  1. I think it is a good choice. Don't forget she is getting older every day like the rest of us! by 2006 (the films release date) she will definately be old enough. I get the impresion they are going for a Superman in his early twentys rather than early thirtys this time as well. If for instance you had a 24 yr old Superman lusting after (for example) a 35 yr old Lois (if played by Judd) audiances may not like it.
  2. Looking forward to them?.......Is the pope catholic?
  3. I have been reading Batman on and off for 25 years, so I have seen all the changes. In my humble opinion the Bat-Man should be black and grey with a slightly chunky utility belt. I also feel that the emblem on his chest should not be surounded by yellow. Even as a young kid I wondered why the 'dark knight' would have that bright yellow on his chest. I do like to see the odd highlight of blue in the cape though.
  4. Many thanks for that. Now that you have mentioned it I realise that most of the MOKF stuff I hae IS drawn by Gulacy. I guess I must have been just that bit more impressed by the purity of Mike Zeck's stuff.
  5. OK third time lucky. What has happened to Shang Chi master of Kung Fu over the last 20 odd years? And please guys if you have never heard of him do yourselves a massive favour and buy up as many issues of MOKF you can, that were done by Doeg Moench and Mike Zeck. When they were doing this book, it was pretty much the best series being produced in comics, period!
  6. Wow now why can't we get fully articulated versions of these guys? That is the best Joker sculpt yet in my books.
  7. The Kents found Supes, and THEY put him in the orpanage, for a while at least. Superman first started flying due the radio series he was in at the time again in the 40's The same radio show introduced most of Suermans suppporting cast such as Jimmy Olsen and I think Perry White. You can find the answer to all your superman questions over on Movie Poop shoot. Go to the comics section, and then the comics 101 sub section. they have I guy there that does potted histories of lots of Marvel and DC stuff. He recently completed a three part Superman article.
  8. Isn't that the stuff drawn by that Mike Allred guy <<shudders>> his art is like garlic to a vampire to me.
  9. As long as the articulation is adequate I will buy all of these.
  10. Both Justice League and X-men evolution have improved beyond belief this season. They are now really solild shows that adults can enjoy as much as the kids.
  11. I still don't get it. Hush has been out for a while now. This is not like some major secret now. is it? In the UK the last issue of the Hush run has only been out for a couple of weeks. The first issue of the UK reprint news stand versions, do not get released until they end of this month. Now thanks to this thread I now know who the main villian is before I have even read the first page of the story! To be honest I think the fact that many have now read the entire series is beside the point. If you had not seen the sixth sense yet (even though it came out 5 years ago)Would you mention to everyone that Bruce Willis was a ghost unless you were 100% sure they had seen it? Bruce Willis is the ghost?! Thanks for ruining the movie, jerkface.. Hey not fair! You have had years to see that movie, Hush has not even come out in the UK yet!
  12. The character, who I had never heard of before your post, hasn't been used in years, to the best of my knowledge. I don't think he was ever killed off or anything, he just isn't used anymore, and I'd be surprised if more than 1 out of 10 Marvel writers was aware he ever existed. I am amazed that no one has heard of him. He was never massive but was a solid member of the Marvel Universe for several years! Heres another one. What ever happened to Paladin (spelling may be wrong)? I remember he was a purple and mauve clad vigilante, a Kind of less lethal version of the Punisher, who possibly had an afair with the Wasp at some point.
  13. I still don't get it. Hush has been out for a while now. This is not like some major secret now. is it? In the UK the last issue of the Hush run has only been out for a couple of weeks. 14. Can anybody tell me what happend to Dominic Fortune? I have a few comics featuring him from many years ago, but have heard nothing of him since I started to get interested in Marvel again recently.
  15. Please use spoiler alerts when giving out plot details!
  16. Apart from Vigilante back in the 80's has any other major DC character ever commited suicide?
  17. When it comes to imesh I will download it. We Brits never get to see the cool cartoons.
  18. sigh. How could one of my countrymen let us down so much? It's not as if the non comic fans are totally unaware of Wolvie thanks to the two films!
  19. Lots of contenders for this one (some already mentioned) but my vote goes to Hank Pym! He is one of the most interesting and complex characters in Marvel history. Hank also has access to some of the coolest powers.
  20. I have heard of them, I just don't get them! If they were $2.00 each then they would make good custom fodder but at the prices that they are at present, well like I sid I just don't get it.
  21. So the Batman is now British! I really have a renewed interest in this franchise now. If Terrence Stamp gets the role of Ra's al Ghul, it really will be a Brit pic. Now I say this in a manly girl loving way, I am reallly looking forword to how buff CB can get before shooting starts. He looked rock solid in American Psycho, and is sure to want to bulk out for this role. It would be great if they could use the textile and printing technology that they used for Spider-mans outfit on to a bat suit. I would love to see if a Jim Lee style suit would work on the big screen. I am drooling at the prospect of a Batman film for the 21st century!
  22. Did you see that fantastic Thor based Custom of Hercules over on the banned site that was doing the rounds a few weeks ago? It was superb and it proves that Toybiz could do a hercules with minimal tooling costs.
  23. This toon has not reached the UK yet. Although I will watcch it out of interest when/if it does get here. I am not hopeful about it. I appreciate that it's target audiance is 10 and under and that kids brought up on Pokemon etc will be comfortable with the artwork, I myself hate the Manga style that is so popular these days. What also seems odd is that the Titans was one of the darkest most adult titles that DC produced during the 80's (and one of the best) I doubt that Robin will doing the big nasty with Starfire in these cartoons!!!!!! Or that they will recruit a 16yr old female who turns out to be insane and having a an affair with a middle aged man etc. You will not get any figures from this series because the toy licence has been past on by Mattel. Its something to do with Jo Public refusing to buy female action figures, and you have just to many of them in the Teen Titans.
  24. I have never really bothered with this site being more of a fan of banned. However I have recently discovered it is a lot better than I remembered mainly thanks to regular users such as some of you guys on this thread. I have just gone through this thread in pretty much one sitting and though it has been a brain busting experiance I have thouroughly enjoyed myself. Now my question is: How many Black Superheroes and Vilians are currently active in the Marvel Universe?
  25. I would love a Captain Britain Figure. If not him then someone like Yellow Jacket would be very cool.
