  1. I'm really not sure anymore one way or the other. I do like what they're doing with the character right now, freakin' hilarious. Also, it gives the WWF another (albeit minor) source of cash from selling Kane masks. For the most part, it does seem like anyone who unmasks tends to go downhill, Rey Jr. being the ultimate example. However, there are 2 counters to that argument. Mitsuharu Misawa & Koji Kanemoto. Both at one time wrestled under the Tiger Mask ID (they were II & III respectively) & both have had tremendous success since they left the mask behind. I'm curious as to who the current TM IV is. He's hellaciously good, who ever he is.
  2. Austin walked out on the company on June 10. Later that week the cops got a call from Debra saying that he'd hit her. She didn't press charges, however the state's attorney (I believe) has just recently pressed charges of his own accord. It's also been reported that Austin & Debra have filed for divorce. Jazz is injured, obviously she's not gonna be on TV. Linda Miles (and Jackie Gayda) are, to the best of my knowledge, down in OVW developing their skills. Molly has been very visible (as have her granny panties) @*- , unfortunately she's beens addled with Chris Nowinski wanting to "de-flower" her. And I too wish they'd just get back to the actual women's wrestling matches. They still have plenty of competent talent in that division. And yes, Lawler does seem to enjoy the types of matches we've been seeing. Now switching gears....... From what's been said, it looks like the WWE is seriously starting to look into signing Scott Steiner. That would certainly help, as long as he stays healthy. The brothers Steiner were just over in Japan competing in the G1 tourney for New Japan in July, so it looks like they're both doing pretty good. And Rick mentioned something in an interview on a radio show about how he'd like to see a tag match between the Steiners & Angle/Lesnar! Now that's a match I'd love to see. Goldberg's supposedly having a pretty good time in All Japan with his first two matches. So much so that he's signed to wrestle 6 more matches for them between now & Sept. '03. But it's not an exclusive contract, just obligations he'd have to fulfill.
  3. Hurm. Looks like it's more Micro Machine scaled. Perhaps one of the playsets they released in the G.I. Joe vein?
  4. I'd assume the reasoning behind the European & Hardcore titles being merged into the I-C is twofold. 1. They were planning on this second World title thing & wanted to keep things from getting too watered down with too many belts. 2. Also, they would probably want the titles to have more meaning. It doesn't make sense to have a bunch of titles, as it winds up killing off the competitve nature. This was one of the major reasonings in the new NWA-TNA only having World, Tag & X (cruiserweight) titles. So that there'd be stronger competition for the titles. As for the WWF (I still hate this "E" crap), they have now narrowed it down to a World title for each division (thus giving the impression to mroe casual viewers that they are potentially separate entities), the Women's title (which is for a specific group), the Cruiserweight title (which is, again, for a specific group), the tag title (which is, again, again for a specific group) & the I-C title (which is the only one that isn't really for a specific group). Smackdown has a high concentration of Cruiserweights so that title being there makes sense. RAW has a more spread out weight ratio, so them having hte I-C title makes sense. As they also seem to have a fair amount of tag teams it also makes sense for them to have that particular title as well. Oh, and about Mick Foley & the Hardcore title....if I get the opportunity I'll ask him about his thoughts on it on Oct. 24 when he comes to speak at SIU! - - - -
  5. I did catch some of what went down & what was done in the Monkey Room. JayC is right in that there are all ages that view this place. And most of what went down in there the other night was way outta line. Definitely not cool. That said.... Yeah, what the heck. I say let him back, if he is gonna be like Fonzie. And what is Fonzie like? He's cool. So if you're gonna be cool, then that's cool. Hey, whaddya know. This is my 200th post. #=$
  6. Ask & ye shall recieve. The matches aren't gonna be in exact order, as I write them down beforehand in whatever order I think of them. But it should be fairly close to order. Spike Dudley d. Steven Richards (Heat match) Kurt Angle d. Rey Misterio via submission Ric Flair d. Chris Jericho via submission Edge d. Eddy Guerrero via pinfall Un-Americans d. Booker T & Goldust via pinfall, after Test interfered, to retain the tag titles Undertaker d. Test via Tombstone (OLD SCHOOL!) 8) Rob Van Dam d. Chris Benoit via pinfall for the I-C title Shawn Michaels d. HHH via pinfall Brock Lesnar d. Rock via pinfall to become the new Undisputed World Champion As for secondary notes, I've got a bad feeling about the I-C title change. Bischoff was laughing at Steph (they were watching the match together in the back) & saying that she could watch the I-C title on RAW now. However, Steph started laughing & left the room. Why do I have a sneaking suspision that she has somehow set it up that the I-C title is locked into being on Smackdown? Which means RAW loses RVD! And as of right now there's no UPN affiliate in my area! Also, after Shawn won, HHH grabbed the sledgehammer & drilled Shawn in the back twice with it. So I'm assuming this seals the deal that this was a one time thing for HBK, but damn. It was nice to see him back! 8)
  7. Same here ironlungs. Great deal, especially since the Blockbuster here has around half a dozen anime flicks I've been meaning to rent.
  8. I'd say it was Big Show who tagged HBK. Either him or the UnAmericans. Damn, that's a nice talent boost that RAW got. Storm, Christian & Jericho. Test is pretty good for a big guy. He's got what, at least 5 different finishing moves in his arsenal.... Big boot (damn is that a loud cracking sound) Meltdown Sideswipe powerbomb Big elbow off the top Roll the Dice Not bad at all. And remember, they can always put the Hardys back together. Storm/Christian v. Hardys? Oh hell yeah! Plus there's the aforementioned Booker/Goldust team, as well as the Dudleys (Bubba Ray/Spike) & now the Samoans. Plus Benoit/Guerrero could always go for a little run at the titles. That's what, 6 teams total on RAW now? Very nice indeed. 8)
  9. Eh, that match was supposed to be "bornig" so that they could introduce The Island Boys! Damn, I'm glad RAW got them. I've been hearing a lot of good things about these guys. Gotta love them Samoans.
  10. Oh, so they moved the release up a week? Hadn't heard that.
  11. Rock's going to be in a movie called Helldorado. The Duke Nukem thing was just a rumor. And it's a moot point, as heeeeeee's baaaaaaaaack! 8) If ya smellllllll what the Rock.....is......cookin'! Great speech tonight by Rock. This Austing thing has hit him pretty hard it appears.
  12. December 18. And Star Trek X is two days later. Great strategy there Paramount.
  13. You're damn skippy I'm gonna buy one! Hot Rod too. I've still got Mags, so no need for him.
  14. I voted for Transformers, but it's really a toss-up between that & G.I. Joe.
  15. Ryoko, definitely. Gotta love the space pirate. 8)
