  1. Oooh, he looks cool! I gotta find me one of those! ... or put him on my Christmas list!
  2. I like the new Enterprise, she's not that different (on the outside). Inside, below decks, she looks like the inside of a carrier or submarine, which is cool. Well, I'm biased anyway 'cause I absolutly loved the new movie!
  3. If the likeness of the Human figures with these were much better, they'd be must have - but as is, pass. Besides, I use a spare Mutt from Indy 4 as a Sam stand-in anyway...
  4. Finally got around to re-watching Rise Of Cobra, and I still greatly enjoyed it! It's a great popcorn flick, and I still maintain that it's in the spirit of the original cartoon. Bring on the sequel! Yo Joe! #US1#
  5. I loved the movie when I saw it in theatres! I have yet to watch it on DVD (although I bought it when it came out) for a second viewing.. But soon..
  6. http://linearranger.com/MMPR-Toys/MMToy01.htm Here's the whole first wave, with pictures! I know I'll be picking some up!
  7. I'd probably have to say that "The Phantom Menace" is my favorite of the Prequels. With "Attack of the Clones" being my least favorite.
  8. The Pit Commando and Shipwreck are my choices. #US1#
  9. Heh, he's cool! I want one! Also, besides being in "Revenge of the Fallen", this guy was in a Mountain Dew commercial...

    Confession

Glad you enjoy the new movie Joe figures! I too love 'em! (and have trouble resiting anything GI Joe!
  11. Aw man, that "natal" thing will be crap! I already hate the Wii, now they want motion controlers on other systems? Crap. I for sure don't want to have to stand in front of the TV throwing off snap kicks for hours to play Mortal Kombat, I don't want to sit on the couch waving my arms around like an idiot. Geez, give me a friggin controler! Also, eventually, action figure will cease to exist, simply because many kids don't play with them anymore, they'd rather play with all the digital age gadgets that are abound.

    Jackpot!!

Nice finds! I still haven't found a Rex yet personally..
  13. Yeah I thought he was more suited to Stalker as well, but they likely didn't want one of the main characters in the movie to be named "Stalker".
  14. Hopefully there's a version that comes with a bust or toy or something.. Plus, geez, they ever rushed this! Transformers is coming out before Star Trek!
  15. Yeah, it'd be nice to get a new cartoon with great art and storylines. Plus sticking closer to the classic Joe's. It'd never happen though. At best we'd get a heavily re-imagined GI Joe and it would be all japan-imation.
  16. Oooh! Nice! I love the Snake Eyes and the Desert Viper looks cool, I'll be getting a couple of him, since he comes with a variety of accessories!
  17. Maybe it's like He-man and Skeletor's power swords...
  18. Go see it! You'll never know until you try it! Personally I thought it was alot of fun and almost exactly like watching the cartoon.
  19. The Lord of the Rings would make an ideal/kick ass action figure line in this scale! Just think of the playsets! The army builders!
  20. http://www.80stees.com/pages/t-shirts/80s-...oe-t-shirts.asp Now you know! And knowing's half the battle!
  21. I rather liked his movie origin. Made more sense than a used car salesman IMO. Second place'd be the cartoon one.
  22. I bought a bunch today (I was holding off untill after seeing the movie) I think the ROC figs are well done myself. I was good I held off anyway since they were on sale at Wal-mart for 2 for 10 (five bucks a pop!) I got: Duke (from the opening), Ripcord (in accelerator suit), Heavy Duty, Shipwreck, Destro, Baroness, Storm Shadow (unmasked). I especially like the fig of Shipwreck, he comes with scuba gear! Which is cool. Plus Polly easily perches on his backpack. Second fav of the figs would be the unmasked Storm Shadow. Great facial sculpt!
  23. Well, I finally got to see this movie (the anticipation was killing me!) this afternoon. Anyway, I loved it! It was great seeing the characters in live action. All I have to say is "sequel please!" Well, and other thoughts: 1) Baroness was awesome, although I sure hope that her "turn to good" was all part of Cobra Commander's plan and she's really just infiltraiting the Joes, and setting herself up to free Cobra Commander and Destro. But in any case, she was perfect. 2) Ripcord was awesome (although he more resembled Stalker) and Duke was good too (although he seemed more like Flint to me!) 3) Snake Eyes was cool. I geeked everytime I saw him on screen. The "rubber suit" didn't bother me one bit. Plus on his "vow of silence" thing, that was kinda only Storm Shadow's assumption, so maybe not the real reason for not talking? Also he was sooo awesome during the "paris chase". 4) Destro was great. Played to perfection plus I like how he's actually scottish rather than sounding kinda black like the cartoon! Like how he had the relationship with Baroness. And the mask at the end? Awesome! I grinned so big! It makes sense that his mask is nanites around his head, since it moves with his mouth and such. My only complaint is the mask should be a little smoother. That's it. 5) Cobra Commander was.. o.k. When I first saw him as "the doctor" I thought he was Dr. Mindbender! (he did have a monacle strangely after all) Then again there is a Dr. Mindbender in the movie, so was Rex (Cobra Commander) in disguise as Mindbender? After learning all about the nanites, did he take Mindbender's identity to infiltrate Destro's organisation? Hmmm... But, yeah, the Cobra Commander costume sucks, c'mon give that guy a hood over his plastic skull mask in the sequel! Anyway, I loved the movie, it felt like the 80's toon and made me feel like a kid, watching the cartoon! (All I needed were my PJ's and a bowl of cereal!) Yo, Joe! (I cheered when Heavy Duty said that..!) P.S - thanks to anyone who bothered to read all my thoughts! #US1#
  24. Wow! A web-site chock full of images of figures that can be found anywhere else, trailers that can be seen anywhere else, and wallpapers from the wallpaper packs that you can download from the GI Joe The Game site. Plus, the guy's never seen the movie (despite his name being "Rise of Cobra" and can't read the GI Joe movie disscussion thread and thinks asking if the movie's any good is original. Yeah. Only go to this site if you want viruses folks, 'cause that's probably all that's there. Now, if you do want some cool joe wallpapers go to Hasbro's offical site and go to the GI Joe section, or go to the official site of the GI Joe Rise of Cobra game and download the Joe and Cobra wallpaper packs.
  25. lt is concept art Ahhh... zat vould esplain et then! @dunce@
