  1. Had it being on HTS I would have considered it. Pass too.
  2. Just saw the movie and enjoyed it. I agree that the action and comedy parts outweighed the weaknesses in the plot. While I was entertained by the movie, I am content that the new designs failed to re-ignite my merchandise collecting streak. Personally I can accept the alt-modes choices, but still do not care for the new insect-like facial design of most of the robot modes. I would have preferred a facial plate design closer to the original cartoon and the Classics line. The actual movie toys look rather cheap and poorly designed, but I can still look forward Classics 2.0. Anyhow the movie was a fun ride with plenty of eye-candy to keep the general public and fans alike entertained on a hot humid summer day. Hmmm, didn't care much for Frenzy either, but I can understand the necessity of the role he plays in moving the story along. Don't know why, but he reminded me of Johnny 5 from the 1986 movie "Short Circuit"
  3. Very nice looking wave. Might get me out of my currernt non-buying mode if I find some of them at retail outlets. Probably would like to find Yoda-Kybuck and Revan the most.
  4. The movie line has actually made it easier to stop collecting completely. Still check out the online reviews and offerings in the toy aisles, but have only been barely tempted by the Real Gear "Laserbeak" and Longview since the latter sports the antropomorhic face plate I prefer on TF designs. The plastic materials used in this line give a "cheap knock-off" vibe I do not particularly care for. Still, I hope the line does well enough to foster a second wind in the Classics line.
  5. The Dark Woman and Tusken Jedi set looks pretty nice, and I'd be happy to find them at retail. The Skywalker couple might depend upon inspection of the paintjobs and detail of the actual product on the shelves. Pass on the Vader and Leia. NC
  6. $0. Unless I get enticed later on with a good movie and clearance prices.
  7. Mine won't stand either. Seems like the backpack throws the balance off. The boots seem fairly flat on the bottom. Nice-looking figure regardless, and there are plenty stands left from previous series to display it upright. I was disappointed with the look of the poorly painted white hood of the Order-66 version. Just as well, didn't need to spend $60 on those Target repaints anyhow. Btw, they also had Ambush in Ilum battle packs on clearance for $4.98.
  8. For those still looking to pick up the DVD anniversary Prime, Cybertron Metroplex/Galaxy Prime, or Classics Prime/Megs, you might want to check the clearance aisles at Wal-Mart. They had a a few for $15.00, $11.00, and $7.00 respectively. Having no storage room left myself, I passed on all those deals.
  9. For those interested in the SW IV Conmemorative Tin Sets, you might want to check the clearance aisles at Wal-Mart. They had a bunch for $9.00.
  10. Just got a complete set of Micromasters Gestalt Universe Superion at the CVS drugstore toy section. In case anybody else is also interested in them. Found a picture of them online: http://plasticcrack.net/archives/2006/12/r..._siverbolt#more
  11. I had little hope to find any of these figures, but as luck would have it a WM Supercenter just openend yesterday nearby. I just found a fresh display of the 30th figures earlier and got the colonial marine, airborne trooper, lava miner, and the only McQ stormtrooper left. Two days shy of my bday to boot. Now if I could just find a TRU conmemorative Soundwave, my collector days would be done for the foreseable future .
  12. Echoing the previous statements, if they have your items in-stock the order will probably arrive within a reasonable time frame. Not having a problem being patient, I got most Classics at a substantial discount but in 3 separate shipments throughout the last quarter of 2006. My boxes were securely packaeged and arrived in good condition. One time, I got a order short 1 Xevoz kit. One e-mail to their customer service, and they promptly sent me the missing kit. Thus, I'm satisfied with HTS and use them if I am in no hurry to get the items. NC
  13. Wow! after being tempted by their latest releases, it will be easier to pass on them. Got a very modest collection of 12 vehicles, 2 5-packs + Republic Gunship + Imperial Destroyer. Was only tempted enough to pay full price of $4.99 for the latter two. Might still keep and eye on the line during sales or in the clearance end caps.
  14. WJ35: sorry for your loss. Regarding this thread: The Wace Mindu battle packs were found in Cape Coral Target, FL ringing at $18.99 (price tag on end cap shelf read $19.99). Great value for 5 figures especially considering the brand new airborne figure along with the better dressed Mace (glad I did not purchase the single carded version).
