and that will be hitting the bay for sure! looks like the comic has revealed a treadripper repaint and night boomer. I hope I get any pilot driver/ without getting the actual vehcile, as there are images going around of a female pilot i'd like to get.
that's cool with me. I didn't buy the new Skystriker and I don't feel like I am missing anything by not getting the Night Boomer either. and the TreadRipper? seriously? I wouldn't buy that for 10 bucks.

that's a little outside of my personal taste. I love the original Ferret, but was never a fan of the retooled one they used recently. Oh well, at least I am not missing out on something I want.
I still really dig most of the figures from the set though

I agree with each and every choice here CLAM...all except for Beachhead; did you ever see or get the comic two-pack/Hall of Heroes version? I feel like that figure is perfection.
yup, I have that one from the comic pack. and I agree, it's the best version they have done.. and I really like his webgear.. However, I never liked that body for him. I especially hate the strangely shaped arms, with the bulging shoulders.
I feel like the new one from the Retaliation 3-pack is the perfect body, but of course it's not the correct colors. If they repainted that body and gave him the correct webgear, it would be perfection

They did it was based on the Extremis Armor they even got Adi Granov to design and do concept art. I don't mind him having many armors growing up that's one aspect of Iron Man I loved the big hall of armor filled with different types of armors. I actually geeked out at that scene in the trailer where all the armors show up to help him.
Extremis armor? doesn't look like Extremis to me. Ain't this the Extremis armor?

We need to have Doc and Lifeline. That way you get the clear lenses on the glasses instead of the solid ones they did in the past.
I am pretty happy with the 2011 Lifeline. that figure is sick

why are these "Sunbow" figures and not just classic RAH?
anyhow, there are several that desperately need the "Ultimate" treatment:
1983-
Duke - his 25th figure is so outdated now. It needs a complete redo
Destro - I always felt he had one of the worst 25th figures. It's a shame because a new one could be so awesome
Gung Ho - He needs updated sculpting and a bigger, more muscular, body
1984-
Mutt- I never liked his fat lady thighs on the 25th figure
Roadblock - make him bigger and badder, like the new ones
Spirit - ugh.. his 25h figure sucks so hard
1985-
Buzzer - his 25th figure wasn't true to the original
Cobra Eel - I never liked how they just added on his shoulder/chest piece
Torch - the upper body is outdated, the lower body wasn't true to him
1986-
Beachhead - they still haven't done one that is accurate
Dialtone
Leatherneck - he got screwed by bad frankensteining for his 25th figure
Lowlight - his POC figure isn't the classic one
Mainframe - bad parts use
Monkeywrench - bad figure
Wetsuit - not accurate to his classic look
1987-
Falcon - come on man... his 25th figure was weak, his 7-pack figure is Slaughter's Marauders

See, I think a lot of those figures on that list are just fine the way they are. When 25th first came out, everyone was going ga-ga over them. Now I see a lot of requests for redos. I say move forward and do something different.
At the same time, the new figs do look completely awesome and I can't wait for them.
you think those guys look fine? personally, I don't think alot of them can stand up next to the figures we have been getting the last few years. You can't put Sci-Fi and Artight next to Duke and not notice how bad Duke looks with his Mr.Potatohead features
let me ask you then.. isn't the new Cobra Commander much much better than the old one? even though that one was "fine" too?

are the really 3 3/4" or the more like 4" like modern Joes?
I think they are 3 3/4.. they are definitely alot smaller than Marvel Universe figures.

You have a better grasp of the current generation of fans than I do since I was sure that Han was going to win that easily.I can see either Han or Obi winningwell you have to remember that Obi's exposure is actually much higher than Han's. Obi was pretty much the star of the new trilogy. And Ewan McGreggor was pretty great as Obi. Also, he is on the Clone Wars cartoon.
I voted for Obi myself. He is my favorite of all of the Jedi, maybe all of Star Wars

that project is epic! truly amazing work and very enjoyable. I loved everything about it, except for Firefly's ineptitude. It's sad that this thing was better than the real movies!

tough choices in this round for the light side, I can see either Han or Obi winning, same for Luke and Yoda.
R2D2 will beat Leia, and Chewie will beat Ahsoka... easily.
Vader will beat Maul, Boba will beat Jango.
but I am not sure about Jabba vs Cad or Dooku vs Palpatine.

well, obviously the "Ultimate" figures are designed to make a figure as good as it can be. We can see in the new Stormshadow that he required a brand new body.
but quite often Hasbro makes a habit of putting out a figure just to make money and they don't make it as good as it can be. Look at some of the 25th figures that are made from body parts that don't really fit them. Leatherneck is notorious for this, he uses Gung-Ho's head, Buzzer's body WITH a skull on it, Snowjob's legs, etc.. none of these parts work for Leatherneck. But it was cheaper for them to do it this way instead of making him as good as possible, which would have required new sculpting
