  1. I agree the price range makes me a lot more choosy over who I pick.
  2. I personally really like 3D but agree it's overused. I think it's big again now because now they have digital formats to make it in that don't require the usual red and blue glasses (Which I welcome very much) and frankly these days, theaters are desperate for a gimmick that gets butts in the seats and this works. I get the feeling my sister will love to see The Rock and shirtless Storm Shadow in 3D
  3. My area must not include "everywhere" then. Mine has absolutely NO Joe. Which sucks 'cause I live in Rhode Island. The home of GI Joe.
  4. Well, I'm sure they're paying likeness fees for The Rock.
  5. I don't know if this is going to hurt GI Joe or not. I hope someone at Hasbro gets the toys back and holds onto them until next year. All I know is that I am @##@@ PISSED! For the record, yes. Avengers was awesome in 3D and yes, it can make a difference depending on the movie. I'm not sure if GI Joe needs it though and now I fear for a repeat of The Last Airbender and Clash of the Titans. 3D thrown in at the last minute and it comes out fuzzy and bad
  6. http://www.cobraspecialforces.com/ I thought this was cool. A little shorter than I thought it would be though. You take a couple of tests to see where you would rank in Cobra. I qualify for the Mercenary division >D NOTE: I think you need a facebook account to do this though
  7. Excellent photos ltfalcon. I love your vehicles. fair enough. I'd be all over them if they were at retail myself. lol I'm not that interested in the 12 inch figures but I wouldn't mind having the club sets if they weren't so expensive. Agreed! Where do they get off charging that much? That's pretty much the only thing keeping me from buying those Cool! I buy both scales too (Not at cons though. Can't afford it D: ) I hate how people constantly argue and debate over which line is better when they clearly both have great play value in their own way. That's rapidly become a big pet peeve of mine in the Joe collecting world OVER 200?!!! I want to see your collection!!
  8. Oh yes, I will totally be getting all of these. Well, minus Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. they're just not impressing me
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GI-Joe-Cobra-Conrad-Duke-Clayton-Camo-12-Action-Men-/120901626377?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item1c264c6a09#ht_1986wt_1139 I can't imagine paying that much for THIS toy. At 5 or 10 bucks I'd but it for the vest but that's it man.
  10. They may not be from my time but I love Adventure Team toys. Just something about them really grab my attention. I know if I was a child of the 70s I probably would've been all over the GI Joe Adventure Team but sometimes I feel alone in this. At least in my age group. Naturally, most of the Adventure Team's fanbase is 40+ year olds and it kinda makes me feel out of it. Are there any Adventure Team fans here? Any of you get into them even though you're not children of the 70s?
  11. Let's see, yep still a Hasbro toy line so yeah, this is just a given ;p Hasbros marketing plan 1. sell toys no one wants 2. make toys we do want but not release them 3. ???? 4. PROFIT!
  12. WOAH! He looks so BADASS!!
  13. And yet Phineas and Ferb has NO trouble selling. Seriously. The P&F section of Toys R Us was raped and abandoned last Christmas! Maybe it appeals to a younger audience. Helps that they're not charging 11 bucks a figure. in fact, they're charging about 8 bucks for a two pack ;p
  14. Eh, everyone seems to be a ninja now. Guess in this overly PC world, Ninjas are an easier sell than soldiers ;p
  15. Fred is freakin' HORRIBLE! I hate to be that old guy that can't figure out what kids see in something but I REALLY can't see what they find so funny in Fred.
  16. Screwing with Thundercats again? Well, screw you CN. Of course, the way CN's so on again, off again with most of their cartoons it's amazing anything works on that channel. Batman: Brave and the Bold anyone? The Annoying Orange is getting a series? That's it. Television's dead. I blame Fred. His show on Nick probably made CN want to do the same thing
  17. I wonder if Superman gets sick of being treated like Batman's sidekick
  18. As a New Englander, I'm often visiting the New England GI Joe Collectors club site
  19. I got a hold of a vintage Adventure Team Commander head and put it on a super poseable body. I ended up having to glue it to the neck because the head's neck socket ended up being too big. But I really like the results here's a shot to show off his new bod. In a 21st century toys Vietnam uniform that I thought made a perfect AT Commander uniform I know not a lot of people here care about 12" figures but I wanted to show him off anyway because I really like how he came out and the Adventure Team needs more love
  20. That's ridiculous. When I saw that picture I thought it was at a WalGreens or something. Never thought I'd live in a world where Toys R Us is cheaper ;p Not by much but it IS cheaper
