  1. This looks somewhat promising. However, I'm wondering about tickets/entry fee. What is it? Can you register ahead of time? Can you get into the early-bird? Overall though, this might be a worthwhile show to attend. Cybercon (NJ) was the last one I was at. Now to save some money...
  2. Here: TF Collector Set Just finished up season 1 last night. Pretty strong. ANd yes, they are pretty much the same as the Rhino Eps. with better sound. Also, The first Doc (on season 1) was pretty cool. Now I'm on to season two - Man, I forgot just how bad "Autobot Spike" really is. Onto "The Immobilizer"!
  3. Since I pre-ordered this bad boy about a month ago, I almost forgot about it. Just judging by the packaging, it's ridiculously awesome (much better than the Rhino set). Labels on the actual DVDs are nicely done, and the book that comes with the series contains a synopsis for each episode along with character bios and additional trivia sprinkled throughout. The magnets are cool as well. Tonight I plan on checking out some of the first season and the special features. I guess my only complaint would be that it won't fit on the shelf witht eh other DVDs and BluRays that I own. Right now I'm thinking of using it as a background display on one of my shelves, and putting my Revoltech figs in front of it. Anyone else get theirs yet?
  4. Saw it once, at Wal-Mart, bought it, and haven't seen it since. I would love to get my hands on another though...
  5. Hell yeah! Better than I expected actually.
  6. Good news! After sending Hasbro copies of my check (electronically no less) on Saturday, what did I find in my mailbox today? A shiny new Doc figure. So if you think you should be getting one, and you haven't yet, best contact Hasbro to be sure one is coming your way!
  7. I too recieved this truly awesome reply from Hasbro as well: Hi Mike, Thanks for contacting us regarding our G.I. Joe Operation Rescue Doc Figure promotion. Upon checking with the fulfillment center, they show no record of receiving a request at the name and address you provided. In order for us to research this further, we need a copy of the cashed check (front and back). Please also advise if the order was to be sent in a different name or to address. You may update this incident with any additional information. We apologize for the problems you have encountered with the mail in promotion. Please fax 401-431-8082 or forward all applicable information to us so that we can assist you. Please send it to: Hasbro, Inc. Idiots! Now I have to copy the cashed check from the bank. If you don't have yours yet, definitely contact customer service!
  8. Sent my email to Hasbro tonight. I'll post the response when I get it.
  9. Where did you send your email? I'll gladly write to them, because they definately cahsed my check (in July no less) as well.
  10. I'm having hte same issue. I got my first one in late May/Early June (about 7 weeks after they cashed my check). I sent away for my second one in July (and they cashed my check then as well) but he hasn't shown up yet either. Perhaps a supply contraint? I was thinking about looking into it as well, but I just haven't had the time yet. Let me know if you find anyhting out.
  11. AVP 2: Requiem trailer now online AVP-R.com All I have to say is that this looks amazing. Puts Anderson's work to shame. Thoughts?
  12. 100% original. No reissue here. I have Year 1 and 2 complete, with most of year 3.
  13. I have Resistance which is solid. Motorstorm is supposed to be pretty good as well as Virtua Fighter 5. I also have Marvel Alliance (which is available on other systems as well). In the future you may want to keep you eye on: Ninja Gaiden Sigma (June) Heavenly Sword (TBA) Lair (July) MGS4 (November) Final Fantasy XIII (December) Devil May Cry 4 (October) Also you can check into downloading these on the PSN: Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Mortal Kombat II (April)
  14. Actually, there is no such thing as a "wired" controller that comes with a PS3. All controllers are wireless and bluetooth enabled. The main differences are: 1) Less storage space (20GB vs 60GB) 2) No media access ports (memory cards) 3) No wireless internet (you have to use a landline - broadband only) 4) Silver trim (stupid) I have the 60GB version. Anything else, let me know.
