  1. I think Ridley and Tony are equally as good! I think thats why they are confused very often. Tim Pope is okay but he doesn't compare to Proyas I really like I Robot as well! I have seen the trailer for The Golden Army and I can't wait! I am so glad you mentioned both Fincher and Darabondt because I just bought and saw the directors cut of Zodiac for the first time and I was blown away! What a film and what an amazing directoring job by Fincher! IF YOU GUYS WANT TO SEE THE BEST MAKING OF EVER WATCH THE MAKING OF ZODIAC! WOW! I just got The Mist as a gift and I can't wait to see it! Darabondt's adaptation's of Stephen King stories are the best! The only two films of Jeunet that you mentioned that I can say that you list that I have seen are Amelie and Alien: Resurrection which were both great films! Amelie especially is extremely captivating! I am not a big kung fu fan but I have seen some Cheh movies here and there. Paul Thomas Anderson is awesome! I haven't seen There Will be Blood... however, I loved his direction in Magnolia.
  2. Yeah I agree with those being some of the best for the TOS crew but I still enjoyed the rest equally.
  3. I didn't mean watching the clip. I meant watching an entire film in pieces on YouTube. Plus I want to see this film again in it's entirety not just the last few minutes.
  4. I can't say this type of experience has happened to me! However that was really cool! I wish I had been around to watch some of those legendary concerts in the 60s and 70s. I mean Zeppelin, The Doors, Beatles.... The list goes on! Hope you enjoy the album! I am not a huge Black Sabbath fan but I like them! Have you ever seen them perform live?
  5. Cliff Eidelman did the score for that film and I agree just as wonderful as those of Jerry Goldsmith! It's funny you mention ST: VI because I have been listening to that soundtrack at home lately... I just love some of the tracks on there.

    300

I agree. When I went to see 300 I knew what I was going into see. I had read that there was a lot of CGI involved so when the movie began I just couldn't but feel as if I was watching a cartoon. For me I think CGI is being a little overused these days. Films are beginning to look very unauthentic. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, however its just not the same as watching some of the epic films from 30-40 years ago. I had a conversation about this with a fellow co-worker who worked as both a writer and art director in the film business nearly 35 years ago and he told me he has the same problem. He can't enjoy films these days because they just look so over-done with Special effects. Sorry I guess I grew watching films like Kubrick's 2001 and I am old... lol
  7. Same here. I have been wanting to check out this film for a while Wj35 but call me old fashioned but I just can't sit down and watch a movie on a computer screen. Rika I am also at work so that makes two of us. I saw this movie in the early 90s at some point but I would like to check it out maybe if they put it on a new channel called Chiller. Anybody else have this channel? Really is a wonderful channel for horror fans. They play reruns of Tales from the Darkside! One of my favorite shows as a kid!
  8. I completely agree with your choices as being excellent in story-telling. James Cameron's films are just masterpieces. The Terminator series was brilliant and even though people like to bash on Titantic, the film was beautifully put together. I recently saw the special features where Polanski is on-stage in The Pianst and I can't think for a second that this guy could be a muderer since in reality he seems to have such a charm and is great with the actors. Brody said it himself that he was amazing to work with. He truly knows how to bring out the best in an actor's performance. Brad Bird is a genious! Saw him last month at the Oscars and I came up with that conclusion. He will be looked upon for sure as a Animated Film god in the years to come! Ridley Scott definitely agree! I haven't seen American Gangster but that because Gangster movies are not really my favorite genre but I still want to see because of his directing. Man on Fire was actually his brother Tony Scott who is just as good. Gladiator a masterpiece not on historical accuracy but on filming and directing. Alien is also my favorite of the series of course. The first Matrix was amazing the others not so much but still enjoyable. V for Vendatta awesome! I wish they would have directed The Watchmen as I am not a huge Snyder fan. Del Toro's Hellboy and Pans was awesome as well and I applaud you for mentioning him because I forgot! I can't wait for his latest films to come out! I have never been a Tarantino fan but I find his movies somewhat entertaining especially Pulp Fiction and From Dusk till Dawn. Proyas didn't direct Crow: City of Angels he directed The Crow (1994) the film that unfortunately ended in Brandon Lee's death but is still an awesome movie. Tim Pope directed City of Angels which I agree was bad!
  9. I was recently watching the show "The Directors" on the Reels Channel and I was wondering who you guys thought is the best director(s) and/or your favorite(s)? My favorites have to be Spielberg, Kubrick, Hitchcock of all time... However lately Nolan and Alex Proyas have been keeping my list at the top because of their dark atmospheres in film which I love. Nolan for the Batman films and Memento and Proyas for Dark City and The Crow.
  10. That looks definitely fake... however, it is still very cool! It looks like somebody caught them filming but then again it looks like a micro machine flying through a city! @loll@
  11. Thank you Darth Vehmic! Seriously guys cut it out. Who cares how many times SHE mentions that she wants a Storm figure. Just avoid the thread and keep on with your lives. As much as you may find her annoying, you took the time to #1 click on the thread, #2 post a response, and #3 probably come back to see what others responded to your post.
  12. Yeah I get exactly what you mean! I just saw a lot of negative responses to these packs, but in all honesty I don't see them to be all that bad. I am going to just get one of each for now but if they go on sale at any point I am snagging as many as I can! Glad to hear your working on your SW collection! Love to see updates in your collection. It's always amazing to see your collection as it unfolds!
  13. DARKLORD1967! This is some seriously amazing dedication to the art of customizing! I love the work you have put into a series of figures that many people forget but I loved so much growing up! I was really young but still I was fortunate enough to have some of these from older cousins. Excellent work... EXCELLENT! (Burns Voice)

    Will this Work?

It will definitely help............... What I suggest however as a musician myself, is to use this: (you could put all over the walls and then add your collection)
  15. Hey AFS are you planning on army building these guys?
  16. I believe SS and SE will look amazing! So far Snake-Eyes looks great and I couldn't be happier with Ray Parks and the casting for StormShadow but we will really know if the cast looks good when we see someone like The Baroness or Ripcord who don't wear any form of a mask or helmet.
