  1. I tentatively plan to get Power Girl now. Just going to pre-order at Toy Wiz or something. I can wait since I'm moving in January 2010 and probably won't have any time too go hunting for Wave 10-11 if both are released around then. Also, Wave 5 never hit here in Northern Virginia. The only figures I've ever heard people getting are The Atom in Ellicott City, Maryland at a specialty toy shop and a lone Riddler at a Wal-Mart in Sterling, VA. Also there was a rumor that Forager was part of Wave 10 Not sure if its the silver age or modern version. There weren't any variants in Wave 5, the last Walmart exclusive wave so the possiblity of both being released is slim.
  2. Remnants of 25th anniversary waves still at my local TRUs and Targets. Mostly the DVD Box sets and Commanding Officer sets along with singles of Cobra Troopers, Tripwires at TRU and Flint in Cobra Disguise with Scarlett at Target. The rarest thing I saw were multiple Croc Masters at the Fairfax, TRU. Exclusive Python Patrol Conquest is still at Fairfax, VA Target but passed buying it. Don't have enough room for vehicles in my collection right now. Also the lights went out in the store right when I got there and people would have been waiting in line for a long time at the registers to check out. Wal-Mart still has comic 2 packs and a few Resolute box sets but not much else beyond that.
  3. Seeing lots of Wave 7 everywhere today at Kingstowne Alexandria, VA TRU and Fairfax, VA TRU. Camo Aquaman and Blue Beetle were surprises. Also W7 Firestorm at the Fairfax store was the first time I've seen him at regular retail. In related news, not sure if its been mentioned before but I think Target.com now has Wave 7 figures on their website for sale as well. Wouldn't be suprised if the brick and mortar hits there too. I hope this doesn't become the new Wave 4 with figures sitting on shelves for over a year (i.e. Springmall Mall Target, Burke VA Target and Woodbridge, VA Target).
  4. Nice sculpt but she's still one of the most annoying characters in the movie. They should've gotten a different actress to play her. Carla Guigno did a great job as Silk Spectre I. Too bad she looks awful in old age as Silk Spectre I though.
  5. The packaging of the Insecticon reissue looks beyond lame. Decepticon "Agents"? They're roles were a bit more intricate than that in the original Generation 1 techspecs. I'm not sure who has Habro has working in the store exclusives division these days, but this doesn't look encouraging.
  6. More long breaks between the movie and the next series. @grumpy@ I wonder how Hasbro expects to sell Revenge product in 2010 since all the initial sales for 09 waves will be huge plus you only get the bump for the eventual Fall 2009 Bluray/DVD release and the usual toy sales that occur during Christmas 09 holiday season. Spring/Summer 2010 is going to be a barren wasteland for TFs at Wal-Marts, Targets, and TRUs. Here's hoping the new animated series comes out year-end like Animated when the first movie was released in 2007 but I strongly doubt it since it development had started almost a year in advance after Cybertron ended in 2006. So I guess Fall 2010 is just about right. I hope Takara continues to the Alternity line or at least expands to include more G1 releases. Its been very hard being a Transformers fan these past few years with Hasbro always underpromoting the Generation 1 line whenever the movies come out.
  7. Makes sense that these will be online since they seem to gearing up for the movie. I'll be watching Entertainment Earth's site. There haven't any new 25th/HOH Joe figures or back stock showing up at any stores around here for weeks.
  8. Same "closing of the factory" problems, I guess. hence the delay?
  9. Looks kinda crappy. Bad and pretty plain packaging too. As if it was done in less than 2 hours. Joker fans will eat it up though.
  10. I still have mine in the package. Just opened it for the Giganta parts. Same thing with Commander Steel.
  11. I totally forgot about the Best of Series. I was thinking these would be peg warming around here by now but so far I've seen more DCUC Wave 7 than anything else.
