  1. I would've posted the above comment much earlier this morning, but I have not been able to put the thing down. And so you know, I have picked up major valences from each one of our dogs. "Cats and dogs living together. Mass hysteria!"
  2. What's the average price on a Hot Toys figure and where is the best place to buy them. I've been tempted to take the plunge for a little while and seeing there upcoming line up (Indiana Jones, 89 Batman, and Metal Gear Solid in particular) is making it hard to resist.
  3. Just to be clear, your definition of classic is what I was trying to point out in my post. I am right there with you on this Wave. I'm glad that for once I want every figure even without the BAF. The Anti-Monitor is just sweet, sweet icing on the cake. I guess this wave will be easy to find for us few that are excited for it.
  4. The pic of the feet is to show how they can be angled. Also looking at the Reeve figure the problem or the thing that holds him back is the eyes, the hair, the nose, and the mouth are perfect. Tomorrow, my friend. Tomorrow Superman will kneel before Zod.
  5. You know, that would have been an excellent idea instead of yet another Hal: a white Sinestro with a variant correct height Sinestro Corp version. Even I would have preferred a White Lantern Sinestro instead of Hal. Again, that was a 'classic' moment in the story line. I guess my point of view is different from the majority because I'm relatively new to comic collecting. Teams like the Doom Patrol, the Forever Men, and, for a time, the Metal Men were easy skips for me. If it wasn't for my guilty pleasure of watching Batman TBATB I wouldn't have a clue to most of the 'classic' universe. So for me, this wave is a breath of fresh air in that it is something that is made available right when I want it. With that said, the coolness of this toy line is that it has pushed me to learn more about the DC Universe. Sometimes that BAF has made me buy a few figures I wouldn't really want, but after further research I've grown to appreciate them.
  6. Should get mine tomorrow by 5 or 6PM. Can't wait. Here are some clues for Mattel Now that is an awesome Clark. Yes, Matty, take note! Meanwhile, UPS got me out of bed this morning with my Supes and Zod. I sent Superman away with my wife to be wrapped and put under the tree. A little gift from me to me to carry on the tradition my Dad started a long time ago. I did break out Zod, though, to tide me over. I'll let him threaten Metropolis while everyone screams, "Where's Superman?" Why he's in a box under the tree! I can say from Zod alone that everyone who says they look better in person is right. I don't know why these things don't photograph well, but Zod's figure has an incredible likeness. I was peeved to see that there is a small dot on his nose where the paint was chipped, though. Oh yes, Zod is quite amazing. I don't have my Superman yet....later today......but I agree the pics of Zod didn't do him justice and I really hope the Superman turns out that way. I am sorry to hear about the paint chip on his nose that is a big bummer. It is funny that these are available on MC yet people are bidding on these online at the same prices??? Also a ton of people preordered these at BBTS for 90.00 bucks while even today they are still available. Now that does not make any sense at all. I guess some people WANT to pay more.
  7. I'm with you Shokker. I opened up the link to Wave 17 on the main page and went, "Awesome!" I immediately wanted these in DCUC the moment I saw them revealed in Blackest Night. It was such a great moment in the comics. Then I came on the boards and found nothing, but disdain. Surely there are more GL fans that are excited about this. Sorry to all of you who don't want them, but I'll pick them up the moment I see them. And, no offense, but even the extremely liked waves clog the pegs. It's the nature of DCUC. We cry foul when a new wave is super hard to find and then later we cry foul when they are everywhere and keeping us from find the newer waves.

  9. Nothing, they did know I did that till a told them a few years ago and they both just kind of laughed. Got home last night, wife was at work and I convienced her to at least let me see the box when it got here the other day, so since there is not more packaging beyond that woodencrate box, I just took it out and played with it a little. Man, this thing sure is awesome! I found myself wanting to play with it again after she got home... Christmas cannot come fast enough. My wife has said two or three times that we can exchange gifts early this year, but I think it's less out of charity and more out of wanting her own gift. So far, I have resisted each time. I have not seen it beyond the wrapping paper. I'm shooting for Christmas Eve when we exchange gifts. That way I can use it to scan gifts before opening them on the big morning. This word...patience...I've never understood it before. Heck, today I handed off my Reeve 12" Superman from Matty before taking a peek at it to be wrapped, too.
  10. Most of you may have already seen this, but just in case I'll post this link for the Courtroom Peter sale from Matty: http://www.mattycollector.com/DRHM/store?Action=DisplayProductDetailsPage&SiteID=matty&Locale=en_US&Env=BASE&productID=223204500 Guess I need to get used to these figures getting ordered for me through Club Ecto. Nice to see some changes to the packaging for GB II figs, but I'd love to see a lot more variation since the rest of the card back screams GB I.
