  1. Major Bludd hass been released. Whether your Toys R Us has him in stock is another matter. "Major Tom" by David Bowie
  2. I don't think the 3 3/4 line is completely dead. I think we'll get a little bit here and a little bit there, while they focus their energy on the two Sigma 6 lines. Eventually, the Sigma 6 cartoon will be cancelled and the line will follow. Then they'll push the 3 3/4 back out full force untill they decide on a new concept to push 3 3/4 in the background again. Do any of you guys think since the 3 3/4 line is more military a more realistic that with the War In Iraq, Hasbro is pushing a more fantasy/sci fi/adventure version to the front? Just like what happend with the 12" Joes after Viet Nam?

    The Plague!

Isn't "Red Zone" a deodorant from Old Spice? From what I could read of the File Cards in the pics, I liked it. I also like the fact that Andrew and Brandon, two stand-up guys who are talanted true fans, got to write them. I've always been a fan of more individualized Cobras. Especially ones that worked their way up from the ranks. Real Cobras and not hired thugs. Good work, guys!
  4. Thanks for the response JayC! I still don't understand that frame of thinking. When I was a kid playing with Star wars, I always bought the versions of Princess Leia, and when I moved on to G.I.Joe, I always bought the female characters as well. I know us older collectors would buy a Scarlett, Jinx, and/or Baroness. A version of one of the female characters would HAVE to sell better than that S6 v2 Tunnel Rat!
  5. All the Sigma 6 figures look really good! I won't be buying any of the new versions of past characters like Duke, Spirit, or Tunnel Rat. I really don't want the Snow Board Snake-Eyes, but I want that Timber! The New figures of Zartan, Firefly, Grand Slam, and Lt. Stone look really good! I haven't made up my mind about Shipwreck yet. Looks like he has a gold tooth on the left side and his gun looks like a Super Soaker. The ability to put his knife in his mouth makes him look funny. I think it's funny that he comes with a monkey, because I know I saw a S6 custom Shipwreck with a monkey a while back! I think they're taking the "Pirates of The Carribean" theme a little too far. I still don't understand why we can't get a Scarlett. A new Scarelett would have to sell better than the 10th version of Duke.
  6. That would be Grand Slam! And it was said that we'll be getting a Shipwreck and a new Firefly!
  7. Well all we see is 2 6-packs. Steel Brigade vs. Plague Troopers 6-pack with: Joes 1) Red Zone - Luke Ellison (contest winner) - New sculpt head w/ VvV Gung-Ho body (thanks Xhairs) 2) Rook - New sculpt head w/ DTC Salvo body 3) Unknown - New sculpt head w/ DTC Salvo body Cobras - Plague Troopers 4) Guillotine - Leader w/ new sculpt head that looks like Gung-Ho w/ Cobra Coils Body 5) Gallows - New sculpt head w/ JvC v2 Snake-Eyes body (red & black) 6) Grim Skull - New sculpt head w/ JvC v2 Snake-Eyes body (yellow & black) File Cards by Brandon Jerwa & Andrew Swenson And a RAH sculpt Viper 6-pack.
