  1. That's right! He had a DC Direct figure, I totally forgot. Maybe that's because it wasn't good enough, it looks pretty goofy. But thanks for reminding me.
  2. Hey everyone, hope it's cool to post this here. ToyBozo just put up a list (yes, a LIST) of some of the coolest "alternative" press characters that we'd like to see immortalized in plastic. Feel free to take a look and contribute anyone you'd like to see! Bozo List #1: Totally Rad Toys (That Could Be) Based On Small(er) Press Characters
  3. Just curious if anyone has been able to find the new Super Legends Green Ranger Deluxe (in the new packaging) at retail. All I ever see is the zords and the RPM figures. Also hoping if someone could tell me when the hell this Red Ranger figure was out?
  4. I ventured into Big Lots today (the one store that can rival Wal-Mart for skeezyness) and made a pretty cool find. They had some Indy toys marked down to $4.00, and I made some nice pickups of figures I never saw at "normal" retail. Has anyone else seen this in their local stores? Once in a while Big Lots has something like this, but usually it's all just junk knock off toys. I also put a link to my writeup of the experience/figures below! http://www.toybozo.com/2009/02/indiana-jon...fulness-of.html
  5. The private thread with "cost & shipping" only is a really good idea actually. At least going in there, you know you're not gonna get screwed. The only problem I would see is that there would be way more people looking to buy than are actually selling.
  6. I get your point, but there's still no reason to be so harsh about it.
  7. I agree that it's absurd that people charge that much, but you know what...people keep buying them. I think as guilty as scalpers and even people on the boards are of jacking up prices for no reason, collectors that are willing to pay this much are just as guilty. Those of us that find it acceptable to pay double, triple, or quadruple the price for a figure that just came out, need to suck it up and stop buying. At least this way, maybe some of these scalpers, or at least, people on TNI will discover that they are wasting their time and effort. Food for thought I suppose.
  8. I agree there... really crappy packaging, in both looks and quality. first off, it's stupid looking. 2nd, its incredibly flimsy. It will be really difficult to collect this stuff MOC. and 3rd, they don't stack well Not to mention Wolverine's got a killer wave hair do.
  9. That's some of the worst packaging I've ever seen.
  10. Is anyone else creeped out by Ame-Comi?
  11. Long Island/NYC still has nothing. I don't get it. When I saw nothing, I mean the furthest I've seen is Wave 3, in a closing KB and a Stop & Shop.
  12. So, we all know the DC Direct statue of Christopher Reeve as Superman is awesome. According to the 360 view on the DC Direct site, the cape doesn't have the yellow s-shield on it. Does this bother anyone else as much as it does me? Granted, I would probably hardly ever see it, but for as much accuracy as the statue has, why overlook this? Is it possible that it was done on purpose to decrease cost, or would it have looked bad (yellow/red bleed)? Just curious. I've also posted the following at my site regarding this statue: http://www.toybozo.com/2009/02/dc-directs-...r-reeve-as.html
  13. I agree. This line will go nowhere if I can't walk into a store and buy a damn figure.