  11. I would pass on a Super Friends wave, too.
  12. I'll agree to disagree on this one, but it may have something to do with a great love for Green Lantern. I don't collect DCD so having these figs in my collection, especially in DCUC scale, is awesome. I do understand that they could have released these in the GLC line and makes much more since, but I'm not going to complain. This is the first full wave in a while that I actually want all of. Wave 16 came close, but I have no interest in Creeper and only a little in Jonah Hex.
  13. I think she knows you might not be able to refrain yourself from opening it Trust me, I've been trying to talk her into letting me open it. Patience stinks. Does the thing already come with batteries?
  14. ... ... .... what did your rents do/say? .... @loll@ I know I'm not who you were talking to, but if my dad saw me playing it, he would've joined me. I remember we were going through and taking turns with certain levels of Goldeneye (this was on Christmas Day). On one of his play through's I remember taking out a bunch of soldiers all while screaming, "Die! you Commie bastards!" If you knew my dad, it's not one of his usual phrases.
  15. I went over to the church this morning to setup for Bible study. Saw UPS pull up and take a box to the front porch. I come home and my wife says they were books for school from Amazon, all while wearing a mischievous grin on her face. Now she's just teasing me. I want to see it now!
  16. Thanks, I am enjoying it a lot, but the plan is to get a full get up (proton pack included) that looks as good as yours man (tho I prefer the movie 1 colors) by next year's halloween. I also admire your patience, I just couldn't wait to open it, so my christmas tree will have nothing under it this year as I already got everything I wanted and gave my wife her present in advance. Patience is a new thing for me. I have a GB 1 uniform, as well, though the pack is a GB2. I didn't build it myself but if you have a question just let me know. I can maybe point you in the right direction.
  17. And the wait gets that much harder. Mine will be here tomorrow, but I can't see it until Saturday. Did it on purpose, though. Gives me something special to look forward to. Enjoy it!
  18. Gosh I cannot wait for mine to arrive. Got my shipping notice last night around midnight. This sucker will be at my house w/ Zod on Thursday and under the tree on Saturday. It will take massive willpower to hand it off to my wife to wrap it rather than just going ahead and opening it.
  19. Super excited for you! I'm going to check the email right now and see if my Christmas miracle is a go. Though, with the PKE in transit one can argue that Superman or no, it's on.
  20. Just fantasizing here, but do you think a Clark Kent accessory pack could ever be possible for Matty's Superman figure. I keep seeing the Hot Toys Returns Clark Kent/Superman 2 in 1 figure and wishing they did something like it. They had some HT Clark Kent duds on ebay from the pack. Are they in a similar scale?
  21. congrats man. Yes, I am very happy. With no shipping confirmation I know they won't be here before Christmas but just happy to have them. I think it has something to do with Mastercard and when the payment is truly confirmed in the system. Don't give up hope, too quickly. The PKE's started shipping yesterday and with standard shipping are set to arrive by Tuesday. If it ships out by tomorrow there could still be a chance of making it before Friday of next week. But I am on the east coast in Philadelphia, so it takes us longer to get items. You are probably in central or mountain time. Oh I'm over in the wonderful east coast state of North Carolina. I'm actually impressed at the PKE shipping. I literally went from thinking it would take a miracle to arrive on next Friday to, geez, it's going to be here Tuesday. So who knows when Supes and Zod could arrive.
  22. Did you do some overnight shipping action or something? Mine is expected to be here Tuesday. Merry Christmas, all! That's the one gift that would be sorely missed under the tree. Now if Matty will go ahead and ship Supes and Zod.
  23. congrats man. Yes, I am very happy. With no shipping confirmation I know they won't be here before Christmas but just happy to have them. 24. Just a little more of an 'official' confirmation on shipping. I won't repost what was said, but THE Matty posted on the Matty forums saying their shipment of PKE's is received and they will begin going out tomorrow. I just need it by Friday and Christmas will be...well full of Ghostbusters and splendid!
  25. Picked up one of Zod and Superman. This was a surprisingly easy venture onto Mattycollector.com. Logged on at about 12:20 and was done by 12:30. Also surprised to see ol' Buzzy still available. I want him bad, but shipping and tax on the other order made it not so. Now here's hoping they get here before Christmas so my wife can wrap them up and put them under the tree.
