  1. This figure looks amazing. I'm just trying to figure out what makes it less "Deluxe" than the upcoming Hordak and She-Ra figures.
  2. It's a shame that these figures are being made by a company that was started with money from Megalopolis ripping off customers. Some of their figures look nice, but it's hard for me to support the company.
  3. These are underwhelming. Zedd and Finster don't look as nice as the much-cheaper Hasbro versions. I MIGHT order Zedd's throne, to go with the Hasbro figure, but I think that's it. If they did some truly oddball villains, ones that Hasbro would probably never make, I might bite, but this line just seems kind of unnecessary.
  4. Yep... I was wondering at first, but they look to be completely legit. I pre-ordered 2 of each from BBTS. Super7 also has some pins, a hat, and t-shirt that go with these, too. These are brilliant, I hope they make some more ("Pork chop sandwiches!!!).
  5. I'm really curious as to what happened. Megalopolis ripped off hundreds of customers (at least), and even if there were some issues with EE involved, they still lied, communicated poorly, or not at all, and ultimately stole from a bunch of people. As far as I know, they have not settled with any of those customers since ceasing operations under the "Megalopolis" name, and shifting their focus to the Premium DNA company. I know they also owed EE a bunch of money. This just seems like a weird turn of events. Yeah... I wonder if there is some kind of legal protection involved in them doing this... it's weird that it's through EE.
  6. The head sculpt was modeled after the son of the founder of Olmec Toys, who made Sun Man, etc., originally. It does look a lot like Gary Coleman, though!
  7. Yeah, that sucks... and Chuckles would've been perfect for the "Spy Troops" theme Hasbro did last year. of course, Mercer would've too, and Hasbro didn't make a "Spy Troops" figure of him (come on - a former Viper...). Ah, but I digress. ..
  8. In wave 4, there's supposedly 1X sam in mordor, 1X armored king theoden, 2X helm's deep legolas, and 8X gollum per case, with twilight frodo being something like 1 per every six cases, as you already stated. for wave 3, from the ones I've seen, it looks like Galadriel, Merry/Pippin, and the Prologue Elven Warrior are all one-per-case, the twilight ringwraith is two per case. the rest of the case is all helm's deep aragorn and light-up frodo. the travelling bilbo re-pack is shipping at 1 per case, in the cases with king theoden, saruman the white, eomer, etc. for wave 5, the moria orc is 1 per case.
  9. Yeah, I heard that he's in the wave four cases, which have just been released. I read that he's supposedly packed at one per every six cases, but I'm not sure how reliable this information is. Time will tell. Toy Biz has done a chase figure in each series of Marvel Legends, and these have all proven to be tough finds, so I'm guessing twilight frodo will be the same type of thing. I do have to say, that packaging they showed him in at toy fair did look pretty cool.
  10. Definitely the burger king Uruk-Hai mail-in exclusive.
  11. I'm a completist, and I think that the ratio is AWFUL. True, I do think Gollum will be the most popular of the wave, but 8 per case???? This makes the awful wave 3 case assortments look good. ANd what about the Gimli re-ossue? Has this been cancelled? I also heard that twilight frodo is out, but is a chase figure, shipping at an absurdly low rate (someone said one every six cases, I don't know if that's true). I think a better case assortment for wave 4 would've been: 1X Gimli, 1X twilight frodo, 1X armored king theoden, 2X sam in mordor, 3X Helm's Deep laegolas, and 4X gollum. I remeber reading a while back that the versions of figures in the helm's deep five-pack would all differ somewhat from the single carded versions, and from pics I've seen, the armor on the 5-pack theoden looks to have a duller finish to it than the single carded one. It could be just thelighting in the pics, who knows, but I really hope toy biz corrects this case assortment.
  12. They look to be the Smalljoes.com stands.
  13. Blargh! I was ecstatic when I saw the toy fair pictures of the Mordor Orc and Crossbow-wielding Uruk-Hai figures. Fantastic looking army builders. Now, they announce that they won't produce them...? argh. There has to be some way they could do them in a mail-order army building set, or something like that. Heck, I'd buy at ton of them.
  14. Has anyone else seen this film? Truly, one of the best examples of a so-god-awful-bad-it's-funny movies. Where else can you see Bill Cosby ride a flying ostrich? ahhh....
  15. the Store on 44 and Treasures and Toys have the B.J.'s 8-packs for about 25 bucks.
