  1. you went too??? we didn't see ya did we? Those crazy Anti-Social people! And here I was trying to meet up with as many ADC people as possible! Met Clam, Super Megatron, and SKARAPZ! Those are the only ADC reps I saw... -Kevin
  2. Even though it was stamped on the box, it could still change. If it is Leatherneck, I hope it's version 1. I would've preferred Steam Roller, Hawk and one of the following; either: Mainframe Lifeline Clutch or Dodger Something that big and expensive ($69.99) should come with more than one figure. I'm not making any guarantees, but I think it said on the little stand that it would be out in November. -Kevin
  3. Violentfix, thanks for having the pics of these... The creator of these customs is actually really good. I don't think he had his Medi-Vipers out there, but eventually he said he would make the figures and sell them. -Kevin
  4. I thought the G.I.Joe Club was the one sponsored by Hasbro. This one convention and all that good stuff was sponsored by the G.I.Joe Collector's Club! Two different names, yo! -Kevin
  5. Well, that isn't a problem at all... I'm not saying it anywhere but on this thread yet, but I am working on getting one of the time shares down there. And if that works, I got room for people to crash! Now, if I have a girlfriend at the time, I won't be able to share a room... And if I do have a girlfriend, it's all SKARAPZ's fault for getting involved where he should have... -Kevin
  6. Well, I liked the HISS IIb, mainly because I had never had one before, and I thought it was a damn good item to have. Cobra Troop Carriers rock hardcore! My HISS IIb will beat your convention set! :-X -Kevin
  7. I honestly don't think they'll require them for the beginning. I never understood why they would need a receipt anyways? Anyone wanna shed some light on this? -Kevin The primary objective of the mail-ins is to get products sold during the slow toy selling times of the year. Offering these cool things to the fans is secondary, I think. Thank you very much 8S. That was more along the line of answer I was looking for. When times get slow, they offer these wonderful deals. When times are good they say "It's still going on."? -Kevin
  8. Which I have pictures of!!! And one of these days I'll get around to posting 'em. Just not sure which site I want to use to host this stuff... -Kevin
  9. I honestly don't think they'll require them for the beginning. I never understood why they would need a receipt anyways? Anyone wanna shed some light on this? -Kevin I will shed some light, think about it why a reciept when people give a lot of gifts, they dont give the actual receipt, how many receipts do most people keep, i mean honestly think about it, i am beyond sure u wont need em. Someone want me to slap him? He's sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME! And he decided to raise his post count instead of telling me. If you folks tell me to before the next three hours, I can slap him! MUAHAH! -Kevin
  10. I honestly don't think they'll require them for the beginning. I never understood why they would need a receipt anyways? Anyone wanna shed some light on this? -Kevin
  11. Well, you're my puppet! So, it's okay! And we definately won't forget that you already said you liked me! Neener neener neener!
  12. I have seen a few random episodes fo the DIC shows floating around. As far as I know, the entire series has never been released. Your best bet, as with everything these days, is Ebay. Someone might have copies for sale. Hopefully, they will get around to getting them out on DVD. Personally, I never hated the DIC shows at all. I think that people were upset because they were focusing on new characters, but that was the edict from Hasbro at the time. Also, it was much better than the mistake that would hav ebeen made by killing off Duke (in The Movie). I've heard this was a major point of contention between Hasbro and Sunbow. The DIC shows were decent and in my opinion have an undeserved reputation for being of poor quality. Well, my biggest problem was no Python Patrol in anywhere except for Operation: Dragonfire. Not to mention I only saw the DEF version once... And I haven't even seen any of the other stuff save Eco-Warriors. I really liked the Eco-warriors cartoon versions, because Cesspool ROCKED as a villian!
  13. Well, it's ALMOST better than the Terrordrome! "JvC for-eva!" But really now. We all know how it goes... Let's just give the guy a break for liking the new stuff, and not knowing how good the RAH line is/was? -Kevin
  14. Mmm... yummy... That's a good toy Tom. How much you want for that one? I need a new base for Destro! My Terrordrome's kinda over crowded. -Kevin
  15. For those who haven't heard yet, the Battle Point are going to actually be used to get mail in stuff. And assuming there's no limit on it, I won't have any Battle Points left after the first set, if I can do a cheap Troop Building pack! -Kevin P.S.- They said at the moment they did not require a reciept.
