  1. Good Old Country Boy Snake! SNAAAA----KE! Swamp Smash-ah! Oh, and the store is reopened and restocked. Enjoy!
  2. Yeah, I wrote about this when I got mine about 6 weeks ago as a warning.
  3. That's a Viper torso on FF. The rest are interesting, but in light of the 5 packs that are just coming out, very redundant.
  4. Hell, I coulda' told you that. As far as I'm concerned, the best of Joe creatively that blended the military fantasy as well as you could expect was the stuff from 87' thru '91. A lot of collector's shunned it because it wasn't in the original 'toon, so as far as they were concerned it was crap. WRONG-O! Sure there were some absurdities (Grid-Iron anyone?), but 1988 gave us fantastic figures like Hit & Run, Repeater, Muskrat, all the speciality Vipers....seriously. If you've been avoiding these, you need to take a second look.
  5. I think Hasbro may have missed whatever opportunity they might have had to sell these by not getting them out before the holiday (at least until the movie hype starts). This is the kind of thing that grandma's and aunties by little Johnny when all they know is that he likes GI Joe. Personally, not really excited at all about this set although some of the painted details on the SE are an improvement.
  6. If you check my forum, you'd find updates for that info instead of posting here where I may or may not see it. Be patient for your free stuff.
  7. This is a nice piece of work Tom, but you give me too much credit. This was a way creative version of the character, and I'm seriously impressed with the eye detail and wash on the hair. Now where's mine?!?!??!
  8. Funny you mention that phone Tom. Mainly it was kept for emergencies....that and I hate celphones. A regular phone you can ignore if you don't want to answer it, but a beeping/buzzing thing on your hip kind of demands your attention since you take it with you everywhere and I hate being interrupted. As for being an old un-hipster, I'll gladly hang on to that perception. People are too quick to forget there was a world without all this tech stuff, and that it wasn't a bad place to be. But I'm no Luddite....I do enjoy the computer, video games and cable TV. How else does a red blooded a
  9. You should crawl around the website a bit more and you'll see. Same for the other color....heh-he-heh.
  10. I'm certain that these are actual movie figures, but as someone else pointed out they are most likely not complete with all the gear they should come with. I'm certain that they will look more complete fully geared. Given the astethic set by the SW movie figures (skinny arms, movie star thin torsos) it's about what I expected in all honesty. Nothing that I've seen thus far from any of the movie stills or pics has led me to think that the designs would be otherwise. At least this actor likeness is good.
  11. I am flattered, and amused all at the same time. Thanks!
  12. Yeah, I seem to recall it taking us about 16 hours the last time. The only way I'll be driving is if gas prices stay low enough to offset airfare, plus the luggage charges for my inventory....and it's carpooled. Any way about it....yuck. Oh, and the in hand pics the other guy mentioned were mine. TRat's head is not good, IMO.
  13. It's a crummy drive. I made it back when the con was there in 2001. Long, boring and full of suck.
  14. Bumpdate for new info and finished pics!
  15. Here's an update pic for Agent Kringle:

  17. Okay guys, that's it. The list of entrants is now closed as we have reached 50 people who have signed up. I apologize to anyone who did not get in and wanted to, but there is next time and that one will have $$$ prizes, not just bragging rights. I'll have more details up in the next few days. Keep checking back.
  18. Well, it wouldn't be much of a custom contest if you couldn't now, would it? Tom- I see you lurking down there at the bottom of the page. Your in, right? RIGHT!
