  1. If this was opened and resealed don't you think he would have fixed the o-ring?
  2. I wasn't implying they cancel the 6" line, just that they also do a 3-3/4" line like the new 25th anniversary Joes, and without the gaming pieces that drive up the SHS figures price.
  3. I just figured that since Hasbro's specialty is 3-3/4" figures that they might want to go in that direction along with the regular size. For me its just a matter of space. I don't want to stop collecting anytime soon and I have no idea how many more years I have left of this, but I do know eventually I will run out of space. Its logical for the companies to make 3-3/4" figures so they keep us collecting. I am speaking from my stand point as a mutli-line collector. I am sure there's a market for smaller ML figures, especially with Joe and Star Wars collector. Plus smaller toys equals less oil consumption and we can agree that that's a positive thing.
  4. I guess so. This really worries me because I am "trying to" collect Gi Joe Moc, as well as loose. I have given this a lot of thought because its highly possible that after spending a lot of money they might not be worth as much in the future. Collecting vintage MOC Joes isn't like collecting vintage Star Wars toys. There are two main things that can go wrong exclusively with a MOC GI Joe. 1) Broken O-rings 2) Cracked Elbows and anywhere there's a metal part (I have some loose Joes that have cracks on the inside front torso piece where the screw screws into the plastic female part, though this is not visible) Of course there's also bubble lifting, but that applies to all figures in general.
  5. Your probably right since rubber deteriorates when exposed to oxygen in the air. The bubbles these figures come in don't protect against this, and neither do AFA casings. That's why you should rethink dishing out $2000+ for an AFA 90 Stormshadow. Will it still be worth the same when the o-ring breaks?
  6. Take a look at this Ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/GI-JOE-FIREFLY-1984-MO...1QQcmdZViewItem What would you pay for this figure and would you keep MOC?
  7. I know Toybiz had their Superhero Showdown figures, but I found those really crappy. I especially disliked the gaming concept. I have only collected Toybiz Marvel Legends X-Men figures and am thinking of selling them all. The thing is that I really like the sculpts based on the classic look and the only reason for wanting to sell them is that this collection is taking up to much space. They are all sealed right now. I collect many other toy lines that I favor more like GI Joes and Star Wars clone troopers, etc, and I really like the space saving 3-3/4"ness of them. If hasbro would make smaller renditions of these then it would save me some space because I would definitely open them. ...and by the way, 4" X-Men figure would go better, in terms of scale, with the Sentinel Toybiz made. So does anyone know about any rumors concerning this?
  8. Concerning the new 25th anniversary Destro, I hope Hasbro takes the desicion to chrome plate his head rather than just paint it silver so it would be more true to the v1 figure.
  9. I'm just happy they made this line 3-3/4" and not 6 or 8" like the ML line that was rumored a while back.
  10. That's why you use patience. I skipped all this Sigma Six crap, and my patience has been rewarded!! That's exactly what I did. Although it was tempting to fill my addiction for buying GI Joes I just couldn't spend my money on Sigma Six stuff. I just kept on telling myself that something special was coming. It was obvious this was coming, and many people predicted a line based on the original character look with contemporary figure design. Its a given that as long as there's a 3-3/4" Joe fanbase Hasbro will continue to try and profit off that niche. As long as we're here 3-3/4" Joes will be too.
  11. There actually starting to grow on me. At first I didn't like them so much because of the lack of o-rings, but I am already getting used to them? I guess its really the look and not the toy construction that makes a GI Joe figure. I think I will buy these now. I hope they are single packs and with the original card art. and I gotta get me a couple of those Cobra Soldiers!!
  12. After seeing the pic of Scarlett I am starting to dislike this line of toys. The sculpt details are wonderful, but I hate the style of articulation. They really are just becoming superhero showdown toys with marvel legends style articulation, which in my mind is overkill. I would have liked it more had they continued what they were doing at the end of the DTC line with injection molded articulation. Now I'm not sure whether or not I will buy these. What a disappointment!!
  13. Selling Lord of the Rings moc misb figures cheap on E-Bay. 99 cents Here is one link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
  14. I declare WAR on the Transformers Forum!!!! @grumpy@
