Jim Lee Cyclops, eh? Fine by me. The rest of the first wave of XL doesn't impress me much, yet. Hulk, no interest. X2, Series III...Colossus & Lady D? Hell yeah! ML5...Fury's got his cigar & Blade's supposed to have tons of weapons. Good. That just might spark my interest. And the Red Skull is sounding pretty good too. Colossus & Sabertooth will be mine. (Had to say that again.) :wink:

Heck with the Sith chick, gimme that Imperial Dignitary! - And I'm loving some of the bases they'll come with. Especially Bail's. Very cool indeed. 8)

Hey BM, keep lookin' around man. I ran into a case of Coll. 2, wave 13 at the Marion, IL TRU Wednesday. Only one of each figure in that assortment, but here's the line-up: Barris Offee Aayla Secura Lama Su Re-issue Han Cantina Re-issue Leia New Likeness Re-issue Darth Maul MOTDS (check) Red Battle Droid (check) Yoda/Chian Ashla/Jempa (check) Coleman Trebor (check) Wedding Amidala (check) Wat Tambor (check) It was the only case they got in, but at least they're finally hitting Southern Illinois.

It's a great figure on sculpt & mass. Weapons look great too. But the paint job (especially the face) is bloody well atrocious! Possibly one of the worst paint jobs I've ever seen (and I've been collecting for about 24 years). :evil:

Sandtrooper builder pack, actually. It's the COMMTECH Stormtrooper's lower body & the POTJ Sandtrooper's upper body. If New Force Comics still has any, they'd probably be a cheaper alternative by far.

I can believe it won out over 2 of the other 4 choices, Nym & the Rebel Soldier in Scout Trooper disguise. General Reikaan (damn, never can remember how to spell that) would've been nice. And rumor is that the Imp Dignitary just might be on the way to the second power next year. Let's see, who else lost in previous fan polls... Even Piell & Yarael Poof (both being made) Amanaman (lost the first one, won the second one) Teemto's been made. And I can't remember who else was on the previous polls. So just because they lost, don't count them out just yet. :wink:

Surprisingly I found all 3 of them at the local TRU this Wednesday. And I still haven't seen Thundercracker or Silverstreak. Oddness.

Aha, the pics are apparently from the Tomy Japan website, distributor of SW stuff in Japan. That's a pretty official source, so I think my opinion has officially gone from "guarded" to "wicked cool". -

If these are for real (the fact there's 3 new figs in the JC one strikes me as odd), then it's definitely a step in the right direction. Hell, we'd have the entire Jedi Council finally. I'm gonna keep my hopes neutral for now however.

You're right BR. It's the very rarely seen MOTDS 2-pack version of Maul. And it does appear that the Vader from said pack is also gonna be put out as well. Which is a good idea in this case as most people never saw this 2-pack. Now we just need the actual base.

Journal of the Whills is correct. As a matter of fact, I do believe the prologue of the novelization of ANH is supposed to be an excerpt from said JotW. Actually, I think that's where it came from, not an early draft. But you did get the name right.

New series debuted last night at the 11PM CDT slot. Kikaider. I missed lsat night's ep, but it's on right now. Looks pretty good. I'm not sure if this is the old series, or a newer one. Anyone know?

The difference is that this kid didn't do this with the intention of it being seen by anyone else. He just did a little "role playing" in front of a camera. Someone else got ahold of the tape, added all the effects & such & then threw it on the 'net without the kid's knowledge or permission. He definitely should have gotten the tape outta the recorder. But the guys who edited it & put it on-line shouldn't have done so in the first place without getting an okay from him. But then again people do seem to be fairly inconsiderate of the feelings of others these days. :roll:

From what I understand he's suing whoever put the clip online & added all the visual effects. They had no permission to do this & apparently the kid is getting some fairly major grief (I'd assume from other kids at school) for doing something like this & for looking like he does - overweight & barely able to do a couple of moves without getting winded (which is completely bogus, I kinda feel sorry for the poor schmoe).
