  1. How'd you do that? Get it to stream Netflix?

I don't want to get rid of everything, just the stuff that would look BETTER on Blu-ray.

My Samsung BD player has a feature for instant streaming of Netflix, Pandora Internet Radio, and BD Live. Not all BD players have that feature.

  2. Blu-Ray is awesome! However, I am not looking to replace all of my DVD's, just select movies. Star Trek, Star Wars, and some of my other favorite movies have been/will be upgraded to Blu.

My BR player streams Netflix, which is a cool feature.

  3. First we get left out of the contests and now we don't get to play with the reputation button? The Mod room better at least get a pool table with this remodel. @smilepunch@

  4. Well, what you're finding in terms of Walmarts and DCUC is what's scaring a lot of us. DawgStar is having a very hard time sniffing out a Walmart that carries DCUC too. From what I've seen, unless a Walmart carried the DCSH line, it hasn't carried the DCUC line. Mattel SWEARS that more Walmarts will be carrying DCUC and Wave 10 in particular but they also swore everyone would be able to find Wave 5!

    OT

but did bigdawg and evilstar combined to form this new user?

Oh, please! I SO miss EvilStar, it hurts! I know the guy has been surreptitiously reading the boards, so he know what people had said about him. But truth to tell, I'll lovingly take him any day! HE WAS NOT THAT BAD!! More amusing than offensive!

And there's another 'dawg' out there who posted recently who has far more 'EvilStar' in him than BigDawg... Enough so to make me think ES was making a comeback! (C'mon, ES - We really DO miss you!)

EvilStar aka Big Dawg aka Dawg Star aka DawgDayAfternoon has been banned. He won't be returning. :)

  5. Plain and simple, knew Corey before his Smalljoes days and he is an outstanding person as a collector and a dealer! Do not hesitate to deal with Smalljoes!

  6. so many people didnt get these i hear my wal mart down here got over flowed with them and now we have too many ridders like at least 10 or more and now they wont release any different waves thats 1 of the 3 wal marts

Aren't there any message boards in your own language?

It would never occur to me to go on a Spanish message board and post "Je suis DawgStar! Tres bien!"

    Buh-bye DawgStar/Evilstar/Big Dawg/Sybil. @iwin@

  7. I bought the original Crimson Strike Force set. It was my first AND last con set purchase. I later sold it off.....I did keep the Cobra pin that was included for the first 100(?) orders though! :)

  8. I picked up The 1-6 movie set. So far I've watched 2 and 3. 2 is really nice looking and the sounds are crip and clear. It's amazing the little details you can pick up which you didn't really notice before. 3 is pretty good to.

I also decided to pick up TOS remastered season 1 set on Blu-Ray. I was hesitant cause I already had it on regular DVD but the difference is really incredible with both the picture and sounds.

I don't have a Blu-Ray player, so I recently ordered TOS remastered on DVD. In regards to the new movie set, I heard that only TWOK was completely upgraded while the others weren't.

  9. I saw it last Thursday and then again yesterday. I'm not going to go into a big review or anything, but let me just say that it was much more enjoyable the second time. The reason? I had far too many expectations when I saw it the first time. The second time around, I left my geeky Trek self at home and just enjoyed it for the story and the visuals rather than trying to analyze it and make it fit in with the previous 40 years of Trek.

I saw it with my brother the first time and my ex the second. They both loved the movie. I did too. Perfect? No, but definitely worth seeing!

  10. CRAP, CRAP, &CRAP! Why should we have to foot the bill for their bad decisions. We already have to pay for GM, Chryser, AIG, and too many banks to list with our taxes. Why in the world would I buy figures I already own so I can see the figures they told me were own the way. I love this line, but this is a desperate move that does nothing but piss me off. I used to use AIG for insurance, but not anymore. Take note Mattel.

I'm glad I dropped this line when I did. This is rediculous. Sorry Mattel. I say let this line die.

What are you collecting these days?

After the whole Gleek BS, I'm not going out of my way to help Mattel.
