  1. You might want to head over to Yojoe.com and read up on everything there. -Kevin
  2. Texas has toy shows (since members here post they'll be at them). I know that there's two "G.I.Joe"-toy shows each year in Sacramento (not sponsored by the GIJCC) and then the official G.I.Joe Convention which I attend annually. -Kevin
  3. Those darn scalpers! Not buying Joes anymore!!! Or, wait, nevermind. It was just too little product for so much demand. -Kevin
  4. Heh... This is what we should suggest to the GIJCC if they're not going to make these, Hasbro-style! -Kevin
  5. Personally, I don't like it. I think the colors are too strong together. I'd go into more, but I am typing this during a lecture. -Kevin
  6. I would very much like to see these. Not sure what "vac metal" is, but if it's whatever they used for the Destro v1 head, instead of Chrome, I'm all for it! -Kevin
  7. For some reason, I want most of the cast of the Rock to find a way into this movie... Except for them being so damn old now. -Kevin
  8. Where in the bay are you? I'd hate to have to hurt you for trying to steal my Joes! -Kevin
  9. "A few years ago" is the qualifier for "I don't have my doubles anymore" I'm guessing. -Kevin
  10. I really like it. I also really like the thread title... I don't think this title fits the Joe forum though. :-X -Kevin
  11. Definately the best way to do it... -Kevin
  12. Shark tat on Shipwreck, yellow Stalker, and not sure which'll be harder to find, color changing, or not-so-color-changing Zartan. I lack the first two, and the color changer. -Kevin
  13. where do you live at? New Port Richey, Florida! But Wheeljack didn't offer to pick up any variants for me. -Kevin
  14. Ahh, yes, been up since Monday actually. -Kevin
  15. i disagree, its ones I usually dont like. Anyways didnt take chazz long to bring in BK, wow gone for so long and keep up with a old school joke, thanks man lol Ahh then we have lost focus it is to honor there designs and characters and has been so since day one, there are our mascots like Golobulous and Raptor as well as good ol' Crystal Ball, and others..... I always saw it as a way to say "Yeah, this figure sucks the way it is. Even though it sucks, I'm glad I have it in my collection." #US1# -Kevin
  16. Well, my vote is also purchasable. Sadly, this year I slept, or it would have been the usual tie with vote-offs we had last year, or two years ago... The Coastal Defender would get my vote for vehicle, and Sneak Peek out of the listed figures if I didn't vote down PDD, or Deep Six version Anchor! (He really is just a nice sized anchor in that suit.) -Kevin
  17. My army usually finds inself in formation when out for people to see, but otherwise I make sure I have enough to either make it look like they're really attacking a Joe outpost, or enough to inhabit all the vehicles (my blue MCC holds a lot of my Techno-Vipers, as well as the Terrordrome) with my driver being the comic pack Cobra Soldier. :-P -Kevin
  18. Sounds like one of my former girlfriends... Make up always got messy around her eye holes too. @hmmm@ @hmmm@ @hmmm@ #US1# -Kevin
  19. I agree! And from a "save money" standpoint, technically, it's cheaper for them to have one employee work 12 hours than it is for two to work 14. The amount they have to pay per employee is higher than people realize. Now before you attack me, I don't AGREE with the policy, but if I was crunching numbers, I'd consider the 1-12:2-14-ratio if my workers DO put up with all that crap. Not as a business manager yet, but I am friends with one of the Divison heads for Target Pharmacies, and plan to try to use him as an in. Target could, in theory, overhaul their entire operation, and become the "employee-friendly"-employer that MIGHT cause a change in the entire retail system. Since there's no proof that it will be profitable for them at this point in time, don't expect much change. -Kevin
  20. Bah, bad joke I can't make. I will be nice to all you people who would be effected by this joke. -Kevin
  21. kev i thought you were on on this in 04'? I was. I've been at all the meetings except this years. I slept instead. -Kevin We should start grading the crappy figures! I think that's a great idea. Card and I will come up with a grading system / sticker to mount on a case. This is how it will work. The crappier your figures are, the worse grading you will get. Like, I have a Deep Six v1 that was left buried in the dirt and sand for 14 years. Discoloration, and paint chips, but no breakage. It would probably get about a -75. The more natural and childhood wear a figure has, the worse grade they'll get. If your crappy figure has been mangled by a dog, it could possibly get a grade of -80 to -85, depending on how much your dog chews it up. The only way to get a perfect crappy grade, -100, would be if your crappy figure was strapped to an M80, chewed by your dog, pooped out, buried for 15 years, and spooned with by a drunken CFB member. I think we have something here. Are you talking about your first Baroness toy? -Kevin

  23. Really? I was under the impression they were rarer than 1 out of 3... I'm irked because of course there are no more Wave 1 cases to order from EE, so my choices are to send the case back and get a refund (and eat the $18 or so shipping) or keep em. The only one I'm really worried about keeping is Flint, as it seems the others are appearing in assortments from Waves 2-5. But $60 for a crappy condition Flint seems a bit much... It still really seems to me that the Wave 1 box is too small... hoping for more feedback on that, and also hoping that waves 2+ have slightly bigger boxes to combat the problem. My Star Wars figures are rarely damaged from being shoehorned into the case. It's too bad you didn't post this yesterday. I just opened my Flint that was in good condition. If I find one, I'll buy it and let you know.. -Kevin
  24. I prefer the video version much more than looking at your actual pictures posted here. "Additiona" "l" "Cobra" "forces" might wanna look into that. That white Rolling Thunder is damn nice. Thanks for inspiring me to now do the same. I didn't see the Dreadnoks in that video btw. But I thought I saw some IGs. Now, about that Rolling Thunder, did you do it yourself? Who can I comission to do one for me if you didn't do it yourself? -Kevin
