  1. Someone on the Matty forums says that he was notified that it would ship by Thursday. It also said that Matty wasn't expecting them to sell this fast and are working hard to fill all the orders. I say that's good news for those wanting another prop (or two?) next year from Matty. My wife hasn't mentioned whether or not she's got a shipping notice. Gosh, I hope these arrive by Christmas.
  2. Personally, I can't wait for Wednesday so I can order Supes and Zod (finally). The crystal accessories that come with him look awesome. Forgot that SDCC showed off the kryptonite chain, but don't remember seeing that in some of the first looks. Is that still an accessory?
  3. That is awesome! Yeah, I figure it's all about the box on this one! So cool you got it, about what size is the box in inches? That's a bit disappointing, then @sad@ . I knew it was mainly for the the box, but I was hoping for an interesting new spin on the traditional marshmallow.
  4. Agreed, Im sure they wouldnt even bother if the cost per unit was $500. Once the molds are made, and the assembly is in order, shouldnt be much to produce it. I know I know. But I remember back to when Master Replica's was looking into this license and they realized the costs would be too high. I'm rooting for a pack, but I understand it will be some commitment on Mattel's part. Thanks for the congrats guys. Believe it or not, no comic names or Star Wars name. If it is a boy we have the name Cameron Wesley Wittman. At first glance you would see nothing unusual, but it reflects my wife and I's other loves. Cameron is for Cameron Indoor Stadium, home court to the Duke Blue Devils where we went to school, and Wesley is for John Wesley, the founder of The United Methodist Church that the wife and I are pastors of. The girls name will be Mikeyla (I really don't know how to spell that. No nerdom there, just a name that my wife has always wanted to name a girl and I have no say in the matter. To bring this back to topic...NO SNIFFER! I'm right there with you. Yes, Mattel, stick to memorable props that the average fan can relate to. That's why the Ghostbusters 2 Giga meter, though something I wouldn't mind having, is probably not a good choice either.
  5. agreed, I would imagine an opening and closing trap w/ foot pedal would probably cost around the same since there would be little to no electronics (maybe a blinking light and sound like when the trap is full) I want the trap asap as well. I will say that it will cost a bit more than a PKE. There's more plastic in the actual trap, let alone in the pedal. The servos and electronics might be a bit more than the PKE, too. It could get close to somewhere around the $100 mark. Me, personally, would shell that out in a heartbeat if they did as great as they did with the PKE, but others with only a passing interest in the props might feel the same way. Perhaps, but honestly I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. Then I'd have a PKE and a trap, but no pack... unless mattel does the coolest thing ever and sells one. $250 is the highest I would go for that. I think that would be a price that Mattel would aim for to make a pack for. Die hards with no workshop of their own will shell out as much as $1500 for a pack with lights and sounds, but your average Ghostbuster fan/consumer's not going to. My personal price is under $500 and it would, again, have to be a masterpiece like the trap. That means $250 would be a super easy decision for me unless it's a bad time financially for me which isn't a stretch with a baby on the way.

  7. I read in the latest mattel Q&A that the retro RGB's will ideally come out in january, so I think we can both scratch them off our christmas list, They're available on Ebay from very reputable sellers for $22 ad sent links to the parents. They're also available through Amoktime.com and Peter's available through Entertainmentearth.com. The man missing in action, mostly, is Egon. There was a seller on Ebay with him for $24, but last time I checked he was either pulled or sold out. Good to know, thanks for the info Certainly welcome. I wouldn't have jumped on the Ebay wagon so quickly, but I felt the dealer had a very fair price considering they'll be, I'm guessing, anywhere from $20 or $25 at TRU.
  8. I was actually driving back from a meeting yesterday with a pastor friend in the neighborhood and he was telling me about his two year old son and how wherever he went a wave of toys followed. I told him my wife has the same complaint. I'm currently surrounded by my recently received Winston 12" and Citizen Ghost Peter with a DCUC Gold on a stack of comics next to me. Mom called yesterday and said she went overboard spending on Christmas and said it might be a good idea for me to pick up 12" Superman myself. So, I'll get Supes and Zod with my Christmas bonus and ask Laura to wrap them when I get them so they still feel like presents on Christmas.

