  1. If anything I hope they manage to carry on the story with a new named series on the new Hasbro/Discovery kids network. As for the matrix. It makes sense that its just the Allspark that Prowl merged his spark with. Could be more to it though.
  2. Roadbuster and a proper Ultra Magnus would be the first ones on my list.
  3. Yeah sorry. was looking at an older page. updated now with all 24 picks. No biggie. I just suffered through the Supplemental draft... Seemed the theme was split them up and put them back together. Nothing really big. The New Heart Foundation on ECU is the only good thing I can see out of all of this.
  4. You missed Charley Haas to SD Bree Bella to Raw Hurricane Helms to ECW
  5. NASCAR.com interview Ric Flair, now a supposedly retired professional wrestler who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, has signed on as honorary race director for the 25th running of the All-Star Race at Charlotte. The event will be held May 16. Flair, who once was spotted cutting his own grass in wrestling tights in a middle-class Charlotte neighborhood before he made it really big, says he can relate to NASCAR fans and drivers. He talked about that and much more ... Q: What do you like so much about NASCAR? I love the entertainment factor and I really appreciate what these guys do as athletes and drivers, and how courageous they are. I've been living in Charlotte my whole life, but I've been pretty much on the outside looking in. So this is great. Q: You seem to like the idea of Kyle Busch kind of taking on "just about everybody else" in the sport. Why is that? I think he's great for the sport. Tony Stewart had that reputation for a while, but Kyle has kind of pushed him aside. I think it's great to have one guy who doesn't get along with anybody. Q: Do you have a favorite driver? For me, it's who I know the best. I really like David Ragan a lot. David's really a great guy and we've become fairly good friends. My favorite driver right now -- and I know a lot of people will hate me for it -- but it's Jeff Gordon, just for what he's done for the sport. I think Jeff, even though he hasn't won a lot the last couple of years, I think he and [Dale] Earnhardt are really the two that put the sport on the map. Q: Have you met Jeff Gordon? I've met him many times. I don't know him well, but I respect what he's done for his sport. I can't help but love him, because he's done so much for the sport -- just as Earnhardt did. I love the old-timers like Richard Petty and Cale Yarborough, too, for the same reason. You've got to love the old-timers. I've been around that long. Q: What kind of driver do you think you would have been if you had pursued that instead of pro wrestling? I would have been like Kyle Busch. You try to win. You don't get along with anyone in a sport like that. You can't. It's nice to have teammates, but at the end of the day, you want to win regardless of whether you're driving for the same owner or not. You just want to win, and you'll do whatever it takes to do it. That's what he's like, and that's what I would be like as a driver. Q: How are you going to bring your brand of excitement to the All-Star race? I'm going to really put a lot of energy into the promotional end of it. I really love the sport. ... The great thing about NASCAR and wrestling is the cross-demographic appeal between the fans. But I really think wrestlers -- and our company, World Wrestling Entertainment, is huge and around the world -- but I think the wrestlers and these guys, meaning the drivers and owners and the people who run these race tracks, really understand the importance of fan appreciation. The NBA, NFL, they don't care what the fans think. They're making too much money through television and all that. But with us and racing, the fans make or break us with their loyalty for the sport. So you give the fans all that you can, and that's what I'm going to try to help out with. Q: Are you afraid they may ask you to do something kind of crazy? No, I'm up for anything. I'll drive if I have to. I would want a few lessons first. Q: Maybe you could coach the drivers on what to do if someone ticks them off? Yeah, I could teach them what to do if someone bumps them out of the race. I could help with that. I'm going to help them learn how to be more aggressive after something happens. No. 1, they don't fight with their helmets on; they take 'em off so they can really get punched. Q: Who else in wrestling would be a good NASCAR driver? What about, say, a guy like The Undertaker? Oh, he would be a great driver. He's real courageous. John Cena would love it. He's really close to Carl Edwards and he loves NASCAR. On Sunday afternoons, when we're doing pay-per-views (wrestling shows), the whole company is watching the NASCAR race. I guess I can't say individually who would be a good driver, but I know Cena would love it. Dave Batista would like it. It's cool, it's interesting. These guys are unique. I mean, who goes out and drives 200 miles an hour right off some guy's bumper? Who does that? Q: You saw pictures Kevin Harvick and Edwards going at it in the garage area at Lowe's Motor Speedway last year, didn't you? What did you think of that little scuffle? Well, there's got to be tension in the sport. There just has to be. I mean, you do one thing wrong and you could be upside down and dead. It's unbelievable. What I'm trying to say is that it's just a real high-risk way of making a living. Those guys drive at 200 miles an hour. Sponsors pay the big money and expect results. I'd be a little volatile about it, too, if someone rear-ended me and knocked me out of a race. Q: Who would you like in a wrestling match between Harvick and Edwards? Well, I've seen this man (jerking a thumb toward Harvick), so I would have to go with Kevin. I couldn't savage on Cena and take Edwards, because that's John's guy. Carl is a good guy, though, and he likes wrestling, too. Q: There have been times when NASCAR makes rules changes and folks say in a derogatory way that they're making it more like pro wrestling. How do you feel about that? First of all, there is no way in the world that you can underestimate what it takes to be a NASCAR driver. In