  1. Received my shipping notice today. My Stay Puft and Voltron will be here Friday. Yay!
  2. I know I'm in the minority here, big time, but I never liked Thundercats that much as a kid. I did, however, run around the house with a butter knife from time to time, held it in the air, cried Thundercats HOOOO, and dropped it to pick up a longer toy sword. Other than that, no toys, and no memories of watching the show. That being said, I absolutely love the new designs. 4" Mumm Ra came in today and, though he's not as articulated, I love his look and his cloak. I may buy an 8" Classic Lion O for my wife, who used to watch the series as a kid, but I'm in it for the 4" figures and maybe the Thundertank. My little boy is no where near old enough to even care about toys, but since he arrived I've approached toys with playability in mind, knowing that one day he'll want to play with them. The 4" is definitely great for playability.
  3. Got my 4" Lion O in the mail today. Ordered him and Mum Ra along with a Batman/Robin Young Justice two pack for free shipping and they sent them separately for some reason. Overall, I am very pleased with Lion O. I expected flimsy weapons because Power Rangers has been a guilty pleasure of mine since age 10 and the new 4" Rangers have the same issue. Considering the price of these at Kmart, I have no problem getting into this line.
  4. I'm going to be at SciFi Genre in Durham tomorrow. I hope they have that Batman in stock because he looks great.
  5. I don't know the exact time, but not long after 12. Maybe between 1 or 2? I finally purchased him at around 12:20 and when I checked back a little later he was Almost Gone. Who all got one?
  6. Very excited about these Voltron figs, but the wait and the slow trickling in of lions over the next year could get very tough. You know they're not going to release the black lion until the very end so we can't connect anything until then. As for the Voltron Force show. I'm a bit torn by it. I don't think it's terrible, but it hasn't wowed me like, say, the Thundercats remake. That is something special though and in another league from shows like Voltron Force. Maybe it's that I love the Voltron design, I like the story, but the animation just isn't good to me and spoils the experience. I am looking forward to picking up the Voltron Force lion whenever it's available, but I don't need figures of the team.
  7. I did read that the SDCC version will be available i stores along with Rodimus Prime and the Star Wars Commandos. Rodimus has already been foud at Canadian TRUs.
  8. Many of you may already know this from other sites, but because it has not been mentioned on this forum I'll share it. The painting Vigo comes with is lenticular. Depending on how you look at it you see the Vigo painting with him in it, without him in it, or the picture of the four guys and Oscar.
  9. I was going to say the same thing because Vigo should NOT be the same height as the GB's From what I can tell of him in packaging he does look bigger. Cannot wait for this figure. I'm glad I only have to wait until December.
  10. Checked my Kmart this morning, but no sign of Batman Legacy. It looked like someone put all the stock in one box with a bomb, let it go off, and was content where everything landed. My Kmart is the stereotypical mess. I may have to drive out a town to find these beautiful figs.
  11. I liked it too, though I recognize it's not perfect. I wish the new blu ray set came with a version of the film with some of these deleted scenes edited in. It would give incentive for me to repurchase it.
  12. I love resets. My bank account, however, does not. Guess I'll be checking out my Targets and Walmarts this weekend. Still need a Black Lantern Hal and I want to check out Toyman and Boomerang before buying.
  13. It's a lot, for sure, but it looks to be worth every penny if you have the money to spend. To help with the price, my wife is picking up Stay Puft for Christmas. She's always bummed because the only things I really want for Christmas are toys and collectibles I cannot find. And if I cannot find them then the chances for Laura are extremely slim. That being said, it will be extremely tough to wait for Christmas to get Stay Puft. I did the same with the PKE last year, but it didn't arrive until a week or so before anyways. As of right now, I'm obligated to save money from each paycheck that usually goes to toys in order to save up for two traps, should I want two. We'll see how that goes.
