  1. 1. How long have you been collecting? 'officially' 86- 99 (before then, I got some old DC books from my grandfather, I got Marvel's Star Wars off and on and most of GIJoe and Transformers since then, I've bought few Star Wars books, Batman: "Hush"[/i,]and a handful of X-Men issues 2. What was the first comic you ever bought? not sure, it could have been GIJoe, Transformers, X-Men, or Mavel Tales 3. What comic titles have you followed the most loyally, never missing an issue over the course of several years? Marvel Tales (unsure of issue #'s) Uncanny X-Men (#205- ??/ X-Men (#1- ??) GIJoe (#23 -7?) 4. What's your most cherished comic? Star Wars #1 Spiderman #300 7. What's the single stupidest comic you've ever spent money on (unless there's more than one)? I was just starting out, and I was trading/buying for a GIJoe #4: there weere some "Richie Rich" type books that were part of the deal; I wasn't interested and just took the GIJoe :-? 8. What's the single best comic investment you ever made? bside a bargain back issue deal I've fogotten about, probably something like ASM $299-300 that I paid cover for. 9. Favorite comic series of all time? Uncanny X-Men/ X-men (esp Jim Lee issues) McFarlane Spiderman/Spawn
  2. Anyone interested in the 'behind the scenes' of Star Wars should check this out. The Characters of the Mos Eisley cantina Patrons of the Outlander Club (this seems to be all there is for AOTC )
  3. I believe you can see him again when the squad is escorted out of the bunker, look for a biker scout 'unmasked' surrounded by a squad of Imperials (I think that was also one of the options in one of Hasbro's "Fan's Choice" Polls) that sequence and the 'Rancor Pit' have some the most obvious matte work (imo) why weren't they 'corrected' in the SE? I laugh everytime I see that now. Wicket also appears to...'hit her pretty close to the mark' (when he first encounters her)
  4. We all have our favorite series, but, what are your favorite episodes? What episodes are so funny/powerful you can watch them over and over? The first one I think of is an episode of All in the Family where a counterfeit bill is passed off which leads to a scene where Mike (Rob Reiner) goes through a series of exchanges to see who is owed what. (Archie watches as his portion dwindles to nothing) at the end, he says it should start over; George (Jefferson) says 'it started when you gave me this phony 20' (I know the humor doesn't translate well, but, I love to watch that sequence  )
  5. Does this help? http://www.starcade.tv/Starcade/starframe.htm it may not have been on that long (one season? 1983?)
  6. Ben:"The Jundland Wastes are not to be traveled lightly. Tell me, young Luke, what brings you out this far?"
  7. Luke: "Steady, Dack. Attack pattern delta. Go now!"
  8. me again, I vaguely remember the show (it used 'made up' games if I remember :-? ) I had to do a search to find the name: "Nickelodeon Arcade" (original huh? ) Do you remember the show a few years earlier that used actual arcade machine? "Starcade"? (TBS Superstaion used to show it in the afternoon) That's how I learned about alot of the games.
  9. here's what I found in some Wizard back isues: Professor Xavier and the X-Men (1995- 1997) 18 issues (I believe this title was a new look at the early days of the X-men) X-Men: The Early Years (1994- 1995) reprints 17 issues
  10. "Fun House" (I had to goto IMDB to find the name: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0247869 Double Dare 'Lights, Camera,...Action' (behind the scenes on movies, hosted by Leonard Nimoy) You can't do that on Television Live Wire What Will They Think of Next(?) (w/ Roy Campenella) Mr. Wizard's World Kids Writes Out Of Control Dangermouse/Count Duckula/Banana man Tomorrow People Pinwheel/Today's Special/ Dusty's Treehouse I remember when Nickelodeon would go off the air around 6-7pm and switch over to A&E (at least on our cable system). That was back when Nick had a theme song: "Put another nickel in, in the Nickelodeon..."
  11. "Clone Wars" is a secondary line/subset (like "Shadows of the Empire")supported by comicbook, novels and eventually a series of animated shorts that is supposed to cover the time period between AOTC and E3. There are 'new' versions of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, a new type of Clonetrooper, a few new characters (see: "Durge" thread). It also incudes some vehicles (some new, some repaints) and some Clonetooper/Droid/jedi knight figure multipaks (3 'limited articulation" figs for about $9). thanks. Limited articulation, that doesn't sound too good. I loved the Expanded Universe and Shadows of the Empire figures.. I wish they could be more like those. here is the jedi knight 3 pack I'm not 100% sure on the articulation. People who looked at the Toy Fair (actually, Hasbro held their own event around the time of Toy Fair) display said the legs (of the jedi knight figure) appeared to be one piece. With single figs being $4-5, I guess it shouldn't be a surprise. here's an overview of "Clone wars"