  16. I'll clarify that, NightCreeper. G.I. Joe, the original animated series was produced by Marvel and Sunbow from 1982 until about 1988. The last G.I. Joe thing that Sunbow did was G.I. Joe The Movie (which would have had theatrical release if not for the backlash of the TF movie). This is a full season after Arise, Serpentor, Arise. At that time, Hasbro decided to go in a different direction with the whole line and thus dropped Sunbow for the cartoon. The new company, that's DIC, did the Operation Dragonfire miniseries as well as two subsequent seasons (though their second was short). These are the shows that so many fans hate, though they're really no more silly than the Sunbow ones (animation quality did suffer a bit though). It is unclear whether or not Rhino has the rights to release any of the DIC shows or not. I would imagine not though since DIC still produces other shows I believe (as opposed to poor Sunbow, a practically defunct company). They may choose to release the discs on their own. But the full Sunbow run should definiteley come to DVD soon. The first discs performed rather well, and I assume they'll follow suit as they did with the Transformers discs. I'm looking forward to them. Would you happen to know of any place where I can get the DIC series? I know it wasn't as entertaining to some, but it still was G.I.Joe (like JvC is to RAH!) I already have all the Sunbow on tape (including the DIC Operation: Dragonfire), but can't seem to find the DIC series anywhere... -Kevin
  17. At the Convention they were giving out dog tags that said Seasons 1 & 2 were going to be released on DVD. The end. -Kevin
  18. Most of the dealers said they had to raise their prices, because of them shipping stuff out west to get to the con. I completely agree with them on that topic though... Being from here, I can almost never find a good prices 3 3/4" dealer here. The prices for the other stuff seemed fair, con exclusive wise. -Kevin
  19. SKARAPZ is full of good ideas!!! This was one damn fun convention though, and I hope we can all get together for next years con! -Kevin
  20. Other than the WIFTW forum, what did you folks get at the con, or from someone, at the con? I just wanted to brag, sorry. 15 Iron Grenadiers for myself! 1 Firefly 2-pack for myself! 2 Operation: Anaconda sets (both still unopened). 5 Hiss IIb's for when I finally decide to open put figures in them. 3 Cobra Rages minus mines. The worst part is, they will most likely not get played with for awhile, simply because of my lack of room to do so! -Kevin Sorry for anyone this bothers/offends, I just was still ecstatic over what I got!
  21. I think you got the wrong Admiral there! I am no Snackbar! I am a RAH lover! But also a JvC fan. I have yet to mix any of my RAH with my JvC, because I ain't opened any of my JvC yet. Of course I can use some of the JvC stuff (Vipers) for me terrordrome and what not. But now that we're being honest... I really like a few of my JvC figures. I don't have them here with me to examine them personally, since my entire closet is full at the moment of packages. I'll make sure to make some stuff up to share later. Time for me to get back to writing my three outlines for my test tomorrow. -Kevin
  22. Just got my cam hooked up, and almost all the pics we took kinda didn't turn out. Stupid cam! Stupid perma-flash! I guess I gotta convince my parents to throw down $400 to buy a new one for me to steal (It's good being young). Sorry, and I can post the pics if you folks want, but I'm not sure you'd even be able to see much. I got good shots of the Diorama only.. -Kevin
  23. Also found out something Tom might like... The B.A.T. APC isn't going to have that clear-ish plastic... It was just a mock up so they could have it there on time. -Kevin
  24. It's the new mold, a retooled RAH style Crimson Guard. The same as the three pack we saw, except with a larger silver symbol. The head is the JvC Faces... -Kevin And SKARAPZ is getting mad cause I slept through this and he's telling me it all... I vote we all say "Thanks Admiral Hunter" and "Boo SKARAPZ!!"
