DC Multiverse Outsells Marvel Legends In 2021?!?
Stikman replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I personally added a lot more Marvel Legends to my collection. In 2021 I added 30 new Marvel Legends compared to just 7 DC Multiverse figures. -
Other than the crazy capes, I don't really see his Batman as all that distinctive. He wasn't really "THE Todd McFarlane" at that point. It looked a lot like standard John Byrne type artwork.... just with crazy capes sometimes. If he does make one, I hope it's way down the line after he's put out other much needed characters.

I feel like the dudes whining about how the new figures look probably sound a lot like the old school GI Joe fans back in 1982 when Hasbro debuted the 3.75 inch Joes. LOL

Why Did The Harley Quinn Birds Of Prey Movie Bomb At The Box Office?
Stikman replied to JayC's topic in Entertainment News
I personally have no interest in this movie. If they'd made a movie where the Birds of Prey actually hunted Harley and Poison Ivy, I'd be far more interested.- 15 replies

Mattel's DC Multiverse 6" Wave 11 Goes Up For Pre-Order
Stikman replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I'd be tempted to get Nightwing and Wally West but I feel like McFarlane will most like come out with better versions. I think I'll play the waiting game. -
DC Comics Says Goodbye Mattel And Hello McFarlane Toys
Stikman replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
McFarlane strikes me as a company that will start strong but fade relatively quickly. Hoping for the best though.- 58 replies

If this movie is done correctly, it could really up the bar for effects movies in a way not done since the first Jurassic Park movie. This could be really really good.

They ought to forget Superman for a while. They should let the Smallville kid do that show for a few more years and then end the show and have him play Superman in a new movie franchise. They should focus on making a great Green Lantern movie. Ah phooey, I never get my way. @grumpy@

DCD might just get Nightwing just right. I mean, it's not that elaborate a design. Almost completely black. And the face will be designed by Jim Lee. Nightwing might be the best of the lot. That's what I'm banking on. We've got quite a wait to find out though.

There's no point in arguing G1 Vs BW. I think a lot of the "Beast Wars Sucks!" people are merely saying that to get a rise out of the BW fans. It's the same kind of mentality that sends some people into Star Trek forums and say "Picard Sucks!!". Just blow it off and enjoy your Primal. I'm pretty sure my dog doesn't like Beast Wars but arguing with him would get me just about as far as arguing with the "Beast Wars Sucks!" people.

Hey JayC..If you thought the ending of Season 1 was a cool cliffhanger, season 2's ending will blow your mind! The best is yet to come!

I was watching that episode on dvd today. It made me go out and buy Unicron! He's one cool toy.
-
TM Optimus Primal is one of my favorite Tranformers toys of all time. Rampage is really cool too. And I loved how both toys looked exactly like they did on the show.

Saying that a figure based on Lee's work that Lee himself worked on is a "misrepresentation" makes little sense to me.
-
Wave 2 is supposed to have Nightwing and Robin so I'm happy. It just stinks to have to wait so long.
-
Man, it's going to feel like an eternity waiting for Nightwing and Robin figures that are actually good. I can already seem my Mattel versions getting pushed to the back of the toy shelf.
-
Wasn't the Cyborg Superman released a few weeks ago? Maybe even months ago? Or is there another one? I'm pretty sure I checked one out at a comicshop a while back.

I think they look very much like they're inspired by Lee's art. You do realize that since they're figures, they won't have Lee's trademark line shadowing on them right? I think they look great. Maybe Batman could be a tad darker..maybe the finished one will be though. Plus, I've heard that being that these are prototypes finished quickly to show at the convention, there will be some changes to the final products. I hear that Ivy will have more articulation. I just hope that wave two has Nightwing in it. Robin too. Mattels Robin is sad. No waist or elbow articulation is just pathetic.

South Florida has been great. I found two Zipline Batman figures last weekend at KB (I bought one) and I found another Zipline today at TRU. I've found Robin as well also at KB and today I found the Batman/Nightwing at Target. There were a bunch of Batman/Superman sets and just the one Batman/Nightwing set..I snapped it up quick. The only figure I haven't seen yet is Joker.

Every episode of Samurai Jack is an eyesore. And if that official pic is any indication, Clone Wars won't look any better. Let's hope the story rocks.
-
My local TRU had a bunch of Treebeards, Saurons and just about everyone else today. They must have just restocked. I like TTT a little better than Fellowship. Especially the beginning.
-
Isn't that just the prototype? I'm sure the actual figure will have plenty of articulation. After seeing the movie, I've got to have a Gollum figure. He stole every scene he was in!
-
I'll have to go with Marvel. With The Ultimates, Punisher, New Xmen and Ultimate Spiderman being as good as they are, I can't vote for anyone else. DC is a close second for me. JSA and Flash are some great comics too.

The eyes on my Yoda were drying out. I put some vasaline on them and they seem fine now. That was months ago. I think he's wicked cool. I never finished my jedi training though. Those saber moves are hard to master!
