  1. That's a really cool idea. That figure doesn't really fit in with my collection, but I imagine a lot of people would be interested in it. I'd like to see what other figures you guys come up with.
  2. OH MY DEAR GOD! I love that Gadget!
  3. That is so awesome. I'm amazed.
  4. 10 years of frustration will soon be over once I get a close-quarters hacksaw! I had no idea there was such a thing!

    MummRA!!!

Nice - the amount of time that must have taken is staggering.
  6. Great work - very good likeness! What head did you use?
  7. Where's the rest of the two-face custom? I'm dying to see how that turned out!
  8. I've been toying around with the idea of making something like this for the past couple of years now. What did you use for the handle? Did you build a wood frame and then pour the concrete in with the handle? It looks fantastic by the way. How much does it weigh?
  9. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/exclusives-marvel-universe-compound-hulk-figure?CD=96&ST=SO&PG=1 It is back in stock again.
  10. Anyone have any further information about this being available at HTS?
  11. Anyone know of any pre-orders or even case listings for the King Laufey, blue Loki, Ice Claw (frost giant), and the like? Here's a link that I found showing the images of some of the figures: Laufey-ice claw I haven't seen any cases on BBTS or Entertainment Earth with these guys yet.
  12. Any of you guys out there still have any of those cards that came with the Super Hero Showdown/Marvel Legends Showdown figures? I've been going through my pack-ins and see that I'm missing a few cards. They were made for the figure/card game by Upper Deck. You guys ever actually play the game? I only ever bought them for the figures, but I find I enjoy the cards as well.
  13. I am humbled both by your skill and attention to detail when making your custom works and also in the way you photograph and describe your projects. Over the past 10-11 years I've been kit-bashing and customizing intermittently. I think I could point to my best work and it would look amateurish compared to what you do. Thanks for sharing and being so comprehensive in doing so.
  14. Hi all, Anyone have a handy-dandy list or link to a list of all the new and upcoming Marvel Universe figures - comic packs, single release, 3-packs? Thanks!
  15. With the now three different Sentinel figures made by Hasbro - how do you all classify them? The Marvel Legends BAF, the SDCC Masterworks, and the main-line Masterworks versions? There was also that re-used mold in the X-Men Classics line that had almost no articulation (and IMO little play/display value).
  16. Fantastic! My hopes weren't that high when I saw the thread title, but the custom job knocked it out of the park!
  17. I detailed my attempt at dyeing figures here on my blog: http://basementtoys.blogspot.com/2009/07/dyeing-some-figures.html in there I link to another site with some additional information. My results were not favorable with painted figures. But all that's described in the blog entry I think.
  18. I have Cobra Commander on top, then the rest of high command (kind of like a board of directors) is made up of division head type positions. Destro - technology/arms development Baroness - intelligence Tomax/Xamot - chief financial officers/heads of crimson guard Cesspool - chief operations officer (administrative head) Dr. Knox - head of science/research (previously Dr. Venom (deceased), previously Dr. Mindbender (defected to Coil)) fan-fic character - head of naval operations (thought about Copperhead, but he's not a leader) Wild Weasel - head of air force [open] - head of ground forces (previously Major Bludd, but I have him left for Skull Squad) After that I've got various characters in charge of sub-groups, like Overkill in charge of BATs, Big Boa in charge of training, various viper commanders, and whatnot. Cobra (the enemy) are the basic infantry cannon fodder - guys recruited and sent out with a uniform and weapon without much training and experience. Officers are promising infantry selected for limited leadership of the basic grunts Vipers are the trained, stalwart troops. The various types of vipers are your specialists trained in particular areas of expertise. No BATs or other androids/robots are part of the structure as they are equipment There are several mercenaries or 3rd party types - ie Zartan, Dreadnoks, Slice, Dice, Night Creepers, Firefly - that are hired for particular purposes and may or may not be given temporary command of some troops Several of the different color-schemes on the basic viper denote particular roles. I've got the blue-gray/green V6 as the mainline battle vipers, the similar browner version V9 as the vehicle crew-men (ie gun operators), the red&blue V1 and V15 as the veteran troops, the black/purple v8 as supplementary night operation troopers, other red/blue V11 as garrison/terror drome guards
