  1. i think g1 collectors who are buying reissues are also getting the new toys. as for the cartoon, just because i don't watch it, doesn't mean it's not well recieved by kids today, they are the target anyways.
  2. i agree with the old time combiners. it would be amazing to have them released again. , i'm really hoping to see some original gestaults, especially after the recent landcross reissue, which seems pretty close.
  3. doesn't hurt to get local sponsorship.
  4. they both have their strong suits. for a show acurate prime, mp the one. but for toy simplicity and a trailer, g1 it. i don't even really consider mp prime a toy.
  5. do you need hasbro's permission. not certain about that sort of thing. if it works out, you could always contact dreamwave for a special cover, can't see them saying no to that.
  6. check ebay to see if anyone has an early release. i doubt it though since it isn't due for 2 months.
  7. spike is about 2 inches tall, so approximately half the size of the others and i believe he's the only human in the series.
  8. eclipse1

just build a sealed case and put everything in there. if you didn't take it out, it's still good.
  9. still looking for wave 5, really hard since they don't sell them here in canada. too bad distribution of these things are so bad, could have been real nice to collect.
  10. your friend has the right to do whatever he wants with it. it would have been a nice gesture to give it to a collector, but the other guy shouldn't have demanded it. if the other collector needed one badly, maybe your friend could have made a deal for it instead of going to ebay. either way, he was not obligated to give anything away, especially when he needed the money.
  11. you pretty much beat me to that statement. forums are suppose to be fun for everyone to share their thoughts. not to flame each other on multiple topics of the same thread. mistakes do happen. (dont discriminate...educate!!) i've made that mistake as well. sometimes people post the same topics with different titles in which the search function cannot find. it is okay to point out that the same topic is being posted but some people just act like @$$es and their comments are insulting to other people on this issue. oh yea....for the newbie/vet issue. i could care less who's been here the longest or who's just been here. we are all transfans and we should respect everyone's opinions. to me, everyone is equal. once you post that first topic in this forum, you are entitled to the same priviledges as everyone else besides the moderators. we should be more courteous in responding and answering questions for the people who are just getting into transformers instead of directing them to search previous topics. i'm sure each and everone of you who has a question would sure want them answered. adc has expanded greatly over the years and it would be better if adc increases in members in the future. agreed
  12. that's a pretty unrealistic looking gun mode. if that really was the case, these people must be ##$%$#ed.
  13. hard to believe they don't take more time ensuring things are correct before it's released. with some of the more difficult transformers, it would be sad if the instructions were all wrong.
  14. i'd certainly try. especially the ones you really liked.
  15. looks like it might come out before the march 15 release date. better start checking soon.
  16. why even start it at a buck, when clearly it's nowhere near that price. he probably took off the smokestacks and put them on the new reissues.
  17. i bought it in the store, but didn't get a poster. maybe it's only for mail orders, or if you order more than one.
  18. why not make a custom display case? it would probably look better instead of paying for a box.
  19. maybe they'll tell you the exact colour at transformers.com.
  20. if they can fit 6 minibots in a collection, i'm sure they can do it with combiners. the box would be just a little bigger.
  21. the legs do look odd. i'm just looking to get the ones i used to have and then anything else is a bonus. predaking would be a huge bonus.
  22. personally, i'd love to see superion and defensor reissued. they should do one set of combiners soon, just to show it's possible.
  23. personally, i don't think i can really play with a toy the same way a kid would. i'll transform it once or twice and pose it. for me, it's more about the nostalgia. understanding that, there are a lot of figures i keep misb. takaras look pretty good in the box too.
  24. i like g1 because of naostalgic purposes. the toys were great for it's time and the cartoon was great too. can't imagine one without the other. as for the evolution of figures, beast are alright and rid was a definite evoluton. armada and energon probably aren't as sophisticated as rid, but both have their pros and cons. cartoon wise, the art has improved, but other than that, the story lines have seriously gone downhill. it doesn't have the same edge or effect. seems like they're going for pokemon cutesy stories that are overly corny. people love g1 not just for the toys, but also for the characters that are associated with them. they collect g1 figures for that very reason, even if the toy wasn't that desireable. today, the toys are fine, but i wouldn't buy a figure for the character. so if the toy wasn't good, it's not going to sell because the cartoon isn't strong enough to support a bad figure.
