  1. Yup. The birth of Hulkamania at the same time. You're up.
  2. Scott Norton & Buff Bagwell. January 23, 2003, Hulk Hogan punched Vince McMahon in the face on Smackdown. What other significant event occurred on this date in wrestling history?
  3. Yep, it was Flyin' Brian. You're up dude.
  4. Nope. Brad Armstrong was the last champion before the title was abandoned from late '92-early-'96.
  5. Who was the first WCW cruiserweight/lightheavyweight champion when the title was created in in 1991?
  6. I do believe that was his Berserker period, n'est-ce pas?
  7. It's Theodore R. Long, BTW. As for Trish, during the 4-way match at JD she went for the Stratusfaction bulldog on Victoria. Victoria blocked it by making Trish go too high & overshoot the top rope. Trish pretty much landed on her face on the floor. It didn't seem like she got her hands up to help block the fall. Ouch!
  8. Dragging this back to the top since Teknokyo's 6" SE here is in this months Lee's Toy Review mag! Page 103, one of the customs they show in the price guide each month. I thought that name sounded familiar. Way to go man! 8)
  9. Yes! Give that man some puppies. Lawler's recounting of the match in his book is great. Apparently Funk was going all out, yelling & carrying on like there was an actual crowd. That's one match that probably sounded better in theory. Then again, I think it was Funk's idea, so it isn't really that surprising. You're up TommyGoth.
  10. No, as Brody never retired at all. He was murdered. Must remember the clues & hints, all of them.
  11. And knowing is half the battle... Yep, Lawler was one of them. He actually recounts the story in his autobiography. I'd heard about the match before his book though. Something of a legendary type match. I believe it's where Mick got the idea for the empty arena match he had with the Rock. And Mick would obviously know of the match, considering who Lawler's opponent was...
  12. Nope, wrong era. Shawn's of a more modern era wrestler. Anyways, Shawn's only retired once officially. Make sure you keep track of the hints & info I've given. They do make a difference. I'll give this a little longer (at least until some of the other's have had another chance to chime in). If none of you can get it, I'll go ahead & give the answer & try a little easier question. Oh yeah, not only do you see said person on RAW every week, you hear him as well. A lot.
  13. My goodness. I certainly expected someone to have heard of this, especially with the previous question being so obscure. None of the wrestlers mentioned (Piper, Race, Flair) have anything to do with the match. The show one of the participants is on hits the air in about an hour. Piper does have something in common with the other person involved in the match, similar # of retirements.
  14. Nope, Flair wasn't involved. Your in the right era though. Yet another hint (the legends reference was a hint, BTW)... You still see one of the participants every week.
  15. It was some sort of special challenge that one made to the other & from what has been said (even by one of the participants), it was quite an odd match. 2 wrestlers, 1 ref. That was all that was in the building. So it obviously wasn't the Mankind/Rock match, which is why I made a point of stating it has never been seen by anyone. Actually, there may have been a photographer in the building too. I think I've seen one pic from this match. This is the stuff legends are made of...
  16. The dangers of having a mind like a steel trap, at least when it comes to useless trivia (primarily SW, wrestling & X-Men related). What 2 wrestlers once had a match that no one saw because it was in an empty arena? And it wasn't shown on TV, either.
  17. I'm thinking it was Johnny Valiant, right? And I do remember the Cain the Undertaker bit. I think there's even a mention of it in the first article on him in a WWF magazine.
  18. Yup, he is pretty damn huge. I got the case since a friend wanted one as well. For $100 each, that's a pretty damn good deal. Very awesome toy indeed.
  19. Funny. It's the World Wrestling Federation. I refuse to kowtow to the panda pumpers.
  20. That's what he thought too, but he learned of a surgical procedure that fixed what the other doctor screwed up. He's been wrestling for a few months now with his Toryumon promotion in Japan. Just beat Great Sasuke this week for one of the minor NWA titles. And apparently he hasn't lost a step. Now here's hoping that he can bring in some of his students as well. I've got a dream match floating around in my head & this could be the chance to finally see it. Rey Misterio v. Dragon Kid (basically he's a smaller version of Ultimo, right at Rey's weight I believe). I wouldn't mind seeing that become a 3-way dance with Brian "Spanky" Kendrick thrown in the mix. Gimme 15 minutes of that match, I'll be happy. 20 minutes & I'll be in heaven.
  21. According to 1wrestling.com, Ultimo Dragon told the Japanese press that he would be debuting at the Judgement Day PPV for the WWF. Oh hell yeah! Now that's the kind of news I can definitely dig. 8)
  22. Only the tombstone version, as far as I know. And yeah, this was a pretty good night. The opening segment was great. The Morley firing was classic. The ending did seem rushed a bit. And I'm glad they skipped the white boy challenge this week (and Teddy on the mic, but you know he'll get his words in on the Coach situation). Overall though, a good show.
  23. I just ordered a ton of stuff from their clearance sale a week & a half ago. I got the stuff Thursday, so yeah. I'd say they're pretty good. 8)
  24. Yeah, they've already tried a 6" type scale & it's failed pretty miserably. It's not needed anyways. As for the vinty micro line, there was a lot more than just the Bespin & Hoth. There were also some vehicles (X-Wing, TIE, Snowspeeder & I think there was a Falcon as well) & a 2-part Death Star playset. Extremely cool stuff & I really wish what they had planned had come to fruition. There was a third DS section which would have been the Emperor's throne room as well as a Jabba set, a Dagobah set & a sicth Hoth set which was to be the medical bay. Check out www.toysrgus.com for more info, they've got a hell of a lot of it. 8)
