  1. I almost, ALMOST, bought the Battleship Kreo set that had the fighter jet resembling the Skystriker. That's how badly I'm salivating over these. What is most comforting is that the most expensive set is only $40. The prices on these are very reasonable. I looked at the prices of the Battleship sets to get an idea of the prices on these. Here are my predictions: Checkpoint Alpha: $10 Ninja Dojo: $13 Serpent Armor Strike: $18 Dragonfly: $15 Thunderwave: $21 Armored Assault: $26 Battle Platform: $40 These are only comparative guesses based on Wal-Marts prices on Battle
  2. And I thought I was addicted to Lego Minifigures! These look incredible! I wonder if several of these figures will be in the blind bags like the Transformers Kreons? If so, does anyone know if there is a decoder for Kreons like Lego Minifigures or the K'Nex Super Mario figures?
  3. I'm in the middle if a very busy week and will not have time to prepare my draft strategy if I know my draft position. I feel that I would be at a disadvantage if others are able to prepare and I am not. I vote AGAINST the generator.
  4. How are we doing with getting the last player?
  5. I snagged the movie Hulk yesterday myself. They did a shelf reset at one of the Walmarts here in the Charleston, WV area. I looked down the aisle and saw three full pegs of movie figures. I quickly ran over to check out the pegs. All they had were Thors Capt. America's and Iron mans. My heart sank. But then on a whim I walked around the back end of the aisle and on the rear end cap was the Hulk. Someone must have picked it up then set it back down out of place. I haven't looked this hard for one toy in years. I was beyond excited. My buddy found Hawkeye for me a few weeks back do now

    Marvel NOW!

This just in: http://www.usatoday.com/life/comics/story/2012-08-03/Marvel-NOW-relaunch-teaser-comics/56722806/1 Looks like most of the 9 titles are being teased for relaunch. So here I thought Thor and Hulk, the only 3 titles from the "cancelled list" that I read, will be going away for at least a little while. My whole comic book reading world was coming apart at the seams! In the end the only book I'm going to be missing is (Red) Hulk which is turning into Red She Hulk this fall. I have no desire to read about Betty Ross-Banner as an over-aggressive ripoff adjective less She-Hul
  7. IDK. I don't even understand how he got to be the guy who talks to Scott.
  8. I disagree. Killen and Dirt provide well thought out opinions from a more objective standpoint. Dan is one of those "sunshine and rainbows" guys. Very rarely did he have a negative opinion. This is especially true when he talked about Masters of the Universe. He loved just about everything. I was shocked when he gave a somewhat negative opinion of the Mighty Spector. I think he's so far up Neitlich's butt that he's afraid to say anything negative. His MOTUC reviews are the same way. They're always 95-100% positive.
  9. So what time is the draft now? I need to make sure that it doesn't interfere with my special needs.
  10. I wish they'd get a consistent cast of at least 3 people. I know they all have real jobs and everything but this show is better with an ensemble cast.
  11. Last year I signed up for an Amazing Spider-Man subscription. I got 36 issues for $50. Quite a deal considering that the cover price on Amazing Spidey is $36. The company who handled the subscriptions was absolutely horrible. They seemed to have one very uncaring, sarcastic girl doing customer service for them. All in all it hasn't been too bad. I moved recently and my subscription was transferred seamlessly. Other than 2 missing issues things went swimmingly. Today I got Amazing 689 in the mail and immediately realized a difference. The picture of Iron Man on the backer board was
  12. I haven't heard this week's episode yet. Is this about Dan leaving? Why listen I posted the video here There's no reason to watch Killen and Firt talk about toys when I can listen to it while I drive. I listened to it. Not even a full minute in and he already commented on it.
  13. I haven't heard this week's episode yet. Is this about Dan leaving?
  14. The price for an autograph is $55. I'm not buying the VIP package. I just want to get one thing signed and say that I met him. I've heard about how controlled it is and how they move you like cattle. The 2 hour wait doesn't sound too bad. Did you camp out before or just show up?
  15. @loll@ hope it works out for ya! just remember this type of stuff tends to go by quickly its normally not a stand & chit chat with these types of guys. I managed to see stan at emerald city it was just a few seconds but it was still cool @loll@ be sure to lmk how it all goes I met Ric Flair a couple of years ago and he signed my replica championship belt (winged eagle version like he held in the WWF in 92). When you met someone who is so far above and beyond everyone in his professon there's really no reason to stand and chit chat. There is nothing I could say to Ric that h
  16. I've got it locked down. I'm going to Columbus on September 29 to meet Stan. I've got a couple of months to figure out what I'm going to have him sign. I'm super psyched! Columbus is 3 hours closer than Baltimore. This all fell together nicely. Thank you Synch for posting that link!
  17. Whoa whoa whoa! Screw Baltimore! He's going to be in Columbus and that's closer. What's more, my wife and I are taking a vacation from work the week of Mid-Ohio con! And...AND! We were going to take a trip to Columbus that week. Thank you dude! It looks like my dream to meet Stan Lee just got new life!
  18. My birthday is the 22nd and my family typically does birthday celebrations the Sunday after the birthday. This day probably won't work for me unless you make it a little later. Say 6PM EST?
  19. I have 3 Marvel Select figures. Red Hulk and the matching Green Hulk and Juggernaut. I'd really like the Thanos and Watcher. Thanos is up for preorder at Big Bad Toy Store and I'm thinking about jumping on it. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get The Watcher.
  20. I'll get the red Deadpool, Sentry, and maybe the Protector. These are too expensive to buy more.

    Marvel NOW!

This just in - Marvel cancels 9 titles. Including: Captain America Invincible Iron Man Fantastic Four FF Mighty Thor Incredible Hulk Uncanny X-Men New Mutants X-Men Legacy I think cancelled should be in quotations. There's no way they'll stay cancelled. I expect a relaunch. I spend too much on comics as it is and with Uncanny Avengers starting I could really stand to replace a title. Thor has been lacking anyway. Incredible Hulk is entertaining though. Those are the only 2 from that list that I read. Thoughts?
  22. I like the 25th anniversary updates of the first 3 CC figures. Helmet with faceplate, hooded, and battle armor. I've always loved the Battle Armor CC, but the 25th Anniversary update went well above and beyond expectations. When I was a kid I always pretended that his armor made him super strong, but his backpack was his weakness. In my mind it was a power source/jet pack. If the Joes disabled it then CC would fall down and be unable to move. I have a few extra 25th figures that came in comic packs or other multi-packs that I don't really need. If anyone is missing a figure or just t
  23. You know guys, this is the 10th season for our league. It's the only league I play in every year. Even though I haven't been around the boards much over the past several years I still look forward to this. I lived in an area without high speed internet up until about a couple of months ago, so I hope to be a regular poster again. The draft time is fine with me. If you need to change it I won't mind, as long as it's after 6PM EST on any day but Thursday. My daughter has dance class that day. If it's on a Friday it will have to be a little later than 6. 8 would be the earliest probabl
  24. I hope I get to see him too. Right now we're working on closing on our house, which will probably happen around the end of August. We can't spend the money we have in savings until that is over. Then we have to buy a new TV. So I'm hoping it all works out quickly enough so I get to go. Does he normally hit the same Cons ever year? I know he was at HeroesCon in Charlotte and Pittsburgh's con. Both of those are reasonable drives for me. Although I'd hate to have to go to Pittsburgh (see the pic in my signature), I'd go there to meet Stan. Other cities nearby are Cincinnati, Cleveland
  25. I'd like to take my 2011 SDCC Marvel Legend Thor in the sweet hammer packaging to have him sign but surely it would be banged up from the con by the time I'm done.
