  1. Have fun with those G1 figures man.

Since you're done with Alternators does this mean you're done complaining about them too?

I'm sure a lot of fans are passing on the Alternators that don't look like the G1 figures - maybe not the hard-core "I'll buy any TF" fan but certainly the more casual ones like me.

Pardon me, but is a forum only for "positive" opinions? If I see something I don't like, I'm going to say so. If all you want to do is kiss Hasbro's butt and beg for more, by all means, go ahead - it's your right - but that's only going to encourage them to bring more substandard stuff out (and yes, compared to the first few waves of Alts, Prowl is substandard in design, whether you're a G1 fan or not). Besides, it's my right (and I feel, my obligation) to complain when they bring out crap.

Im with ya DP. ;) The little details are ok, but the chest and legs are too much to bear. @grumpy@ Too bad they couldnt make the chest similar to the proto pic which is not as wide.

Yes its a new mold, but it doesnt make it a good one. It basically looks like they can reach 4 characters per mold, so they shouldve just used the Smokescreen one IMO.

I think another problem not helping it is that with the chest being so big the legs need to be a little further apart to help him not look so top heavy/wide, instead of how close together the legs are on the hips.

So I'll take that as a "No"?

Edit: And you think Alt. Sideswipe is superior to Alt. Prowl?

  3. Not only is that mold not worthy of Prowl, it's not even worthy of being in the Alternator line-up.

Sorry Hasbro, but I'm not going to buy it just because you make it. You had a winner with the Smokescreen/Silverstreak mold, but I'm done with this travesty.

Since I know now that I'm not going to be a completist with this line, you've also lost my business for all the Alts past Tracks - I was on the fence with these guys, but now, why bother if I'm not going to go for the complete collection?

G-1 style is where it's at with me.

  4. People like ravage more now, the same thing will happen with prowl once he comes out most likely...

Exactly.. And let's be honest, if Prowl was going to be a WRX, people would be whining and crying that he was just another remold and not a new mold.

I think he's going to be just fine and all the complainers will all of the sudden like him.

  5. I registered about a week and a half ago so i could access the club prices on the club store :)

which by the way is http://www.transformersclub.com/shop/index.cfm for those who didnt know.

Wow, am I glad I didn't pay to join. You get to pay them to buy stuff for the price it is at your local store, plus shipping. I'd have thought that by paying the member fees you'd get stuff cheaper.

I think the idea is you can easily get it. No need to waste gas or time searching for it. Just ask those still looking for Alternator tracks if they'd have bought him from the online store if possible...

Yeah, but Track's isn't for sale on the site, neither is anything else rare, just everything that's either already readily available or shelf warmer's. Nothing worth paying membership for.

The store isn't even completely online, and there's obviously going to be a member's only section so I think it'll be more than worth it..

And the whole Tracks thing was just an example guy, he wasn't being literal.

  6. Nothing that I can think of. Everything that I've ever bought from Takara just seems better somehow.

Quickstrike, Sharkticon, Tow-Line, Armada Skywarp, Energon Ultra Magnus, and the entire Universe line would like to have a word with you.

Hmmm...Never actually got to see E-Magnus, the stores here never got one in, which is a shame cuz I would have bought one. E-Quickstrike and Towline kinda sucked IMHO. I ended up returning the Bulkhead version because it wouldn't stand on it's own. Too much leg spread with that silly backpack on. Sharkticon is ok, but then again I'd have preferred they atleast tried doing G1 colors on it, least in robot mode. Armada Skywarp was just OK, a simple repaint with a new head isn't something to gush over, least not for me. And Hasbro could have learned a thing or two from Takara for the Universe line, meaning Robot Masters kicks Universe's butt. Universe is/was just a repaint line with horrible colors. The only bot I've got from Universe that I consider done well is Skywarp.

So I still stand by my original answer ;)

Then we'll have to agree to disagree, because I don't see Robot Masters even coming close to Universe.

As I said in a thread a few months ago that asked the same question, Why do you have to have a preference? Each one offers something different and gives us what we want, choice.

Don't like plastic? Buy binaltech. Like molds and repaints that japan never got? Buy Hasbro stuff. They both have their upsides and downsides, what's great though is one's upside tends to compensate for the others downside.