  8. I totally agree! I'm actaually glad to see other fans saw some of the same things the same way I did. That's right! In A New Hope, Vader is right over the freakin' planet Obi-Wan was on and didn't sense a thing! I think even if he had sensed Obi-Wan and refused to go to the planet himself, he would have had his Stormtroopers look for Obi-Wan, and if they found him, call the coordinates of his house back to the Star Destryer and they'd blast it from orbit. Did Vader not wonder why Leia was going to Tatooine? I don't think Vader is all that bright. I think he got a little lava on the brain.lol That was my whole point. We all understood that Padme had to die, but from a broken heart?! Especially when she has children to raise?! That just puts a huge black mark on the character of Padme. I mean c'mon! I've been in love. I've had my heart broke. Sure I felt like I wanted to die, but if I had children, I think I could have sucked it up! Just think what a momma's boy Luke would have been if Padme had lived though! lol Good thing Owen toughened Luke up or he would have been too soft to become the Jedi he became! @loll@
  9. I say if a senator, a farmer, a smuggler, and a Wookie can casually stroll through the Death Star, a group of skilled Jedi could infiltrate the Emporer's palace. lol That's a good point. You would think that Vader would almost have the same obsession in extracting revenge on Obi-Wan that he did in finding Luke. Maybe he did and he just never could find him and finally gave up? That's a story I'd like to see. As Vader tracks down other Jedi and as he has them in a Force choke he askes, "Where is Obi-Wan Kenobi?" "I...don't...know," the Jedi gasps. "You LIE!" exclaims Vader. *Crack* Snap of the neck and the Jedi falls lifeless to the ground. I agree. Before the prequils, I just assume disappearing and becoming a spirit was what Jedi do. The whole midichlorian thing was not needed either. I think Lucas put that in so there would be something to count in order to say Anakin had more than Yoda, so the audiance would realize how powerful Anikan would become, as if we couldn't figure it out. Also before the prequils, I assumed that Jedi came from other Jedi. Luke and Leia came from Anakin. That's why I thought there were no more Jedis during the OT, because all had been killed and none were left to have more. Then we find out that Jedis aren't allowed to have families and Force ability is a random occurance due to midichlorians. That means during the OT there actually could have been hundreds of individuals with Force ability just waiting to be trained. Obi-Wan and Yoda acted like Luke and Leia were the only two left in the Galaxy with the ability to be trained in the Force. By the way, when Obi-Wan started training Luke aboard the Millinium Falcon in A New Hope, it didn't attract Vader's attention. Vader didn't sense anything until Obi-Wan was actually aboard the Death Star. So I say, Obi-Wan or Yoda could have started training Luke or Leia at a much younger age.
  10. That's the same impression I got, but do I think Obi-Wan thought Anakin would die and did die. On another note, in A New Hope Obi-Wan didn't seem too suprised that Vader was alive. I'd like to see how Obi-Wan found out Anakin lived and what he became. Maybe some pilot told him about Vader while he was having a drink at the Mos Eisly Cantina, but, I'd like to think that Obi-Wan had adventures off of Tatooine. I'm glad somebody else feels the same way I do about this part. If she would have died from injuries Anakin caused or complications during birth, it would have made more sense. I guess I'm just to cynical about love to beleive one can die from a broken heart. Ya think? Obi-Wan by A New Hope felt that there was no redemption for Vader and the only option was to destroy Vader. Why would he teach him this? I don't buy this one.
  11. Too much Force activity in one location would cause ripples in the Force and attract Vader's attention? I can buy that, but they knew one of the children would have to be trained sooner or later. Why wait so long?
  12. I have questions about Revenge of The Sith. 1) Did Obi-Wan think he had killed Anakin on Mustafar? The reason I ask is because I think that Yoda gave up too easily. If Anakin is dead, why wouldn't Yoda and Obi-Wan take on The Emporer together? Neither were going to get any younger. Why go into exile? Also, In A New Hope, Obi-Wan says that Vader helped The Emporer hunt down and murder the Jedi. I didn't see Vader hunt anybody down. That leads me to believe that more Jedi survived Order 66. I can understand regrouping, getting a plan together, and trying to contact the remaining Jedi. Then try and take out Palpatine. 2) Why did Yoda separate the twins. Why didn't Yoda and Obi-Wan take both children to Dagobah and train the heck outta them, and come back with two skilled young Jedi and start taking names? 3) When Padme was dying, the medical droid said physically, she was healthy. So she lost the will to live? I understand that finding out the person you love decided to be a child killing Sith Lord could screw up anybody's day, but throughout the prequils padme was shown to be a strong individual. Doesn't anybody think that giving birth and being responsible for her children's safety would be enough reason to live? 4) Yoda tells Obi-Wan that he has to LEARN to commune with Qui-Gon. Nobody taught Luke to commune with Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan just shows up. If Qui-Gon learned how to do it, why didn't his body disapear? Who taught Anakin how to do it? I just don't think the whole "Joining the Force and keeping your individuality" thing was explained properly.