  14. Neither. Just another crazy fan trying to get the word out to my fellow collectors. I'm following SDCC 2011 with my computer on my lap, a couch under my bottom, and my newborn boy beside me. This time of the year is when I get the nerdiest.
  15. If you thought the trap was sweet before, check out the video of it on the front page of www.gbfans.com Holy cow! Amazing! Stupendous! Just what I always wanted! And the price is confirmed by the kind lady to be a bit more than first speculated: $135. I want two of them, so it will be a tough sell to the misses. She already told me that if I got two it would be my entire toy budget for the month. I don't think she realizes how much I spend on toys in a two week pay period, let alone a month.
  16. Super excited myself. Just so everyone knows, there is an extra set of legs for Dana/Zuul. Looking forward to seeing what the finished project is like. Vigo is all win for me! Update: GBFans is saying the trap will be $120. A little more than I thought, but I'm still a go.
  17. Don't know how many of you are following the Matty panel, but we have some exciting info about Club Ecto to discuss. Reveals are: Club exclusive Rookie Figure with trap, PKE, and goggles, January RTBY Peter with taxi ghost, and, drum roll please, Dana Barrett Zuul! Also, it's nice to here that the trap will have working doors. How they work, I don't know yet. Can't wait to see a demonstration.
  18. I had no idea there was going to be a Battlestar Galactica movie. Good times. Never saw Sucker Punch and never intend to. I did like the Watchmen quite a bit though. I felt the slow mo wasn't overly used in that film and when it was used it really added weight to the fight scenes. The opening scene with Comedian getting beat up was amazing.
  19. My initial response was..."Aaahhhh!" In all seriousness, if this means a better film, I'm all for the wait. Superman deserves a great film. We've seen some good ones, but I want a great one reminiscent of the first two.
  20. I could barely make out on the sign in front 'Fall 2011.' According to GBFans.com, they are targeting a Halloween release. Looks like I'm going to be a GB again this year.
  21. I have to take back what I said on a board after the first reveal. In celebration of the seeing Vigo, my wife and I watched GB 2 and I did see the wings on the the Theater Ghost. Granted, I won't make a fuss about the loss of wings as it's not as big an error as on the original slimeblower Winston. In the meantime, how awesome is this SDCC so far? We're only through the preview night and we've already seen a prop trap and a Vigo.
  22. I'm sure we'll hear more during the official review, but good ol' Matty is giving us a trap this year. Follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/user/So...ts#p/u/1/CYvV7bWRFW4 and pause it during the 4:38 mark. Pure sweetness. Thoughts?
  23. Well DOTM has gotten my money and I'm glad a reboot is looking less and less likely. This movie will not lose much steam because word of mouth (contrary to many on these boards) is really good (Cinema score of 'A' from viewers and 90% of people liking it at Rottentomatoes.com). We'll see it take a hit in the next few weeks with more blockbuster films coming out (Harry Potter, Cap America, and Cowboys and Aliens), but don't expect it to go quietly into the night. I for one hope to see it at least once more. IMAX, if I'm lucky. What's it up to, 500 or 600 million worldwide? If only Green Lantern could have had half of that turnout!
  24. Ahhh! gotcha! I'm sure it'll be along sometime this week. Can't wait! I got into minimates in the first place because of the anticipation for these! Love em all so far! Minimates have become a slight addiction to me since I started collecting the movie GB's with the first four pack. It's amazing how detailed the little guys are. Currently have all the movie GB's aside from a couple of four packs, the movie Avengers, and the RGB two packs. I need to get the little case they can be stored in. Also thinking about investing in the X-Men First Class figs.
  25. I ordered Egyptian Ghost and Sam Hain online, too. Couldn't find them anywhere. Great set. They arrived earlier today. Bring on Peter and Winston. How long did it take to get? I didn't receive any kind of order confirmation yet, but they just drafted my account today. It's not a big deal, just ready to complete them! I had a free trial of Shoprunner, so it was 2 day free shipping.
