  1. Sad how they can fleece the fans with these uninspired basic re-packs that are being passed as premium collector items. At least the Evolution sets have better sculpts and accesories.
  2. Found 3 Shocktroopers at Valrico Walmart Supercenter, FL. Several others still on the pegs. Seems like the drought of new figures is finally coming to an end. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Neo...n/PICT3075b.jpg
  3. Got my Shocktroopers at a Walmart Supercenter in Valrico, Fl. Right on S.R. 60. There were also Evolutions Anakin boxes, Meditation Chambers, Couple of Bacaras, a few Red Clone commanders, a few Jet Zukasa, and couple of Gunners with the removable helmets.
  4. Looks good. I'd pick him at retail if I'm lucky enough to find one like I did Holo-Yoda. I'll probably pick the other two holos as well. Only looking forward the Clones from this assortment really. NC
  5. Thank you all for your feedback. I will now patiently wait until I find them instead of being tempted to pay double for their Galaxy Force versions through importers
  6. Just wondering if anybody actually knows why certain toys get short-packed. I just noticed that an e-mail from BBTS stated that Voyager sized Leobreaker and Mudflap were only packed one each per case. Seems that short-packing would only harm collectors and benefit speculators. -- NC

    Jedi Vs Sith

Not impressed. Do not like having to buy another Grievous, a girly Anakin, and a poor version of Yoda just to get two new figures. If only collector's sets contained all new figures or if they were to sell them individually. As it is, I can do without them at MSRP.
  8. Too bad I have yet to see any on the pegs at TRU or Target. It certainly looks like a worthy addition to any Clone Army collection.
  9. Super Target in construction in Ft. Myers on Daniels and US-41 had 3 Bacara, every single incarnation of Anakin except for the Evo-packs, couple of Red clone commanders, a few quick-draw troopers, a few sound & light-up R2-D2, and a couple of Clone 3-packs. Only got one Bacara since I've become rather selective giving my shrinking display and storage space.
  10. All I have ever seen at Target are the Han Solo cups.
  11. Well the three pack I got a while ago had a trooper with blue highlights (the one laying down) and the two others were plain (crouching and standing ones) as shown in the picture Tonight, I saw a 3-pack at Target in which the standing one matched the one depicted in the picture listed at the begining of this thread. It was actually a red brick muted color that was sloppily applied, so I left them on the pegs.
  12. Hmmm, they are all re-issues. Florida swamps can be rather dusty, and I yet have to get a Plexiglass display case for them all. Maybe I should box them all up for the time being..., nah too lazy
  13. Hmmm, sharp eyes Mike! That was taken before I started using a small sable brush to dust him off a bit more frequently
  14. Thank you for the feedback. Besides that mishap with Red Alert, the other re-issues turned out alright. Managed to get the Hasbro Dirge and Stepper already: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Neo...an/PICT1173.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Neo...an/PICT1174.jpg
  15. Looks good. You certainly seem to love the packaging. Since I no longer have much room left, all my bubble cards go straight into the trash (I just save the inserts with the artwork) along with the boxes for Ultra or Voyager classes.
  16. I picked up some Hasbro G1 re-issues on clearance sometime ago ($5.99-15.99 each), and finally got around opening the last few yesterday night: Tracks, Red Alert, and Inferno. My favorite was Inferno: good vehicle and robot modes, nice head sculpt, fun extendable ladder, chrome parts and missiles, and die-cast feet. Looks really good next to my Grapple that was already in display. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Neo...an/PICT1466.jpg Tracks was ok, but the blue plastic on the hood was cracked upon examination under an OTT-LITE daylight lamp. Feels flimsy like it's made of cheap plastic. Afraid is going to break when flipping the rear legs with wings open to the sides. Do not care for the head-sculpt, but it does pop out in the coolest part of the transformation process as the rear of the car if pushed backwards. Red Alert was disappointing for the cheap plastic feel which even proved quite brittle as its left arm broke off when trying to flip it forward away from the car door (the arms were tightly screwed to the the doors with no pivot). I would be really upset had I paid msrp for such a crappy piece. Too bad I can't return/exchange it since I lost the receipt and it's no longer available anyway. I guess I'll just super-glue the leg to the door or toss it into the trash when I completely run out of room. Also dislike the fact that the missile launchers had been disabled in all three. In the case of Inferno, the fists were too loose when attached to the arms rotating freely at the wrists. I was lucky to find the Takara re-issues for Jazz and Prowl for $30 each a couple of months ago. They look and feel better with their die-cast parts and their chromed missiles (which actually shoot and that even my 2-year old niece can load and shoot) and weapons yet they still feel fragile. Thus they are mostly for display rather than play. #US1#
  17. Wow! they look really nice, but I would never have enough patience to sit down and build anything of that scale. -- NC
  18. What are those buildings in the background made out of? custom made?
  19. Like anything else, its value would depend on how much would collectors be willing to pay for it. If it is in good enough condition and you are enjoying it, that's all that matters
  20. Hmm, that was the only Basic I have not picked up yet. After seeing your gallery, I may just go out and get it instead of waiting for the next sale. Good camera work! -- NC
  21. A light dusting with a small sable brush does wonders for mine. Then I just go around with a dust devil to clean the counter space around them. I would only consider dunking in water toys that are 100% plastic with no metal joints or pins that would get rusty if they couldn't be dried thoroughly. I've seen Alternators at clearance prices for $15.00 in several Wal-Marts, but their distribution and selection leaves much to be desired.
  22. There's a Hasbro store in Downtown Disney? Since when?
  23. For those interested, got the BBTS e-mail today http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/toystan.asp?...p?Queryid=pr717 Astromech Droid Full Set of 10 for $69.99
  24. I would get Fort Max to have a display base for my other Transformers. Although I would really prefer a Metroplex . Since neither is very likely, I will just wait for Primus next year!
