  1. He should stick to reviewing movies like 'Julie and Julia.'
  2. 'Evil Never Looked So Good' ... almost as if Joel Schumacher directed the movie. Glad he didn't; the accelerator suits would have nipples on them.
  3. I get collector's remorse every so often, too. I'm 37 and I've been collecting Batman, Transformers and various other toylines since the mid 80s. I missed a lot of the original GI Joe toyline (3.75 inch, that is) back in the 80s, but I've really hit the ground running with the 25th collection. So my advice is: follow your bliss! If you enjoy it, then don't let anyone tell you or influence you to stop collecting anything ... stamps, action figures, dryer lint ... whatever!
  4. Have you guys tried www.unicron.com ? The database is located on the right side of the webpage sorted by year and genre. I'm not sure how complete is it, but it catalogs several years of TF collections.
  5. TFA Blitzwing hit west Knoxville, TN today. Picked him up at Turkey Creek Wal-Mart.

I love how Newmar's quote from the NY Daily News doesn't mention Halle Berry as one of the actresses who played Catwoman! Probably has something to do with the fact that the movie REALLY sucked (so I heard, I never saw it)!
  7. I have some of the 'Swoop' bikes for my Crimson Guards.Click here to see them
  8. The 'DVD Battles' sets have hit Knoxville, TN. I found them both at the Target on Ray Mears blvd. this morning. Lady Jaye is SWEET! I hope Hasbro plans to release more aquatic troops in the future.
  9. This is such an amazing custom! I have a general question about customizing TFs: do you actually take the toy completely apart before painting OR do you paint the toy intact? What type of paint do you use when customizing? Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TLC
  10. I found wave 3 of the deluxe Transformers Animated figures tonight and I'm very happy with them all. My Jazz, however, has two right hands. Has anyone else noticed this on Jazz? Just curious.
  11. The vehicle sets arrived at the TRU off of Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN today. They had two cases. I'm glad they included figure stands for the vehicle drivers. On a side note: I was a little disappointed in the paint job on the Tele-Viper which comes with the Cobra Flight Pod set. It just seemed a little messy to me ... but I'm glad I got one anyway.
  12. I did not see any leader class TFs at the Knoxville Wal-Mart.
  13. I found these yesterday at the Wal-Mart in East Knoxville, TN Deluxe: Bumblebee, Cybertron OP, Lockdown, Blackarachnia, Prowl and Ratchet (I passed on Cybertron OP and Lockdown) Voyager: Cybertron Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, Lugnut, Bulkhead (I passed on Megs ... waiting for earth mode). The two pack with the DVD was in stock, also. I'm really disappointed in Bumblebee ... I'm tempted to return him. Prowl, however, is AWESOME! Grimlock is sweet, too.
  14. The deluxe and voyager waves of TF Animated have been found at the east town Wal-Mart in Knoxville, TN. I saw several of each: (Deluxe) Bumblebee, Prowl, Ratchet, Blackarachnia, Lockdown and Cybertron Optimus; (Voyager) Lugnut, Grimlock, Bulkhead, Starscream, Cybertron Megatron. They also had the 'battle begins' two pack. Prowl is my favorite of all of them. He is so amazingly posable! Bumblebee is a bit of a disappointment, though. I can't wait to get Leader class Megs ... he looks awesome!
  15. This is my favorite Indy figure incarnation yet! The horse has neck, head, shoulder, hip, 'elbow' and knee articulation ... and even the hooves and tail are articulated! I've got him posed on horseback on my desk at work pointing his gun at my telephone!
  16. Sari made of Cybertronian parts ... hmmm ... Sari (rearrange the letters) ... Arsi = Arcee ? ?
  17. I like the way you have Baroness posed against Destro.
  18. I'm SO glad to see that I'm not the only 36 year-old collector on here! I purchased these really cool shelves from Pier 1 on clearance last year and I keep my Transformers proudly displayed on them in my home. I, too, am past the age of caring what people think of my robot collection, yet, as I get older, more of my friends find my collection ver interesting and the TFs are great conversation pieces when I have company over to visit. I also have several TFs on display at my office. My students show mixed reactions when they come by to the office for help and they come to realize that their college professor has G1 Soundwave, Starscream and Megatron on display in his office. I usually transform/play with them when I'm cleaning and dusting. On long trips, I take a 'trip toy' with me to keep me from getting too bored ... and 9 times out of 10 that 'trip toy' is a Transformer (Classics Jetfire a lot lately). I don't post on here that often, but I do want to say thanks to madman1366 for starting this thread. I wish there were more postings like this one.
  19. Remember guys, Hasbro has not officially cancelled the "Classics" line just yet. True ... they're not putting out anything new just yet, but according to Hasbro (I have mailed them regarding this matter), they have no plans on discontinuing this line. I'm optimistic ... although the last time I backed the manufacturer, MOTU got cancelled.
  20. I'm sure I'll give the show a chance ... but (don't hate me) the animation reminds me of 'Challenge of the Gobots'
  21. I might be the nerdiest of all Transformer collectors on the sight ... nerdy in the most academic sense possible. I'm 35 y/o, I'm married, I'm a homeowner, I'm a tenured mathematician doing research on T-systems and I've been collecting Transformers since their inception in 1984. I wear the nerd badge with pride ... especially since it pays so well. Although, I do NOT own a pocket protector.
  22. The same thing we do every night SS....TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD NARF!
  23. I only bought the "Real Gear" toys at K-Mart. The deluxes I saw didn't appeal to me
  24. I'm really excited about the "Real Gear" TFs (not too thrilled over the deluxe figures). I was able to buy the yellow binoculars and the red MP3 player (I'm calling that one Laserbeak). The cashier rang it up and the "Before Sale Date" edit came up ... her solution: go grab another TF toy from the shelf that was of equal price and use it for my purchase.