  10. I have a store down the road with glass bottle RC's all the time. Pure delicious. Have been eying these Stay Puft Marshmallows for a long time, but I haven't broken down and gotten them yet. I didn't think to ask for them for Christmas, but my list is huge (4 Retro RGB's, Wave 1 Green Lantern Classics, 12" Movie Masters Superman, and a PKE <- How old is this guy?).
  11. In case you haven't checked, the PKE Meter is officially sold out. There are some rumors on other boards that Matty simply pulled it, but I don't buy that conspiracy theory. I think people saw the 'Almost Gone' logo and decided to go for it.
  12. I have seen two sellers on ebay that have all four Retro Action Ghostbusters. One has three of them and not Egon, the other has three of them and not Winston. I have yet to see a seller with all four. Amoktime.com has all but Egon, too. Wierd. I don't know if this is extremely wishful thinking, but after emailing my mommy (yes a 27 yr old has his mother's number listed in his phone as "Mommy") I noticed that each one of the sellers I sent her the links to had one less available. What better way to get these than for free!
  13. These have been added to my Christmas list. I have the Citizen Ghost Peter and think he's a great little figure. Plus, finding all four RGB under the tree will bring back wonderful childhood memories.
  14. This in from Ebay: They have Peter, Ray, and Egon for sale on Ebay while Entertainment Earth has a case in and Peter, but the other three are still up for preorder as a group or by themselves.
  15. The PKE Meter is reading "Almost Gone." This is certainly good news for any of us hoping to see more props. As a reply to the question about my RGB PKE. The toy was blue and red, but the cartoons was always a darker blue and sometimes grey. I just wanted it to be black to match my other props (fingers crossed for a Matty Trap). I was a little less harsh on the buyer when I saw it in action as it would be a lie to say he didn't do an exceptional job on the design and the electronics. It has two LED sequences, a straight line the goes diagonally down the display and one that has more of a curved arc to imitate what was seen in the cartoon. There are dials to control the volume and the speed of the sequence and the yellow lights on the antennas to match the same speed. There's also an easter egg in which it will play the GB theme with a 'fake electronic light show' put on by the led's. It's very nice.
  16. This is the only one I have at the moment.
  17. That is good that it worked for you, I was only calling it a mess because you said it didn't work properly. Trust me. It was a mess when I got it, but it looked great together.
  18. Finally found a Gold. Funny enough, when I went to check out she scanned it and it came up $7 and some change. I didn't do a price match or anything. This happen to anyone else?
  19. Yes, I did end up keeping the 'mess.' After all my complaining I finally sat down and put it together. Took no time at all and ended up working phenomenally. Still, upset with how it came, but I'm working with the guy to fix that. Plus it's my favorite version of the PKE (Real Ghostbuster), and will be something different to show off when everyone's walking around with their Matty PKE. Plus, Plus I get to play around with it while waiting for Christmas. As for ordering, yes, this was my worst experience ever. It took me over an hour to get through, but I did take a quick shower in between and the screen was up when I got back. However, it did go into WSOD when I placed my order.
  20. Yeah, I've bought each new release as they've happened aside from 12" Winston. Ordered him Monday, though. The PKE is finally ordered! One in the box, ready to go, I be fast, but Digital River's damn slow.
  21. Agreed. My wife's under strict orders to immediately wrap and hide this beauty from me until Christmas. No temptations. Well I just made it to the ordering page. Added it to the cart, signed in, and...more white screen of death.
  22. Right there with you. I'm still on the white screen of death.
  23. Yay! WSOD on PKE day. No really, yay. Means this thing could sell real well and we see another prop.
  24. Oh, I'm, personally, a Matty vet with an average time of 10 or 15 min. whenever I do. I just want to get the wife's information in there since she's getting it for me.
  25. Hey guys! I have a favor please. Is there a way to sign into Mattycollector.com before you order? My wife's buying this for me for Christmas, but she's having me do the dirty work and order the thing. I want to get her information in the computer though without a lot of hassle on ordering day.
