  1. That is similar, and very awsome, but not the one I remember. The one I remember had 3 or 4 floors. I do like the ramps and stairs going to the other levels on this one. The one I saw did not have any visible means of moving between floors. I remember thinking that when I built my own, I would have to add something, even if it is only an elevator door.

    Decky Hedrock I think http://www.geocities.com/hedrock.rm/

Anyone know whatever happened to him? He disappeared along time ago. I know he used to be a member here.

I heard he turned into a werewolf, that could just be a rumor though.

Still here!! And rumors that I turned into a werewolf are greatly exagerated......I shaved my back only yesterday lol

  2. Your best bet is to try the second hand stores. GI Joe stopped selling over here a few years back and it was basically what was already released in the US anyhow.

A store called Poundstretcher DOES get the occassional GVC or VvV pack in tho and would be worth trying.

Unfortunately, Hamleys probably wouldn't have anything.

  3. What alot of people don't know is that after Palitoys Action Force line died, they sold the rights to some other company who actually released the figures in little 4 packs e.g. Duke, Quarrel, Major Bludd and Red Lazer all in the same pack!

I'm sure the figures were actually just random figures, as they did not have any filecards or names. The packs were prett generic, similar colours to the AF packs but without the logos etc. They also would have mixed the figures with the old style AF figures from Q-Force, Z-Force etc too.

I bought a few of these back in the day (around 1985?) to stock up on figures that I missed.

I have actually seen these packs show up on ebay, but have Star Wars figures inside...so obviously the same cmpany bought the rights from Kenner to sell those here in the UK also.

  4. Why don`t the get Larry Hama back to do a series?

Actually, I think it`d be cool if they actually had a story line done by Hama, but with artwork in TWO formats:

    1. The oldskool Marvel GI Joe way (80s styled pencils) or 2. The Devils Due new style glossy art way. So you can choose what way you want your read, for nostaligias sake or new skool Joe....or both! :)

If anyone has seen the way the artwork for the Oktober Guard developing originally from Pravda Patrol to thier first encounter in GI Joe, sort of gave me this idea.

I must admit that I am currently catching up on my Marvel GI Joe comics (never read above issue #103 back in the day) and I am REALLY enjoying Larry Hamas style and can`t pin point what makes him so special and why his storys are so good. I also like the addition of the new vehicles and characters....maybe thats part of the appeal for me?

This is why I also really liked Brandon Jerwas style with Joe, altho it did seem a bit rushed at times. I'm liking Joe Caseys story, but not as much as Jerwa, and finally Josh Blaylocks run coming in last, it was good but didn`t really get anywhere.

So is there anything stopping Larry Hama from throwing down more GI Joe missions?

  5. This is something I`ve honestly been worndering about recently...

If a show is shown on TV and you record it on your VCR/DVD etc...is that piracy?

If the show is broadcast on a national TV channel and has an estimated audience of millions (for example). Can you let someone borrow this copy of the show that you recorded?

Is this the same as uploading it to the internet and letting people that missed the show download it?

I do understand licensing laws (to a degree), but I`ve been wondering about this type of situation....when it comes to TV.

    Can anyone shed some light?

    Decky Hedrock.

  6. No thats not it!! I saw that already to make sure that Smalljoes wasn`t selling it, incase it was old news. It`s a different tank completely.

I`ve also checked around online and can`t find anything related to it.

It`s on the NEW Corps packaging....which is a rip of of the open front GI Joe packs (ala Spytroops). Some of the older vehicles have been recoloured too.

  7. Hi all,

I am just back from my local toy store (UK based) and I noticed that on the backs of the Corps figures/vehicles etc a pic of the NEW "Rhino" vehicle.

This thing looks like it has GREAT potential for Joes.

It`s like a cross between the Warthog and Wolverine!

There were none at the store I was in, on display, so I can`t say for sure the size etc, but from the pic it looks like a decent size (chunky but small) and with the Corps it should be pretty inexpensive.

Has anyone else came across this?

    Thanks,

    Decky Hedrock.
