  1. Yeah well, I seem to recall a time when wrestling toys didn't have ANY articulation Is there a Sgt. Slaughter?
  2. I think they do something similar with Transformers as well. those Transformers Rescue Bots are obviously aimed for kids. I kind of think they should do something similar with The Adventure Team
  3. I don't get why people demand a 6" line. I know I don't want one and frankly, they'd be way too expensive :/ I'd rather they'd release those damn toys already! Instead they release Roadblock with a gun molded onto the hand and they wonder why toys don't sell anymore :/ Toys do seem to be going the way of comic books. Once a child staple, now due to technology and over pricing, children have lost interest. They really want to appeal to kids again? Stop with the stupid rocket launchers and lower the prices Although, if kids don't play with toys anymore, then why do the Marvel and Transformers toys still sell so well? That can't just be collectors buying them. In fact just earlier today I saw a kid with a Transformers backpack. So some of them must still like them
  4. I saw it in theaters. I own it on Blu-Ray. It's fun to watch but my least favorite moment is probably the Paris chase scene. It felt less like GI Joe and more like James Bond meets Iron Man :/
  5. I agree with the ones saying Gung-Ho needs one too. The 25th Aniv. version has all the same articulation problems as Duke AND a bad leg. here he is!!! that's what I am talking about. unfortunately, he is in the concept case those cases always have the best figures at the con I know right? They let those sit in a case and give us Roadblock with a molded on gun and then they sit and wonder why GI Joe isn't selling like it used to :/
  6. With Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow getting Sunbow style figures, what else would you like to see get this treatment? Me, I want to see Duke because the 25th Aniv. version just never did it for me and I want a classic style Duke that can actually hold his weapons properly. Not to mention sit less awkwardly. A Sunbow Flint would be good too I think
  7. I'm hoping this brings in the Iron Grenadiers. I can't help but think they've set it up perfectly
  8. COOL! Hope The Rock comes back. And although he didn't do a terrible directing job, they may be better off with a director with more experience in action films
  9. Heh it did kinda come out of no where. I guess they wanted to show just how much business Cobra meant and nothing says "Bow down to me" like blowing up a heavily populated city
  10. Of course it was over the top. Since when has Cobra NOT been over the top? XD
  11. When I go into a movie like this I expect something on par with Avengers, Star Trek or Dark Knight. Sorry this is supposed to be a major blockbuster movie kicking off the summer season, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something more than some fancy explosions and gun fights. Especially when you have a all-star cast consisting of The Rock, Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum considering this was originally supposed to come out in late June of last year, I seriously doubt it was intended to kick off the summer season. It's true intention was to be a 90 minute toy commercial
  12. AWESOME!! Deadpool: A real American... something
  13. I think there's a difference between simply cutting your face a bit and getting friggin' STABBED! I do admit it had pacing issues though. It was clearly the work of a director still feeling his way through this medium. So no. Hardly a perfect movie but I came to watch Snake Eyes, The Rock, and Bruce Willis kick Cobra ass and that's what I got. On a related note, didn't anyone else love how Roadblock totally pwned Firefly at the end? LIKE A BOSS!
  14. Yeah, I never go into these expecting a perfect re-creation of the source material. For what it was, it was fun and had a better GI Joe vibe than the first
  15. I saw Major Bludd too! I'm hoping Destroy survived. He can turn around, form the Iron Grenaiders and start his revenge. Hey, if Storm Shadow can survive getting stabbed for no reason... (My one complaint about the movie) Sorry, everyone's entitled to their opinion but this I feel was more worthy of the name "GI Joe" than the last one. Maybe it falls short if you're following the comic but I followed the cartoon as a kid so this feels just as good to me
  16. Never been a huge fan of the Hanna Barbera cartoons (Tom and Jerry is awesome though) but some of these would make for great toy comics. Seriously. Hong Kong Phooey vs Snakes Eyes would be hysterical XD
  17. What a great little story. Thanks for sharing. Good pictures too
  18. I enjoyed Crystal Skull. Sure, it was no Raiders but it was fun. Honestly, the nuked the fridge scene didn't bother me nearly as much as "Shai Labuff: lord of the apes!" but it's good to see Spielberg appears to have a sense of humor about it's backlash
