  1. Yeah, add Gung-Ho and Zartan to the list, too (as well as Beach-Head). I'm really strongly suspecting that we'll get most of those next year. It just seems too appropriate NOT to crank out a few more "Ultimate" figures for the 50th Anniversary. Whether they come as mass-retail single packs, exclusives, or multipacks is what remains to be seen. I'd also expect a new Baroness (possibly recycling the SDCC mold). Not really, I actually got 'em, I was just using him as an example. Alpine though is a must. My only beefs with Alpine are that A: The 25th style looks dated compared to more recent figures, but if you put out a "fully modernized" version he doesn't go with the other 25th figures as well and B: Yeah it'll be nice to get Alpine, but I'm just as miffed about the incomplete MASS Device I have as I am not having Alpine. Oh yeah! Almost forgot about Gung-Ho. His 25th Anniv. figure did even less for me than the Duke figure. At least 25th Duke could stand on his own
  2. I just got back from Rhode Island Comic Con. Excellent day overall but I bought some GI Joe toys. I got the 25th anniv. set with the RAM Cycle and Bubble Pod and a B.A.T. All at a really good deal. What happened? I went to the bathroom and went to a panel. AND FORGOT THE TOYS!!! I didn't realize this until over a half hour later and of course by then they were gone!! Sorry. I needed to rant. Since it was such a good deal, at least I know I didn't spend a lot >>
  3. YES! I think it is. THank you!!! *hugs The video didn't work there but thanks to you I was able to look up the title and find it on youtube
  4. I saw this cartoon once as a little kid. ONCE so the memories are hazy and will sound strange but there was this cartoon where a man has an egg sitting in one of those single egg holding thing like this; The man taps the egg with a spoon and it cracks but he hears a voice shout "STOP THAT!" He cracks it again and the voice shouts at him again. He keeps doing this and the voice keeps shouting at him until the egg finally collapses and the voice screams. He leaves the room and enters what I think was the living room. From there, the room starts to slowly close in like it's being broken from the outside and he makes the exact same "stop that" cries as the man from the egg until the whole room collapses in on him. He makes the same screaming sound and then the scene is all black. Like I said, I saw this cartoon once in my childhood and it stuck with me. I think it even kind of freaked me out at the time. Does anyone recognize what I'm describing or am I just insane? ._.
  5. Wow, I thought that "Pop the Pig" game was a terrible idea (and yet my little brother still wanted it) but that, wow ._.
  6. Looks good! Thanks for the photo That's how he should've looked at some point in the movie XD I know it's impractical to wear a beret in combat but Flint just doesn't seem like Flint to me without it. Plus, since when has GI Joe ever worried about being practical?
  7. Eh, call me crazy but I'm just not interested in a 6" GI Joe line. Other than having the Joes compatible with Movie Masters and Marvel Legends figures, I don't really see the point. Maybe if you could still get 6" figures at $7.99 but at the $20 range they're going at now, kinda feels like I'm being ripped off. What I'd really like to see is more stuff like classic Cobra Commander. I'd love to see the classic '82 Duke done this way. The 25 Aniv. figure just didn't do it for me.
  8. I actually kinda hated the 6" lines for that. Why do they get all the secondary characters while the 4" lines are stuck with variants that never appear in the movies? >< Shouldn't the line's small scale encourage more characters? I guess we can thank the failure of the Green Lantern line for that. It was chock full of various characters that didn't sell :/
  9. head sculpt seemed a little different to me but it's cool it fits. thanks Any pictures?
  10. It's too realistic to fit in a world with a super hero alien. (In my opinion anyway) There's only one Batman/Superman movie I want to see; http://youtu.be/t3oN3EJcfwE Sadly, it will never happen T_T
  11. I know, we need a Preorder now. I will take 3 cases please! Sweet! I'm not alone here! I understand liking the 6" scale but I'm baffled by the hate the 4" scale is suddenly getting. Some of us don't want to spend $20 a figure
  12. My only problem with Ultimate Cobra Commander is that his ankle articulation makes putting him on his or any other stand rather difficult. >< Hey, does the beret from the wave 2 Flint fit on Ultimate Flint?
  13. Sweet! Good to see Power Team is still around
  14. Of course it didn't "end." Lucas wanted you to go see the next one! But Eh, he has an un-popular opinion. I have plenty myself. Big deal.
  15. Twilight on ANY piece of merchandise makes MY stomach hurt ._.
  16. The inner six year old in me thinks they're kinda cool looking. Won't be rushing to buy them though
  17. Wow, guess I'm the only one here that likes they're in a 4" scale. BTW, is there a release date for these yet?
  18. OMG! Christopher Reeve Superman in a GI Joe scale? I'M THROWING MY MONEY AT THE MONITOR BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!!!
  19. If you don't know, there is a Toy Story Halloween special coming next month. In it, we get to see a toy named "Combat Carl." Now, I'm sure you remember him in the first movie. Didn't do anything but blow up but it was clear who they were referring to in this. Some new images came out that bring the shout out closer to home Combat Carl appears to come in both 12" and 3.75" and I love how clearly vintage 80s toy the small one looks. I just thought that was a cool little shout out and I for one hope they make figures of him when this special comes out http://pixartimes.com/2013/09/27/five-new-toy-story-of-terror-images-showcase-jessie-buzz-woody-combat-carl-mr-pricklepants/
  20. (hope this is the right section ^^; ) https://www.animesols.com/ Anime Sols just opened up and they have THREE Tezuka series right now! You can pledge to get a DVD boxset of the first three 24 Hour TV Specials from Tezuka: Bander Book, Marine Express and Fumoon. We all know that Astro Boy is a major character in Marine Express, but he also has a cameo in Bander Book. And Fumoon is based on Nextworld, a manga from Tezuka's classic sci-fi trilogy like Metropolis, so it incorporates a lot of Metropolis characters in a similar detective tale. Also, in probably even bigger news, you can pledge on a set for the first 13 episodes (0-12) of the 2004 Black Jack TV series. And finally, the first 13 episodes of Blue Blink, the last anime Tezuka supervised. Each set has a 2 month and a half deadline to meet their goal. You can see in real time how much money a set has made out of how much it needs. If a series doesn't reach its goal, any chance of it ever seeing an R1 DVD release has been lost! If you don't have the money to pledge, at least share the site everywhere online, on your blogs, Twitter, Facebook, etc. People outside North America can also have friends from there pledge in their place and refund them via Paypal. Only a limited amount of copies will be available on web stores after a series is funded, so it's best to pledge if you want to be sure to get yourself a very rare DVD. I should also add that this is like Kickstarter, so the money of your pledge is only sent if the goal needed for the set is met.
