  1. Take that, Electro16! Love the new packs. Glad the X-Men is almost all new. Only Wolverine seems to be retooled. And I'm so happy they're releasing the second Sentinel from the wallpaper.
  2. Yeah not really, as you're getting a roughly 12" (+ Tail) BAF figure spread out across 12 figures.
  3. Yeah, how dare Hasbro do Movie figures in Marvel Legends. There's no precedence for it! Oh wait... Daredevil from ML3, oh and Blade from ML5, and Punisher from ML6. You realize you could always trade for the BAF part on the boards, right? Instead of buying a figure you don't want for the BAF piece. After all, I'm sure you're not the only person who buys figures they don't want for the BAF pieces. Not everyone collects every figure. I had to buy several figures I didn't want for every BAF I wanted.
  4. Flight stands wern't included in all the Toy Biz figures either. I for one am glad that figures no longer have a large hole in their backs. Comics were going away anyway, Jesse Falcon already said that numerous times even before the license went to Hasbro. As for the large scale BAFs, those have been gone since Onslaught. Both Onslaught and Mojo are even severly under-scale. At least with Hasbro's BAF they're still in scale with the regular figure line. But then I guess the rose-colored glasses for the Toy Biz days cloud most people's vision for what they're getting now. It's the websites that pick the questions. Hasbro has nothing to do with that. They just answer what is sent to them. So it's pretty lame to blame them. But no big surprise given the mentality of most Toy Biz fanboys. Hasbro already answered a couple of those. Boxsets will return in '08. No plan for more 2-Packs at the moment but it's not out of the question. As for Flight Bases, I hope they don't return. The bases themselves were fragile, and I hate the holes. What do you want BAF figures out of scale? A massive out of scale figure, just for the sake of doing one? Both Toy Biz and DCUC aren't making Sentinel sized BAFs. It's just not possible to do so now. With the cost of plastic and the possible choices for larger figures with name recognition are limited, what you're getting is a larger bonus figure for collecting the whole wave. One that wouldn't fit on a card well, or wouldn't sell well otherwise. Annihilus, Blob, Brood Queen, Ronan, Holocaust.
  5. You can definatly call shenanigans on at least some of the information in the thread. Super Hero Squad is continuing in 2008. Question 5: What can we expect to see at retail by the end of the year? 5) For 2007, we showed just about everything at San Diego Comic-Con and almost everything new will have hit shelves by now. If you mean for 2008 - we're not ready to tip our hand just yet…but you can plan on seeing lots of new 6" Legends product with really cool BAF's, plenty of Iron Man and Hulk, Spider-Man Animated, all new Mighty Muggs and of course the Super Hero Squad!
  6. It wasn't really an Astonishing X-Men boxset. It just had AXM Cyclops and Shadowcat. It should be out soon, from the last we heard. It's the 2nd Collector's Pack.
  7. What can I say, they're fun. I've held off on the Star Wars ones, even though I've long been tempted. But once I saw the Marvel ones, I was hooked. And like Boywithagun said... we already have a bunch of characters and teams filled out which took years to get in the main Marvel Legends line. Some that we're still waiting on. This year between Super Hero Squad and the Spider-Man Super Hero Squad we got over 100 figures. And from the Wal-Mart lists there's even more to come.

    SPIRAL!

Richochet Rita would require an entirely new sculpt. So not likely to happen.

    SPIRAL!

No. Longshot has four fingers (3 + Thumb) because he was genetically engineered. Spiral was a human being, Ricochet Rita who was modified in Mojoworld to her current appearance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_%28comics%29

    SPIRAL!

No idea on the BAF, but the rest of the wave is supposed to be... U.S. AGENT 65356931890 UNION JACK 65356931892 BLACK SUITED SPIDER-MAN 65356931891 SILVER SAVAGE 65356931893 ADAM WARLOCK 65356931894 SPIRAL 65356931895
  11. Thank you for the news. I was worried there was no point buying ML4 for Holocaust. Now there's at least 2 figures in the Series that I want.
  12. Hey i forgot to mention that, thanks for the question. That series will come to an end as well. I am guessing its to make room for the new 3 3/4 inch line. That I'm going to hope you're wrong about. I don't see them ending SHS, just to launch a 3 3/4" line. Especially when they said they had plans for it next year. Maybe they just didn't have any new info? SHS are cool little figs, but i don't collect them. Hope they continue for those who do. Frankly, I can't wait for the 3 3/4 inch Figures though. (hope they put out polaris)(in 6" form, too) Since they just launched the Superhero Squad Website... I doubt it's going away. Not when they have SHS Star Wars, Transformers, Indiana Jones, also continuing.

