  1. Well I'm not going to jump ship and hop on the 8" bandwagon like others, but otherwise I agree with JayC. This was as lackluster a selection of figures as Wave 3 was. It seems Hasbro was doing great up through Wave 2 and then by the time they hit 3 just ran out of good ideas. I'm still hoping the 3 3/4" will make a comeback it just doesn't look like that will happen any time too soon.
  2. Kick ass! Yeah it's not 100% perfect but I still can't wait to see it.
  3. The Target exclusive Universe Constructicons are better.
  4. Yeah, this fighter had already been used a lot but this is the best version I've seen them come out with. We finally get this fighter for the bad guys. Plus it may be the one Star Wars toy I actually buy since I was 7.
  5. I would be happy simply to have 3 3/4" size versions of some of the 2.5" Sigma 6 vehicles like the Firebat and Razor's Edge. For all we know the figure molds would be completely new so if vehicles were made, odds are they would be newly designed as well.
  6. Yeah, that's a sign of a healthy marriage alright. Congrats on the gift and the spouse.
  7. On that note I'd have to agree. It's only too bad Hasbro didn't think of this when they relaunched the 3 3/4 line. Dingbats.
  8. VENOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alright, it's finally official! This is going to blow the previous Spider-Man films out of the water with Venom's inclusion in this one.
  9. Yeah, this is the perfect example of how Hasbro could have screwed up the new G.I. Joe animated series. Fortunately, since they wanted to go with an Anime look they actually hired a REAL Anime studio to make it. This thing looks so cheap.
  10. Great profiles as always VF. Interesting your idea of what role the Shadow Guard serves in the COBRA Empire coincide closer with my own rather then others. In terms that they seem like more of a secret ops unit that reports directly to COBRA's leader, rather then as a COBRA secret police. The Marauder weapons look great in those pics, but those CG helmets still seem to big to me. That's why I'm estatic Marauder John will be producing berets for his next assortment of accessories. They should like much more proportionate then those helmets. But still great photos.
  11. The original has the best design but poor colors. Version 6 had the best color scheme in my opinion.
  12. Cobra Commander and a couple COBRA Troopers . . . big woop. The current Joe/TF crossover is still the better choice and sadly it only has one issue left to go.
  13. Reads review of "COBRA Firebat". I @#$&ing hate Hasbro. If they had come out with this jet back when they launched the JvC line I'd already have a fleet of these bad-ass planes and I'd have a proper COBRA airforce. And what do you mean the Night Adder was 'cool' General, are you looney?! The fact that the VAMP is a Joe vehicle makes it easier for me to take the brunt of that blow, but if Hasbro released that jeep as a new version of the Stinger I'd be doubly pissed. My one hope for the 25th anniverssary line is that we get some of these vehicles in 3 3/4" scale. If Hasbro can shrink the Rhino copter and R.O.C.C. I hope they can super size the Firebat.
  14. Best packaging design they've ever come up with for the line. It's gonna be hard resisting the urge to get back into SW figure/vehicle collecting.
  15. Thanks for the clips from the first episode of season 2, they were AWESOME! I'm eagerly awaiting to see the new episodes. Also the 2.5" stuff seems to have a nice selection of extras included. I'd buy in bulk if they were just the right size.

    land of confusion

Now THAT was pretty damn cool! The animation looks like it was done by the same studio that made the Spawn animated series for HBO years ago.
  17. Nice pics as always VF. The background lighting for the Rock-Viper I thought was especially nice. The background accessories like the sand-bags, and Python ASP on that mountain diorama set of yours look great.
  18. ADV Films just announced today at Anime Expo that they're going to release this series in the states. No surprise really since they co-produced the series, which was a bold move on the part of an American Anime distribution company. Although they sure kept it under their hat for the longest time. Early guesses place the first volume arriving in stores in October/November so make sure to keep a lookout in the fall. This series is going to rock!
  19. You know this thing is going to sell well, how couldn't it?! The Viper Lockdown set only had three Vipers and HTS sold out of it in record time. This, for years, has been one of the things that has bugged me about Hasbro. Sets like these are no-brainers you know their going to sell like crazy, but then Hasbro or TRU followed up with less stellar assortments like the Urban Strike Force or Imperial Procession or Crimson Guard sets which were all pegwarmers. Weird. But this set, I'm aiming for a total of at least 40.
  20. I agree with Gilty, New York should be the next location and if not NY then somewhere in the tri-state area. The East Coast has been neglected for too long.
  21. The Silent Castle definitely wins hands down. Give the guy who made that a big round of applause.
