  1. Maybe some other store might be interested? Toys 'r' Us perhaps? It's really an easy toy for Hasbro to put out there. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him. I'd say it's an even 50-50 chance.
  2. lol, is that from Boondocks? Animation seems familiar...
  3. Yeah, I agree with all the above - 25th is better!
  4. Oh right, I forgot about HTS... They STILL don't ship to Canada though, do they?
  5. Glad you like him! I'm not a big fan of the Snow Serpent legs/boots, but I'm glad to hear they look better in hand. I heard a lot of people don't like the little hole in his chest though... I will be getting one, of course, since RAH-styled new figures are few and far between, and I always did like Crazylegs.
  6. Wasn't it originally announced/speculated that it'd be $70, though? So this is an improvement. Though all the price drop will likely do is attract more scalpers to it - hopefully that doesn't drive up the price TOO much on Ebay, as I'm pretty sure that's the only way I'll be able to get it, unless some nice member here is willing to help out (not saying I wouldn't pay a bit extra, either).
  7. Yeah, I'd really like a 100% accurate one. As is, I probably like the convention one a bit more.
  8. Very cool figure - can't wait for this one!
  9. I don't know, a lot of 12" Sideshow collectors seem to hate the SDCC Crimson Cobra Commander, but I think he's a great figure and an appropriate variant. What I really need to get is Ice Cream Soldier and Robo-Joe for my RAH collection. Those guys are so ridiculous they deserve a place in my collection!
  10. You guys are crazy, this is a great figure! I'm definitely getting this.
  11. Well, I also hope these come out. The line looked really promising! But we should all be wary of speculating too much. No news is good news. If these were really cancelled, why wouldn't there be some kind of announcement from the company? There's still hope as long as we don't know for sure.
  12. I'd rather wait for a transforming one myself But I'll admit it does look very tempting but I'm still holding hope for a GIJOE crossover series with Transformable vehicles that can fit GIJOE figures Hasbro and Takara have been thinking about it and with today's technology it's even more possible I think that Human alliance is a prototype for an upcoming crossover with GIJOE that'll most likely happen in a few years maybe when transformers becomes 30 Now that would be damn cool. Seems like a no-brainer, really? The trick is to do it with Joe-scaled vehicles that transform into TF characters - like a HISS Tank (w/figure) that is the same scale as a normal Cobra HISS Tank but transforms into Shockwave or something. Hasbro, do NOT do it the way you usually do the TF crossovers and have vehicles that transform into a lame robot with a Cobra Commander head or whatever. These are your two flagship properties - do 'em justice.
  13. Wave 3 2011 - May Hawk - Yeah, definitely a cool figure. He almost seems like a younger version of Hawk - I almost want to call him Captain or Major Hawk... Steel Brigade - Seriously, just meh??? I will definitely be getting a squad of these. Blowtorch - It does seem a bit odd that he's coming out in such a similar fashion to the original. They should have tried to do a little variation or something. I recall recently having seen some design work for the figure done back in '84, where the pads were olive drab instead of bright orange. Might have been an interesting way to go. I see that the green gloves are new - anything else? Cobra Trooper - Don't really need any more of these but I'll probably get six regardless to add to the ranks... Cobra Commander - Yeah, not too sure about him yet either. Comes with some nice accessories, though. We'll see. Jungle Bat - I will get two, but no more than that. I kind of like the idea of these guys guarding some jungle installation somewhere with those miniguns... but I won't be getting a squad of them or anything. Wave 4 2011 - July Crazy Legs - Looks better than I anticipated. His face looked "childish" in the '87 figure too, so I think it's an appropriate headsculpt. I don't mind the reused parts, either (although I'll be annoyed if one of his knees is loose). Snake Eyes - I'd like to see more pics using the rest of the equipment before making a call on this one. I don't like it as Snake Eyes, but it might be an interesting generic samurai/ninja type figure... Croc Master - An odd choice, to be sure... A bit more yellow? All his reptiles are nice, I guess. Viper - I could probably use more Vipers, especially if they've got fixed hands... Not sure these have 'em, though. Rock Viper - I'll get a couple. Iron Grenadier - Pretty damn cool... Like an "Iron Grenadier Immortal" almost! I'll get a couple at least. Fall wave 1 - August Renegades Firefly - I quite like all the Renegades figures - I'm very pleased they didn't go all "toony" with these. Renegades Duke - Like him, but yeah - what is that thing on his wrist, a grenade? I don't get it... Renegades SE - Like it. Techno Viper - Probably my favourite we've seen... I love the little traffic cone, too! Renegades Cobra Commander - Very sleek design. I love it. Hazard Viper - A GREAT re-use of the Volcano Viper. SciFi - A VERY nice surprise! Quite happy to see this. Storm Shadow - Is that the Sideshow design I see? Very nice. Stalker - Quite like this, though I'm not sure what the story behind this is. PoC? Zaranas - Both look great, especially the original version.
  14. I thought if they ever did a 25th-style Sci-Fi, they'd tone down the neon a bit. I'm glad they didn't - he looks great!
  15. What's the general consensus on this among TF fans? I know you guys don't like stuff that doesn't transform... you gonna make it hard for us Joe collectors to get this, or do you not care?
  16. No kidding. It'd be more weird if she WASN'T trying drugs at that age. You people who are all outraged and/or shocked about this are living in a dream world. This is no big deal whatsoever.
  17. Well I think he looks great. I'm not super-excited or anything, but I'm still going to get him. Maybe they're just running out of key characters to do. As far as good guys go, I'm not sure I'd be going ga-ga over anything other than a Sorceress, Ram-Man or Mekanek at this point. I'm sure there are a few I'm forgetting but as far as key figures they haven't already done, I'd say that's about it... For the bad guys, there's quite a few yet - Stinkor, almost all of the Horde and Snake Men, Modulok. At this point the bad guys have me more excited, but I'm still loving this line!
  18. There should be two lines - one by Hasbro to continue the Toy Biz LOTR line (like what they did with Marvel Legends), and a high-end 12" line by either Sideshow or Hot Toys. I love 4" scale, but 6" seems more appropriate to me.
  19. Oh, and no, you wouldn't have to ship to Afghanistan! I've got a friend sub-letting the house.
  20. I don't suppose some kind member would be able to hook me up with one of each? I'm kind of indisposed at the moment (in Afghanistan!). Thanks in advance! D
  21. I would rather they be a little more like the SW line and a little less like TFs. Transformers seems to reinvent itself every couple of years, and in the last little while, we've seen that with GI Joe, too. SW is all one nice continuity, which I like. Probably not what we'll see with GI Joe, since there's a desire to make things "current". That's understandable, and to be quite honest I liked a lot of the new takes, even ROC (for what it was). I'd just like to see it a bit less... I'll give Renegades a chance but I don't see why we have to reinvent/reboot the continuity so often. Seems like they could have easily had it continue from Resolute - heck, I don't even care that the animation style would have been different, but whatever. When it comes down to it, what I like about the SW toy releases is that they revisit the original series every now and then. I'd like to see them do this with GI Joe, too. I mean, every now and then throw the collectors a bone and put out a wave of classic themed characters in the new style. Figures like Low Light are a step in the right direction - just do it a BIT more often!
  22. Just preordered them at BBTS. They will really spice up the G1 display, I think!
  23. Looks good, will definitely track this down...
  24. Yeah, it's a statue. I got the SE vs Red Ninjas one, and liked it quite a it. After finding out the edition size for the ex on this one (only 200!), I jumped on it. They're pretty cool - something different for your GI Joe collection.