  14. Cool info. Anything on Superhero Squad?

  16. What likely happened was that TRU passed on the exclusive at the last moment. Since it was already ready, Hasbro just offered it to the other retail chains. Some Wal-Mart's are covering the 'Toys R Us Exclusive' sticker with a Wal-Mart label. Some are just leaving it as is.
  17. There's several variations of characters as well as new characters shown on Hasbro's SHS website that haven't been released as of yet. The Comic Doc Ock coming. Also on that site is a comic Black Costume Spidey, a new Hulk (tattered shirt/shorts), and Spider-Woman (red/yellow). All figures that showed up on Wal-Mart computer systems but haven't been released yet. There's also a Classic Iron Man and Fin Fang Foom. Which suggests we'll get a FFF and Classic Iron Man next year. Here's a relist of the figures from the Wal-Mart computer that we've not seen yet. Ben Reilly / Spider-Man Black Spider-Man/ Doc Ock Captain America / Cable Daredevil / Spider-Man Deadpool / Punisher Ghost Rider / Motorcycle Hulk / Spider-Woman New Thor / Ares Rhino / Scorpion Sandman / Goblin Spider-Man / Hobgoblin Spider-Man / Sandman Spider-Man / Venom Wolverine / Psylocke Wolverine / The H (Either The Hulk or The Hood)
  18. Sorry, Wolverine isn't opening until May of 2009. Next year is Iron Man and Incredible Hulk. However there is the Wolverine and the X-Men Animated Series which may debut next year. But given Marvel's non-answer to the question if they were doing figures, they're likely getting a dedicated line.
  19. As others have said.... are you really that clueless? 1. You're comparing 9 months of 2007 to 12 months of 2006. 2. Marvel was producing everything themselves last year. So of course the profits were higher. 3. Since they were losing the license, in a last minute cash grab they shipped out tons of product in 2006. 3. Notice the huge jump in licensing revenue for this year. That's partially Hasbro's fees. 4. Hasbro has not only Marvel Legends, but Icons, and the wildly successful Superhero Squad. In the end, your so-called facts are inaccurate at best, and twisted to support your arguement at worst.
  20. Actually, they're different in more than just color. Look at the heads and the upper bodies. The head is a new sculpt, and the chest has a new piece with the V-Beam area with shoulder armor. It seems to have been simply slipped over the current body upper body, with the head holding it in place. Wolverine w/ Sentinel: http://hasbro.com/common/images/products/7...08d_main400.jpg New Sentinel: http://hasbro.com/common/downloads/wallpap...quad783_800.jpg Hopefully they re-release the Sentinel like this, as it's a comic accurate variant to diversify the Sentinel armies.
  21. Aye, I'm the NewsRat, Splinter from the Technodrome. I really need to apply for a name change here. Since Splinter has sort of become my board moniker over JJB.
  22. WTF!? The body he comes with doesn't match -any- of his cartoon appearances. And the head looks terrible. So no hope for a headswap with a Utrom Exoskeleton. It looks more like a psychotic Krang's bubblewalker. Seriously, I'm starting to lose major faith in the line. It started so strong too, and now it's starting to stumble. I can't really say much more, the pictures speak for themselves. Playmates, you wound me. At least Usagi is cool.
  23. The Lair playset has been enhanced for Autumn ?04 with a brand new sewer- trap accessory with Turtle Ooze and exclusive action figure! http://www.banned/Article10952.html
  24. Design sketches for the Upcoming Scuba Gear Turtles have been posted over at banned. I'd have to say that they look pretty good, for being Turtle Variants. I still would prefer to see the Toon Accurate Space Hoppin' Turtles. Or Trench Coat Turtles. Or even Purple Dragon Turtles. But I'm always willing to get an intresting variation of the green teens. Hopefully these variants actually appear in the toon. There's a likely chance during the upcoming episode: "Junklantis". TMNT Scuba Gear Turtles
  25. That's not Krang. That's Shredder. Krang did make an apperance in Secret Origins pt. 3, but he wasn't a villian. Just a whiny Utrom that didn't like walking on his tentacles. Also note that the original series Krang wasn't even an Utrom. His look was just based on them. This new series has nothing to do with the old one. The Rogue Utrom has been Shredder the entire time. I much prefer this new take on Oroku/Saki the Shredder. He's a much more well written character now, then he ever has been in the past. And I'm glad that the writers had the guts to take chances with changing his character. It's much superior to the original Mirage Shredder who got punk'd in the first issue of the Mirage TMNT comics. Or the original toon version who became a joke far too quickly with all the failed schemes and running away that he did. The new Shredder/Saki is a badass, plain and simple.
