  1. I really liked the Dr. Mindbender from VvV, the BATs, Barrel Roll, Bombstrike, Sand Vipers, Tele-Vipers, IGs, Torpedo, and most of the DTC stuff. As far as vehicles, The Night Attack Chopper and Patriot Grizzly are heard to beat, despite the sound attack crap. And no one can deny the awesomeness of the RHINO or the ROCC from the DTC era. What we got out of JvC, Spy Troops, VvV, and DTC was an evolution of the brand, new takes on old characters. 25th style stuff, as great as it is, is simply taking what we knew as kids in the '80s and presenting it with modern sculpting and manufactoring techniques. What gets me excited about the stuff from the con is that it's a combination of both of these ideas. The characters are evolving, but I can still look at them and say 'oh, thats Recondo, or Beach Head, or Firefly'. They're modern updates using modern techniques, but still recognizable as classic characters.
  2. Yeah, I still need a best of pack too, but figured I'd pick these up while they were in stockrather than wait for everything to be in stock at once.
  3. I'm pretty sure the title says it all. Don't forget to use holiday25.
  4. Yeah, I picked it up today as well. I wasn't sure that I wanted one, but then I saw it on the shelf and decided to grab one. My target (in South Brunswick, NJ) only had 3 and two looked kinda beat up. And yeah, CC looks stupid minus the helmet.

And two empty hoslters...Seriously, Hasbro. I'm tired of figures not having accesories to fill their holsters/knife sheaths. I understand these are exclusives and costs need to be kept low, but all the other figs in those packs were fully kitted out. What the hell? The same can be said of the CLAW pilot, no knife. I'm pretty sure the Target exlcusive HISS driver had no knife too. Am I the only one bothered by this?
  6. Yeah, I'm probably gonna swap mine out. I have a couple of black HISS's's's's's, and it makes more sense that one of them would have rockets rather than the ONLY vehicle supporting my arctic team having only having four shots before it's out of commision. I do commend Hasbo for making this one different enought that collectors are going to want to buy it.
  7. Holy Crap! They look ridiculously good! I wish there was a better pic of Outback, but I'm super impressed with everything else! Especially that HISS! More exclemation points!!!!!!! !! !!!! !!!!! Why does a tank driver need a parachute?
  8. Bazooka is all over the place here. I only saw wave 1 Flint once, when I bought him. Come to think of it, I'm not sure that I have seen the Duke/Red Star pack at retail.
  9. I spotted my first BAT on the peg today! I've already scored a couple through trades and various online dealers, but I had to pick this one up just 'cause he was there . I also spotted the Firebat and SHARC ( at kmart of all places), though I passed on them because I have some on the way. Seeing the BAT got me to thinking, what (25th) joe merchandise have you never seen on an actual, brick and mortar store shelf? Personally, I've never seen a black head Destro, Snake eyes w/black Timber, or a yellow Stalker. I don't really pay attention to packaging variations, so I'm only talking about actual product.
  10. Yeah, apparently they're all gone (for now?). I've had that page bookmarked for weeks and I missed it .

    BATS in stock

The title pretty much says it all(only $7 a pop). The limit is 4, but they also have wave 10, the new vehicles, and variant wraith, though he is $25. Good Luck. goodstufftogo.net I've ordered from there several times in the past, they are quality.
  12. Yeah, I almost missed those panels too. They're in a really bad spot.
  13. Both of those sets are on TRU's site: Here
  14. I've been eyeing that jungle cutter as well, just not quite sure what I'd with it yet... I would have liked to use a darker blue, but all I had at home was this old can of krylon, so I went with it. I didn't paint too much else 'cause I wanted the bed to remain functional. Frankly, I'm afraid if I paint the wheel wells red, it'll look like a clown car with that bright blue.
  15. Saw this in Hasbos custom display from the con, figured I'd give it a try: Totally lost. It's just a lense flair, the paint is good, I swear! It's pretty easy to take apart, and only takes about 20 minutes to spray paint. The rest was just filling in soem details and placing stickers (cobrastickers.com, if you're wondering)

    Got My Rattler

The conquest arrived today. I haven't had time to open it yet, but I'll post some pics when I do.

    Got My Rattler

The landing gear seems pretty sturdy, but it's only been out of the box for 12 hours . Phoenix- Yeah, it does have a bit of a purple tone to it, and arah figs should fit pretty well, though I haven't tried yet.
  18. You're ridiculous. Awesome, but ridiculous. How long does each one take and where do you get your parts? I recognize some stuff but not all of it.

    Got My Rattler

Here's some more pics, including a couple of shots of the front landing gear. I never had an original, so I don't know if its a new tooling or just stronger plastic, but it seems pretty sturdy to me. The damaged panels are included, but I forgot to take pictures of them. They are easy to miss in the box, tucked under the plastic that supports the wings. Keep an eye out!

    Got My Rattler

Wild Weasel is a bit of a tight fit in the cockpit, I had to take the front part of the canopy off to get him in, but he does fit. I put an officer in the turret and he sits fine once you get his legs through the hole, though I doubt you could get any of the broader figures to fit in there, such as Snow Serpents or BATS. I'll add some pics later to show you how they fit.

    Got My Rattler

This came from UPS today. I ordered on July 21 and while I did get an email about a delay in shipping, it didn't say anything about November like some other guys are saying. It did ship seperately from the Conquest that I ordered, which should be here later this week. I took a few pics, but my battery ran out. I'll try to snap a few more after dinner when I put the stickers on.
  22. Mystery Science Theatre 3000 It was a show on comedy central where Joel and his robot pals, Tom-Servo and Crow, would watch old sci-fi movies and crack wise. Probably one of the best shows of the 90's. My dad and I watched it almost religiously.
  23. Hey man, I love 80's cartoons as much as anyone, but talking cats in space who drive tanks and fight an immortal mummy? The show is practically unwatchable, but it sure made tons of kids (including me) want those toys. snarf.
