Red Ninja Zartan Enjoy, and be sure to check out JBL's Anniversary Reviews as well, Fred will be getting them up VERY soon! Justin
  14. Actually, pretty much all of the classic art has been redone for the 25th anniversary stuff. Little stuff like the knife in Baroness' hand, Flint's holding his new shotgun, different things like that. I don't think any of the 25th art is reproduced original art, it's all be redone and some of it has been modified in some way. Justin
  15. Hasbro has been announcing the official launch date of 25th stuff as "August" for the entirety of 2007...so here it is, August, and sure enough, they're hitting mass release. This is how distribution works: - Hasbro warehouses ship product to retailer "DC's" - Retailer DC's organize product, analyze sales, prioritize shipments - Retailer DC's ship product to brick & mortar stores based on priority - Brick & Mortar stores receive product - Brick & Mortar stores put product on shelves This is absolutely not an instantaneous process. These items are often shipped by t
  16. Exactly. "KEY DRV" is simply a marketing term for the pack that is the "key sales driver", it has nothing to do with what is actually in the packs. Justin
  17. Well, you could always check out my full review, which yeah, clearly states that fact about the Timber. "Timber himself is merely a repaint of the same version that came with the Valor Vs. Venom Wave 7 Snake Eyes, so really the only new gear is the bandolier and belt combination." I'll take a look at that archive entry, thanks for bringing it to our attention so nicely and non-sarcastically... @hmmm@ Justin
  18. The G.I. Joe Collectors' Club website has posted a short interview about what Hasbro will be showing G.I. Joe-wise at SDCC this year, and also outlines how available the SDCC Destro will be. Very informative! Check it out!
  19. Wasn't their choice...retailers were so excited over the line that they wanted more product for shelves. This day and age, the manufacturer doesn't really have the power to say "no"...so when someone offers a large order for product for retail, you find a way to fill that order, even if you have to use some retooled parts. Justin
  20. It's not just an "excuse", Hasbro stated this exact fact in an interview in one of the latest Collectors' Club newsletters. They also specified that this problem only affected the first wave of single packs, and starting with wave two, there would be a huge improvement in the new tooling used. Trust me, Waves 2 and 3 will have a lot more new tooling than Wave 1 did. We'll all see for sure together at the end of the month during SDCC... Justin
  21. Sgt. Savage... an item like that came with Cyborg General Blitz and Battle Command Sgt. Savage. Justin
  22. I don't think so, no... Destro and the two females are the only figures that don't have the double-jointed hinged knees...everyone else does. Yet Storm Shadow has okay range of motion while the others have mixed range of motion. I don't think that has anything really to do with it, though it's an interesting idea. I'm not sure why Destro didn't get the double-jointed knees. For the females I can understand, since their legs are slimmer, but for Destro, I just don't get it. Justin
  23. I've seen a few posts scattered around the 'net looking like maybe folks didn't realize that I was posting full, detailed reviews of the Anniversary figures on General's Joes. Yes, I do contribute to the YoJoe "First Looks" but I also have in depth reviews at my own site as well. Currently the following have been posted: Anniversary Reviews Battle Pack Baroness Battle Pack Destro Battle Pack COBRA Commander Battle Pack COBRA Trooper Battle Pack Storm Shadow Single Pack Flint Single Pack Snake Eyes v.2 Single Pack Storm Shadow v.2 Single Pack COBRA Offi
  24. There is an absolute WORLD of difference between the Superhero Showdown figures and these guys. The kneejoints specifically (and all other joints as well) feel a lot more durable and a lot less "rubbery". I was pretty concerned with that myself, but ended up being quite pleased. Destro's left hand looks like it was originally tooled to hold his briefcase, but the production process sort of fused the fingers to the hand. :/ Still quite happy with them. As a side note, thanks to Spin Doctor from JoeCustoms, I've retired my "Dremel" and started using an exacto-knife or hobby knife
  25. Bonus time! YoJoe has TWO first looks up today! COBRA Trooper and the COBRA Storm Shadow. Click here to check it all out! Justin
