  1. I still don't understand why Octane's whole shield/tanker drum wasn't chromed... (beyond, of course, cost...)
  2. That has to be the best artwork I have seen of the Mighty Muggs line, simply put. Please do not hesitate to share any more art with us!
  3. It's a given that Hasbro will have a LOT of non-canon repaints of the Animated line, but a few I'd actually like to see are: - Blackarachnia, in yellow and black, homaging her original Beast Wars counterpart. - A two-pack of Prowl (with faceplate) and Jazz, in white and black with red accents, and black with gold flames, respectively, as sort of a ninja team. And replace Prowl's stoplight with a simple Energon katana. - The expected Shadow Soundwave, aka Soundblaster.
  4. Very cool as well. How did you make the Goomba body, and do you have a site for the rest of your customs? [Never mind on that second part, just noticed the URL on the backdrop.]
  5. Exceptionally cool, but I'm more seeing Bionicle characters... What happened to the SMB theme from the topic title?
  6. I admit I had a hard time at first getting the propellers to fit together, but it seems to work well for me in truck mode. One thing I have been trying is attaching the guns in the front pegs, sticking up as smokestacks, but that of course leaves his arms pretty well exposed in back...
  7. Just found Tex Dinoco with Dinoco McQueen, and Mario Andretti... my brother picked up a mini-helicopter, Andretti, and Tex for a family friend. Haven't yet found Bob Cutlass, though, although I see for obvious reasons he's in a Movie Moments two pack with Darryl Cartrip. Which makes me wonder: Some Movie Moments toys are probably never going to be sold individually: Luigi and Guido are too small, Red is probably too big, the Rusteez brothers mostly make sense together, and Mia and Tia - enough said there. Does anyone know if Strip Weathers' (most commonly referred to as "King") wife will be available as a single pack?
  8. I did see that not only Rusty and Dusty are on the shelves now (or at least available in some capacity), but Fred as well... glad to see the Car Talk guys joining Sarah Vowell as an NPR personality represented by a toy from a Disney/Pixar movie. Hoping to find those figures... I'm surprised Mattel hasn't come up with an alternate Sarge to replace the recalled one; I guess either A, they're worried about use of the same paint or the perception of reuse, or B, unlike say Fillmore, there really wasn't a suitable alternate version of Sarge in the movie.
  9. I remember the Toy Fair photos of all the prototype G1 and movie Attackix game figures, along with the listings for the Wave 2 Transformers line... well, months later, I have yet to see any new packs, and the old ones are on the clearance shelves. Is the line dead, or am I just being impatient?...
  10. I'd have to say the McDonald's Armada Smokescreen... or is that too easy?
  11. Absolutely correct, Batman27... the missing one of the original six 1984 minibots. If you want to start a new game, feel free, although I suspect this has already worn out its welcome...
  12. Highlight the spoiler and think about what it says...
  13. You're correct on the names indicated by the images... However, I stated this represents ONE Transformer...
  14. I'll try this one: Does his name start with a vowel or a consonant?
  15. This topic is obviously inspired by Starscream49's topic; I didn't want to post in his topic to break up the flow of his challenge, so here's my own take on it, using images. This should be almost insultingly easy: just identify what one Transformer I'm thinking of, based on the below images:
  16. After seeing the Super Hero Squad Galactus and Sentinel packs, I wonder: Would you rather see larger Robot Heroes figures, such as a proper sized Unicron or perhaps Blackout, not to mention Omega Supreme and perhaps even combiner giants such as Devastator; or would you rather see alt-mode versions of the characters (such as, of course, a "chunky" version of either Optimus Prime's truck mode, or a silver Pontiac Solstice (as close as they can get if they can't use the license in this context) or... come to think of it, I guess G1 Megatron and Shockwave's alt modes are right out)? I can see the latter packaged with either the character's robot mode, or with a different character, since I'm not sure if having just alt modes in the pack would work... Frankly, the larger Robot Heroes idea seems more plausible right now.
  17. So, it's Alt. Skids meets Silverhawks?
  18. I like the G1 look of "First Strike" Voyager Prime... hopefully I'll see the regular version soon. That, 08 Bumblebee, Arcee, Dropkick, and Towline WERE going to be all I wanted out of the line (not counting the new molds in the Real Gear Robots), but some of the new figures look pretty darn good. (I do have to wonder about Evac - will his mini-Scorponok be repainted as Pincer?) And yes, once you get past the chunkiness of the vehicle modes, the animated series stuff looks awesome... very on-model, very full of personality. Bumblebee I really like... The Voyager Prime looks much better than the Deluxe figure... I wonder what's with Bulkhead's spring weapon thing.
  19. Spoilers for those not having seen the link above: Pretty interesting overall. Let's hope it doesn't suddenly start jumping all around Cartoon Network's schedule in mid-series, and ending up airing at 5 in the morning...
  20. Interesting designs, really... My only question is about the beast-looking character below what appears to be Megatron. I'm half tempted to guess Ravage, but the drone eye head design leaves me confused at best.
  21. How come nobody's brought up the obvious counterpart to Astrotrain, Blitzwing? I didn't think Classics Astrotrain was *that* bad...
  22. I'm wondering if it would be possible to put a sticker (well, actually two stickers, of course) over Laserbeak/Booster X10's window to give a playlist display? I imagine it in light blue (or maybe pale yellow), with those faked reflection lines over it, with text similar to this: || July 4, 2007 ____________ What I've Done Doomsday Clock This Moment Before It's Too Late Pretty Handsome Awkward (This should appear as a screen similar to that of the iPod, but different enough to avoid being a direct rip-off. For one thing, although I clearly can't reproduce it in ASCII format, I see, on the right side of the date, a small circle of radiating lines surrounding a tiny movie Decepticon logo.) I'd probably try it myself, using Avery inkjet full-sheet label paper (which peels off into stickers), but this is definitely not waterproof paper. If worst comes to worst comes to worst, it could probably be reprinted and replaced.
