  1. Once again, here is a reminder about the Great Texas GI Joe Show this coming weekend 26th and 27th. I'll be set up there with my buddy the Toymenator and will have my store inventory available. Come on out and take a look! http://www.greattexasgijoeshow.com/index.html
  2. MadMac over at JBL contacted me about a custom contest they are holding. Rules are available here: http://www.joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=15849 The twist on this contest is that you submit a character name, and then these are randomly assigned to each participant to create. Sounds like fun, and there are some prizes being handed out by BAT and Marauder John. Take a look, and see if something strikes your muse!
  3. Yes, they are factory made using molds that Hasbro marked to be destroyed as I understand. They are cheifly being sold by two people. One of them had the Viper pilots as copies, the other did not. I paid $25 for the one I have, and bought it to compare to my originals. There are tell-tales to seperate them, but most likely the casual collector will not know them.
  4. I thought the whole idead was you LIKED being chained to the computer in the basement..... Those figures are pretty nice, and a neat addition to your vintage stuff. I've bought some of them, but was a bit put off when he started selling the Viper Glider Pilots a while back. Custom stuff is way cool, copying in complete a rare vintage figure....questionable. The Red Shadows Trooper is cool if you like the foreign stuff.
  5. Dave over at TriGate (G2G back then) had that. He told me the other night that he's planning on adding it back to the store soon, so just hold out a bit. BTW, I own one, and it's a perfect sculpt.
  6. As for Dusty himself, the figure is much improved in my opinion. His color palette is a bit darker and warmer and his digi's feature the camo pattern present on many of the other movie style figures. The contrast of the colored hands and lack of a havelock help to differentiate this version from the previous DVD pack version nicely. Unfortunately, there is no battle stand. Overall, I reccomend adding this vehicle and figure to your collection when these show up at retail. You won't be disappointed.
  7. Got a chance to pick up one of these a little while back, and thought I'd throw some pics up here for you guys. Usually, I'm dead set against repaints for the sake of repaints, but occasionally Hasbro does such a fine job that it's easy to overlook my general objections. That's the case with the Desert Rockslide. While the logistics of driving this vehicle over anything other than sand would be frightening in real life, in a fantasy military world it seems a bit more appealing. The repaint of the vehicle itself is fantastic. The three color desert camo work nicely at giving thi
  8. Not to worry mon-frere'. There will most definately be more, and I'll make sure and PM you before I add them.
  9. It's listed under the custom conversion kits. It comes with a head and harness that's been modded to fit the blue TRU Destro neck and body. For some reason, the two neck balls are of a slightly different size with the blue being a little larger. Not sure why.
  10. I hadn't realized that I'd neglected to post this guy at the same time as I did Night Raid. Anyway, here is the finished custom.

  12. is planning to see Sherlock Holmes today...

      Was it any good?

  13. This is something I made using the molds that my buddy RaginSpoon put together for his Frag Viper. This was a one off piece using a new fluorescent dye that I just tried to make the color as intense and with as much depth as possible. On top of that, if you put it under a blacklight, it fluoresces. Anyway, I thought you guys might like to have a look. Enjoy this Brazilian flavored custom cast figure, Letal.

  16. I traded to get four different versions of this thing at Joe Con this year. They are made from factory molds by all appearences, and the paint masks match the factory versions as well, although some to seem to be a bit "loose". The date stamp is 1983, and all the regular markings are there, crisp and clear. They are not Hasbro manufactured, but are definitley factory made. Given that Hasbro and the GIJCC announced that some RAH tooling has been destroyed, it's not a stretch to imagine that some that was marked to be destroyed made it's way into private hands and is now being used for this

  18. I just finished a mold of the modded/fixed arms. Give me a couple of weeks (Joe Con) to get the small details worked out and I should have a fix for you.
  19. This is a heads up to anyone whose interested. Initially, I hadn't intended to set up at Con this year, and have more of a vacation. Those plans have changed significantly. This year I will be set up on the sales floor (like last year) and sharing space with my good buddy Corey from www.smalljoes.com (go shop there!). I will have most (if not all) of my store inventory on hand, along with figures and this years two UnCon figures (Snake from MGS3 and Dragon Lady). Corey is planning to set up his excellent new display cases, and will have some of his newest items on hand for purchas
  20. Instead of spending my time doing a bunch of Resolute style customs (everyone else seems to have that well-covered), I figured I'd try out a movie style figure or two. Here is the first figure I've got cast: Night Raid - Light Infantry. He features a removable helmet, two rifles, backpack, rappelling harness, grappling hook and line, and knife. I may even cast the stands, as I really like the weight, and peg placement on these guys. They seem really sturdy and well designed. Night Raid is cast in a very dark OD Green (like the movie color palette), fleshtone and black. Let me kn
  21. I've had these three carded ROC guys for about 10 days or so, and just now gotten the time to do a quick photo reviewfor you guys who are anxious to get a better look at them. As with the last batch, special thanks to Jedidefender.com for picking up the tab on these from HK. Up first is a figure that almost everyone is anxious for: PIT Commando. This guy comes with more gear than any other figure I've ever seen, and what's more it's all new tooling. There's a SOCOM, MP7, H7K G-36, an auto-shotgun, FLAK vest, Heavy Armor, huge backpack, Steel Brigade helmet, SWAT style helmet & shie
  22. A quick note. Be sure to check your Armored Panthers well before buying. The new tooling for the Armadillo mold has lights added to the front in clear plastic, and my vehicle does not have them, though they are pictured in the artwork and box photo. They are two small rectangular lights that go right in the front.
  23. Ran to four different places this morning, and only one had any Joe movie stuff out. The TRU on Pipeline in Hurst has a very small section. No joy at TRU Cherry Lane (big suprise there), and nothing at Walmart on 183/Alta Mere, Target on same, and Target on Precint in Hurst is still in a very slow setup. The lady there said they MAY have the 3 3/4 stuff done today, but it could be tomorrow because it wasn't her section, blah-blah, blah. Anyway, if you run across anything in or around Fort Worth (although I suspect I am the only one on the forum who does live here), please post here as