  12. DCUC Wave 7 in Woodbridge/Manasas(Stream Walk Lane) Wal-Marts and Woodbridge, Virginia Toys R' Us. DCUC Wave 6 - Manasas Walmart on Liberia Avenue. DCUC Orion - Manasas Toy R' Us
  13. Nice looking version of Stargirl and Kingdom Come Supes. Cyclone looks like she could really use some work though. Also ANOTHER Hourman figure? Can't get enough him, hunh? They shouldn't redo any figures from the DC Direct lines in DCUC as it is heavily redundant. Chances are you can get an improved version but it leaves out so many other characters that deserve a figure from getting one. There's very few slots per wave and who knows where this line will be in 1-2 years if Mattel continues its poor management of it.
  14. So I guess this is the end of the Dark Knight line..finally? At TRUs, its 100:1 allocation of shelf space Dark Knight to DCUC..at least.
  15. In this county, there still coming into Wal-Marts although my direct location (about 5 miles) has zippo and they're switching out for Marvel Universe.
  16. Only got 4 so here goes: 1. Not enough female figures. I count Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Artemis, Power Girl, Harley, Barda, Giganta and Black Canary. 9 in only just about 10 waves give or take in the main line excluding the rereleased 2 packs (Batgirl) and exclusive (Starfire). They can do a lot better here rather than just the bare minimum. I know beggars can't be choosers either but also Mattel's market research will always say the male A-listers (Batman, Superman) are more popular than their female counterparts. 2. Too many New Gods. They killed off the whole lineup of classic New Gods in the comics recently. Well a lot of things are wrong now in the DC comics line, but thats another story.. 3. Killer Moth - Fugly colors was enough to turn me off enough from buying him in Wave 6. 4. Redundant releases - Dr. Impossible, Captain Cold, Blue Suit Aquaman - The Doc and Cap we're both recently done by DC Direct and I thought it was far too soon to put them in DCUC when there are figures that are more deserving. Also, Blue Suit Aquaman was a real head scratcher for me. Talk about obscure and not entire popular either.
  17. I cancelled my order with another shop and ordered off ebay. $30 rape shipping charge and everything. It was worth it though. Couldn't wait another 2-3 weeks for these.
  18. It better be, I paid 50 bucks for the Cyborg/Mongol 2-Pack and it'd be nice to own a rare piece of the line for once rather than Artemis, Classic Variant Aquaman or Wave 5. Eh, whatever guess it evens out in the end.
  19. Huge promo for Matty Collector! We'll put the print ads on the Facebook site or in Toyfare which reaches what a couple of thousand people at most? Or if they ever find the figures in stores... @bH@
  20. Phantom Lady [stormy Knight] Tara Shakira Dawnstar Jennifer Morgan Enchantress [Modern Costume] Judomaster [sonia Sato] Variants: Enchantress (Classic), Phantom Lady (Classic) C2C: Gog Looking at that lineup, there aren't any anchors(A-listers), New Gods so it doesn't follow the standard formula. Whatever, my wish list at this point.
  21. This is going to be so short it may as well been a direct to dvd release like Valor and Venom. How come they always make the good stuff not last as long?
  22. Was this for the entire set or just 3 figures? I see some pre-sold out (Hawkgirl, Fate Variant, one of the parademons) but everything else still is labelled as "pre-order" and not showing "in stock".

    DCUC Wave 8

Anyone know a great place to pre-order and get them BEFORE they start showing up all over?
  24. Finally some good news this week. Everybody in hub-bub about this dumb Wonder Twins set and what not.

    DCUC Wave 8

going to place my order for a wave 8 set with BBTS soon but the pre-orders shipping time is 3 to 7 days with no option for expedited shipping. figures are due out to be shipped in three weeks. i think. the cases are being split like wave 7 which is plain stupid. add to this the Best of DC case coming out earlier in April its probably less likely to find the entire 6iganta wave in stores.this release of this wave is way overdue. wavr 9 is out in late august which the longest break between waves since 3 and 4 last year i think.