  13. Just a point of interest that I didn't think about. Lucas said in the ESB commentary that Vader did indeed lose Force abilities due to the majority of him being robotic, and that's why the Emporer wanted to replace him with Luke, who could be more powerful than Vader. When the Emporer seduced Anakin, he didin't count on having him severely injured, rebuilt, and losing Force abilities. I guess Vader was still strong enough to kill the rest of the Jedi and after they were gone, it didn't matter until Luke showed up.
  14. I don't feel so bad posting it the last time now! @loll@ It's still funny everytime I see it though!
  15. I've seen him on the shelves at the Wal-Marts in my area. It looks like they've put out a lot of back stock, which is keeping the new stuff from being put out. I doubt the original Long Rang will be restocked, so if you can't find him in your area, I'd order from HasbroToyShop.com.
  16. Dude, you ain't got no sense! "Prom Night" Big Brawler made me laugh! What about "Morning After Prom Night" Big Brawler? @loll@
  17. I use Macromedia Dreamweaver, and am quite pleased with it.
  18. If you want to laugh your @$$ of, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO9zwhersfk
  19. It's not action sequences people are bored with. It's Tom Cruise people are bored with.
  20. Dude, open them up. C'mon. Ya know you want to. Just take them out of the package, attach their accessories, and put them in a cool pose. C'mon, man. Do it. All the cool kids are. You know you want to. It won't hurt. It'll make you feel real good, man. It's not addictive. I can quit at anytime...
  21. I wouldn't say it failed. It seems to be selling well in my area. At first I refused to buy Sigma 6. Mainly because I thought they had replaced 3 3/4" figures with them. Actually they did, but when 3 3/4" showed up at HTS, I decided to let my grudge against Sigma 6 go. I thought Snake-Eyes looked cool. I thought I would get just him. Well, if you get Snake-Eyes you have to get Storm Shadow. Then I got Duke. And then... I'm such a whore...
  22. I did notice one thing. We have a figure for all of the Joes in the cartoon except for Scarlett and Jinx which Hasbro says they have no imediate plans for, because they are female characters. Hi-Tech is on the way as well as Lt. Stone. We have the Cobras as well with Destro, Firefly, and Zartan on the way. The Baroness - see Scarlett & Jinx above. There are still Cobras that can be made that I haven't seen meantion of like Over-Kill, The Dreadnoks, and Cobra Trooper. What I'm getting at is, with all the main characters with a figure or one on the way, unless they introduce new characters, how far will the toy line go with just alternate versions of already released characters?
  23. For those who customize Sigma 6, do you plan on customizing the alternate versions of characters? For every alternate version of a character, I see another character. 1) Sea Ops Duke - paint the hair black and it's Torpedo (This has been done) 2) Jet Wing Duke - Paint the hair black and it's Barrell Roll. 3) Arctic Duke a) Paint the hair brown and it's Blizzard, or sculpt on a beard and paint it red and call it Snow Job or paint it black and call it Frostbite. c) Make the figure an African American and it's Iceberg. 4) Quad Duke - sculpt on a beard and it's Rock 'N' Roll 5) Sigma Strike Duke - This one I'm not sure of. i'll need a better look. 6) Crossbow Storm Shadow - Paint it red and call it Sei Tin 7) All those Snake-Eyes? I'm not sure about. Make'm a ninja army? 8) Desert Long Range - shave the sideburns down, cut the pony tail off, and call it Dusty. 9) Flame Thrower Heavy Duty - This one took me a minute, but paint the figure Caucasian and you have Oktober Guard member Dragonsky. What do you guys think? I said I wasn't going to buy any of the alternate versions, but I might just to customize.
  24. That was Dennis Haysbert. He played President David Palmer on 24.
  25. And the hat should be dark blue like the Air Cav. Looks good though!