wrestling, our ability for showmanship and to produce an aura of sports entertainment at a high level is something that everybody -- football, basketball -- they've all picked that up to some degree. It's all part of the same promotional package. In NASCAR, when you're driving cars at that speed, it's never anything less than 100 percent. It is what it is. So you can never denounce NASCAR, or really compare the two of them. We think we have a rough, tough way of making a living -- but we're not driving cars at 200 miles an hour. We do get hurt a lot, but it's a different deal. I think when wrestling gets involved with these other sports, it's because we know how to market ourselves. We know how to make an event seem even bigger than it really is, bigger than maybe it should be. We definitely know how to do that. Q: So you don't take offense when people compare racing to wrestling? Not at all. In wrestling, we're involved in so many facets of sports entertainment now that everyone uses our stuff. Whatever off-season it is in the other major sports, you can find the biggest stars from that sport attending our events -- just like we go to their events. We have a level of respect within the communities, and a level of respect between the athletes. Q: If racing was really like wrestling, wouldn't Dale Earnhardt Jr. win every week? Why? Because he's the most popular (laughing)? I don't know. I have a hard time understanding that. I know his dad was tremendously popular, and obviously the name is just unbelievable. And I understand the deal about Jeff being from California, and being too slick for the country people to understand. But I can't figure out why Jeff and some other people haven't reached that same level of popularity. I know the Earnhardt name is huge, and Dale is an awesome guy. So I hope he does win. Q: So are you really retired or not? Yeah, I'm retired. I retired last March. Q: We know that. Yet you keep showing up on the wrestling shows every once in a while ... I'll do promotions for them and stuff like that. But if [Chris] Jericho pushes my buttons, I'm gonna wrestle him. I'll wait and see what happens. ... He doesn't have much respect for us. It's kind of like someone [in NASCAR] cracking on Richard Petty. How can you crack on Richard Petty? What could you possibly say? That's kind of what Jericho is doing with some of our older guys now. He doesn't have enough mileage on him to be cracking on anybody."
  6. While we're discussing old guys, it sure was interesting to run into retired professional wrestler Ric Flair at Lowe's Motor Speedway last Friday -- where it was announced that the Nature Boy, who recently turned 60, will be bringing his certain, um, flair to the Sprint Cup All-Star race in May. As "honorary race director," Flair will basically try to pump up the volume and sell tickets leading up to the race while also handling some other race-day duties, like assisting with driver introductions. Any conversation with Flair is sure to be entertaining. But so was the backdrop Friday at LMS. The promotional staff at the track had come up with an oversized poster promoting the "All-Star Slugfest" with the headliner match between Kevin "Happy" Harvick and "Cousin" Carl Edwards, plus a Transmission Submission Match between Dale "The People's Champ" Junior (apparently no last name was necessary) and Tony "Smoke" Stewart; an Intercontinental Roll Cage Match between Kurt "Vegas Violator" Busch and Kasey "Night Train" Kahne; and a Grudge Match between Kyle "Rowdy" Busch and "Just About Everybody." Flair admitted he probably would be like the younger Busch if he had been a professional driver instead of a wrestler. "It's kind of cool to be the one guy most everybody else loves to hate. I've been known to [tick] some people off," he said. From NASCAR.com
  7. The same thing happened here at the show I was at Friday.
  8. This sucks. We are going to a house show Friday. My daughter is a huge Cena fan. Without him there I feel like I wasted my money getting tickets....
  9. Going to the Campaign Il Jan 30th date. What all should I expect? Is it anything like what is televised is basically what I am asking.
  10. The VTOL fans look to be removable and can connect to the top of the wings. I would rather have the BOTCON Thrust wings myself.
  11. possible spoilers From what I read. Kirks Dad is the Commander of the Kelvin for a very brief stint of a few Min.
  12. Hasbro and Takara have 2 sets of wings for both out there now. With a mild paint change one of these exclusive sets should hit the US market.
  13. Being a member I have seen the pic of bot mode. I am not that impressed. If I had a working scanner I would hook you guys up, but its offlined... The old dinobot with some mold changes would be better. The head is accurate but the rest needs help.
  14. True, but Trailbreaker is good news since he hasn't been reissued in quite a while. Where Hoist was a Hasbro reissue not to many years ago. This is going to put an early hurt on my toy budget with Sunstorm being reissued as well.
  15. Word going around is that Trailbreaker and Hoist are the next in line.
  16. I am waiting to see a size comparison with a BT. So far I want to get it. Price at $50 still is steep unless its loaded with metal.
  17. Not bad but way to pricey. I am satisfied finally having Omega. SO I don't need this.

    classics

Why not Kup and Arcee? Jazz and Wheeljack would be higher on the list for me though. Better yet a real Ultra Magnus armor and all. Then finish all the seekers. Minor paint tweaks to the BOTCON molds could send them to retail without violating the BOTCON exclusivity.
  19. Definitely on my to get list. This makes me wonder if the other seakers will be released. The botcon set with minor paint tweaks would be well worth it.
  20. Looks better then oil slick. I would buy it.
  21. Things aren't to bad. Galvatron is way to small though. I can handle Powerglide being the size he is. Unfortunately though with this tend we will probably end up with a deluxe Omega Supreme....
  22. A site for all things collectible. We started out as a group of guys from ADC that spun off and started our own thing a few years ago. www.energonstation.com