  15. Widescreen is superior...bottom line. Next thread please!
  16. I'm not interested in the DVD set that I recieved for X-mas and I am planning on returning it tomorrow. Can anyone tell where this could be from? It's a small rectangular sticker in the top right corner. Since it's torn, the only thing that I can tell is that it has a green line going across the top, and it looks like there's part of a date listed at the bottom. Sorry, no pic, but any help would be appreciated. I was thinking Circuit City, but I don't remember what their stickers look like. Thanks!
  17. Anyone else check this out on the DVD? There's a trailer for the original series to come out in 2007. Anyone know of any features they may include on this release that wasn't featured on the Rhino. And I hope to God they get rid of those damn annoying bumpers that broke up each episode. Those were the worst!
  18. I'm very pleased with this release as well. The extras are great. I think that my only gripe is the commentary. The guy who owns the TF2005 boards is horribly misinformed and actually quite annoying. He even gives the wrong information at times, and has a habit of trashing the movie throughout. Is this guy even a fan? The british guy was awesome though. Also, anyone else find Hotrod to be way too pinkish?
  19. I actually prefer the second one over all of them. In fact, I often skip the first one, because I feel Reloaded makes it look rather tame.
  20. I think that the bottom line is that this is just a rehash of the previous games that were available for this generation. A "trilogy" update basically. And to be honest, it's the worst MK game in some time. Character selection is great, but everything else is kinda mediocre. 1) Only two fighting style per character...seriously limits gameplay 2) Art on the vs. screen is horrible. 3) I'm so over the Kreate-a-fatality craze...zzzzzzzzzzz 4) No improvements on character models whatsoever...basically rehashes from previous versions fewer moves. 5) The boards all suck. Not a one that is aesthetically pleasing. 6) The fighting system needs a serious overhall as well as the fat looking character models. Ugh. Same since Deadly Alliance. 7) New characters basically have the fighting styles of old characters recycled. (Reiko=Shang Tsung) 8) Too many stage fatalities 9) And worst of all are the character endings...martial arts over text? Seriously...what's the point of playing just to get that...and you can't even save it. The story is trash as well. I could go on and on...I'd rent first. Arcade perfect MK3 is nice though.
  21. I'm almost 100% there's an adapter that will be sold.
  22. The fourth villian is...SPOILER BELOW! ... rumored to be of Mysterio (Quentin Black) as played by Bruce Campbell. Check it out. Darkhorizons.com Dude, they're packing FOUR villians into this movie! Sandman, Venom, Goblin, and a fourth one that hasn't been announced yet. Spoiler: It has been confirmed there will be a villian that hasn't been announced, but will be making a cameo, so they won't be in there for too long. Also, it can be pretty much said safley that Venom will be in towards the end of the movie to set up SM4 where Spidey vs. Venom will be the focal point of the moive
  23. It's being reported numerous places that this is simply a transfer of the last (only?) Laserdisk release, and that it is NOT anamorphic. In other words...its a crap release with $$$$ for Lucas written all over it. AND no option for 5.1 surround sound! I'll wait until he re-releases them in hi-def and keep my original vhs versions.
  24. Anyone else see this? "Transformers" Cast Breakdown Posted: Wednesday March 29th, 2006 9:07pm Source: IGN Filmforce Author: Garth Franklin A rumour that 19 year-old actor Shia LaBeouf ("Constantine", "I, Robot") is in the running to play human protagonist 'Sam' in the big-screen version of The Transformers has now been confirmed by IGN Filmforce. LaBeouf is indeed in negotiations for the role described as "a teenage male, somewhat nerdy, but ultimately heroic". Other characters in the michael Bay flick include: Miguela Barns - teenage female, Sam's love interest. Cpt William Lennicks - 30s male, leader of the military. Maggie - female, really hot, really smart, works as a codebreaker for the government. John Kellar - 50's/60's male, US Secretary of State. Glen Whitman - 20's male, technogeek, comic relief. I hate Shia Labeouf!
  25. Roddy, I'm so glad that your doing this again. I'll watch and give some feedback later this week.
