  1. I preordered all five and got an extra Faker, too. I've really slowed down over the years with MOTUC, but every now and then the urge hits, and these were way too cool to pass up. I'm torn with what to do with these. My preference is usually to open my figures, but I also have the 8-back characters and a few favorites MOC. These will feature resealable packaging, which is really neat, so that gives me options.
  2. Man, this is incredible. Very impressive and entertaining, too.
  3. Great paint work on this one.
  4. Great. It might not work for a real cape , but the fact it holds its shape makes the figure look that much better.
  5. Nice. What did you make the cape out of?
  6. I don't have much insight but I absolutely agree with you. Very frustrating. My (possibly expensive) suggestion would be to track down multiples of the same figure and piece together one that's not yellowed. Maybe they'll yellow anyway eventually, but if a 30 year-old figure has parts that haven't yellowed yet, it seems you have better odds of it not happening at all.
  7. Like others, I'm still here but not as often as I used to or would like (when the discussion was more lively). I check the main page every day, but the forums I check a little less. I still like it here.
  8. This is really awesome. Great job!
  9. I agree with you, Rockzilla. Unfortunately the US has turned pro-monopoly over the last decade or two, and this will probably happen anyway. And it's always hidden under the guise of "better for the consumer" because of promises to not raise rates for a year or some other amount of ridiculousness. The further we go in the opposite direction, the harder it is to come back. But as you say, competition keeps prices in check. That's always been the case. I'm glad this failed.
  10. What was the name of the man-wolf (Bruce's friend) from Batman: The Animated Series? I think he's a necessary inclusion. That's one of my earliest memories of that show even though I watched every episode from the time it first aired. We also need the Phantasm, but larger and more threatening than the figure from the original BTAS line.
  11. I'm just now seeing it but the last one is great.
  12. I got it and it's awesome. Thanks again, man. I was just getting on here to tell you it arrived. Way cooler than the pictures made him seem.

I owe you one, for sure. If there's a figure you want me to keep an eye out for, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

  13. Sorry, man! I'm really slipping on posting. I just saw your message. But yeah, I appreciate the offer. What do you want for him? I know he was going for a decent amount on eBay. It's probably even higher prices now.

  14. I honestly like the guy, and its somehow fitting that the big screen's first Aquaman is a Baywatch alum, I just hope they don't dye his hair. You want him with brown hair? I want it to look natural, which is what I suspect you mean/want, so brown is okay since Mamoa has brown hair, but I think a dye-job would be okay. Not full on Hulk Hogan blonde, but something lighter than what he normally sports maybe. Either way I like this pick. He could be really good.
  15. This is a decent looking figure. Sinestro from this line is, too. But Superman looks like junk. And Batman is better looking than Superman but still not great. Mattel really hurt themselves there. If you want people to buy into a line, you gotta deliver with your big guns out of the gate. What if the DCUC Batman from Wave 1 had been garbage instead of a total homerun? I'm not entirely against this line. It's a nice change-up after DCUC. I like the stylization. But they gotta step it up a little. With no additional paint opps to improve the appearance, they really have to nail the sculpts. And so far, I'm disappointed. That Superman figure looks as bad as the Brave and the Bold Superman or that Supes that was made for that generic Batman line. Pretty much inexcusable.
  16. I don't have Fang Man. The figures I bought recently were Filmation mostly, but Fang Man wasn't in there. You on the hunt for one?

  17. Hey, man! I just saw your message. I've been slacking on the posting. ;) But yeah, I still have my collection. I haven't gotten rid of anything, but I haven't really added much, either. I did buy a few figures on eBay a few months back because they were good deals. What about you? You still collecting?

  18. Well, eight figures (assuming the first and second wave at least are guaranteed) is a pretty good start. Depending on the character selection, you could have a fairly "complete" animated Batman collection in two waves (though I don't know if they'll put so many big guns into the first two waves), so I could see two waves alone being worth the price. This line has so much potential it's scary... That explains it. Thanks, mate.
  19. I like New Adventures, and these are still freakin' sweet, but I'm a little surprised they're going with NA. Isn't the Catwoman figure going to be the one from Batman The Animated Series or did I imagine that? But Batman, Two-Face, and Mr. Freeze are all NA? It's early and the line is just starting, but I'm curious about the heavy NA influence so far.
  20. Yeah, the pricing is excellent. This is how it used to be, or how it's always been really. A single figure is the most expensive, two is a little cheaper, three is even cheaper than that, etc. Mattel has adopted the "no price break at all no matter how many figures the pack has" mentality. Good on Hasbro for making it a little easier to buy their product.
  21. I'd definitely want a TAS Robin. I agree they're gonna spread out the heavy hitters, but then again most of The Animated Series characters are heavy hitters (like Batman's entire Rogue's Gallery). You think we'll get a Commissioner Gordon? I'd love to see a Phantasm, too. With TAS Batman and TAS Robin, Phantasm might be my most wanted. I had the Phantasm (still do actually) from the original line, but it was so obviously female, it was a little underwhelming, so I'd like one that fits what the Phantasm looked like in Mask Of The Phantasm (which made you think it was a big, intimidating guy in the costume).
