I'm not really into Classics that much anymore but it's nice to see the line is alive and well. I think the only one I'll be getting here is Rattrap. Whirl is a bit tempting, too... The MP Grimlock reissue looks a bit sick (not in the good way). Wish there was a bit more G1 flavour in the Kreo sets, too. I realize they are movie sets, but I would have preferred sets like they did in the first wave: build the movie set, but the Kreons were G1.
-
I like most of what I'm seeing, but I'm most excited for the Kreo stuff, ESPECIALLY the Terror Drome!

I got mine a few days ago. Definitely one of Sideshow's best, if not THE best, GI Joe figure they've ever done. Only problem for me was the exclusive glasses were slightly bent... I'm sure I can bend them back, just waiting on their customer service rep to let me know if it's safe to do so.

Which wasn't THAT BAD, as long as you picked it up early enough. The regular version was what, about $30-35 on Ebay? Beats travelling to San Diego. Of course the "chase" was more expensive, but unlike the TTT Slaughter, it wasn't based on a classic figure, so not a huge deal. Same as this is gonna be. I haven't yet decided if I'll go for the white version. She did appear in the comic like that a couple times, didn't she? So maybe...
-
I agree with the "not classic enough" sentiments, but it's still good enough for a pick-up. I'd like to see Alyosha or someone sculpt a maskless head based on the movie (or comic), though. Something about the mask with the open neck doesn't quite work for me...

It's not wowing me, but I don't particularly hate it or anything. The OG guys are the main draw of the set, so I'll still be getting one.

It's totally understandable to get worked up like that in the heat of the moment, especially given what had been said. He apologized, and handled it well, I think.

With not a lot happening with Joes lately, I've been doing some TF collecting recently. I try and get a good deal on vintage Joes when I can, though.

This is looking like it's gonna be a great set! Yeah, but no one should be surprised about the price.

Didn't they say a while back that it was going to be ME from here on in? I'm game for Oktober Guard. I think they could probably do a really good job with what they've got to work with. I believe i've seen some qoutes saying they could possibly do one last o-ring set as they saved the molds from destroyed for that purpose. I don't think there is the demand though, I'd guess these will be ME. There'd be no point to doing an Oktober Guard set in o-ring style anyway. We've already got really nice versions of all the characters in that format. Those were some of the better comic-pack figures, imo.

1. Snake Eyes 2. Duke 3. Cobra Commander 4. Destro (I think most people remember him better than Zartan or Storm Shadow, especially outside the fandom) 5. Storm Shadow

Your Most wanted next 2 classic six inchers

I think so...I hope so. Well what I really hope is that they finish out the 8 inch line. I hate that they switched the Classics Scale from 8 inches to 6 inches that aren't even compatable with other 6 inch figures. I might have gotten past that if they hadn't given Lino an angry face. I have the 8 Inch Lino and Tygra and Im not switching because some whiny ass Thundercats fanboy had to have 6 inch figures. However, with the show not being on Cartoon Networks re new list and ALL of the Thundercats Figures warming the pegs at my local walmart I think the line is dead. Then maybe Mattel or Hasbro will get it and save the day. Im hoping for Mattel because I think they can find a way to keep the line alive without a show on the air Well, one or the other, just commit and do more than two figures! I would prefer 6', though, but honestly... they should never have given the license to Bandai in the first place. Mattel would have done wonders with it. -

Is this line dead or what? I still want to see Panthro, Tigra, and Cheetara at the very least... -
This is where the high-quality and awesomness of POC comes in. POC Dusty has the same cape only it's cloth and looks a lot better. POC set the bar very high. True. It also kind of made sense for Dusty, being in the desert and all. It's kind of random, otherwise.

I'm a bit on the fence about most of the Retaliation stuff, but I'm sure I'll pick up at least one of these guys. Glad I'm an opener, though. That packaging sucks!

Glad you're back - we gonna start seeing more dio-stories then?

I would probably find a way to pay for it no matter the price... I mean, we can be reasonably sure it's going to be somewhere around $100-145, max. For me, scale is more of an issue... I've got a decent collection going using iGear's Faith Leader, official/iGear Seekers, MP Grimlock, and a bunch of classics Autobots. To me, they go together quite well. I'm not sure I want a HUGE MP Sideswipe. I might bite because I love '80s Lamborghinis, though. We'll see. Are you trying to suggest that the G1 cartoon, with all of the character inconsistencies, is a higher source of official Transformers canon? Sorry buddy but that would be a fail. The Dreamwave comics , althou a different continuity from the G1 toon, are indeed "official Transformers canon", anything approved from Hasbro is.The G1 cartoon may predate Dreamwave, but its not the ORIGINAL source of TF canon, nor does it superseded Dreamwave,IDW or any other continuities that have aired or been published. The G1 cartoon got a hell of a lot wrong/or deviated from the intended course set by the first and original source of canon for TF fiction............the Tech specs. To add what stovokor2000 said, which I wholeheartly agree on, a lot of the Transformers were added into the cartoon simply because they are toy versions of them. What makes white Optimus Prime any different than Bluestreak or for that matter, toys that were never interduced in the cartoon like the deluxe insecticons or Roadbuster? We don't simply ignore the insecticons and Roadbuster because they have never appeared in the g1 cartoon. Furthermore, some of the TF lore that originated in the Marvel run supersedes the lore introduced in the cartoon. For instance, Sentinel Prime being the Prime before Optimus. Unless Hasbro publicly makes it official that the DW series isn't canon (like they did with DD's Gi Joe series,) the DW TF series is as canon as any cartoon or comic literation of TF. I just appreciate DW's efforts to explain things like white truck Magnus, and the toy heads of Bumblebee and Jetfire.

The cape is weird... Not sure how I feel about these yet. I kind of dig the mohawk, but not for troop-building.
-
Yeah, Aire's collection might just be the most comprehensive ever, at least in terms of GI Joe - and probably quite a few other toy lines, too. She's also a super nice person.

I don't know... I'm excited about Quarrel. This, not so much. We need to see more pics of upcoming figures or at least some kind of list. I understand they're trying to copy the MOTUC method but I have a lot more faith in 4H designs...
-
It's a good idea, but if you don't have the time I'd just wait for it. I think a Night Force version is just a matter of time...
-
Gettin' it!!! I love the Uzi and olive drab. Nice modern touches, those.
-
Cool. Still, I'd get all three coneheads before this guy, and I'm not sure I can even justify those purchases... Just too many Seekers!
