  1. I cross my 12" Joes with Action Man a lot. If I had the small DC and Marvel or Wolverine figures, I'd use them too. Tell me a fight between Snake Eyes and Wolverine would not be epic! Oh, and I have 5" Predator and Alien figures I cross over a lot with them. I mean, what's the point of having multiple toy lines if you're not going to have them meet up? Oh, I almost forgot. There's one more line I like to cross GI Joe with... XD
  2. Anyone who can't enjoy a movie with Ninjas, hot babes fighting and lots of stuff blowing up can't enjoy the finer things in life 8D
  3. There was once a soldier in The Simpsons named LT. Smash that I thought would've made a cool Joe name
  4. Like Duke, his head sculpt looks like he smells something funny. Maybe Snake Eyes went to Taco Bell XD The gear looks awesome though
  5. Looking good Though I'm having trouble taking that villain; Ironblood seriously. I mean, he looks like the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail XD
  6. Well, I've been to 2 wal-marts, a Target, and a Toys R Us and didn't see him. In fact, I didn't see anything from that wave. Makes me wonder if this wave has even arrived in my area yet (Rhode Island) It's strange, some people find him boring but I find him more exciting looking a figure than the actual Reactive impact armor Duke. I think it's the pants XD They add a bit of color to the set up. Plus, I like his assault rifle more than the one Impact armor Duke has
  7. there aren't a whole lot of ROC figures that make my "OMG GOTTA HAVE" list but City Strike Duke is one of them. Has he appeared in stores yet? If not, when should he?
  8. Yeah, that's a pretty impressive figure. Definitely the best ROC has to offer. For the record though, I'm a pretty rare breed. Not only am I one of the few under 30 toy collectors that enjoy 12" figures, but I'm also one of the few that don't care for those high end over priced Sideshow or Hot Toys figures. (mainly because they're made for collecting in mind and not for playing where as Hasbro on the other hand keeps it real and remembers that these are TOYS!) Although, yeah. There are some pretty snobby 12" toy collectors. Hence why I don't hang out with a lot of them. But now I'm topic derailing ^^; Great review. I totally want to pick one of those Destros up
  9. I found this on Toysrus.com http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3684542 Does anyone know if it's for the regular Nintendo DS or for the DS Lite?
  10. I sadly can't afford Hot Toys but I really really really want their Astro Boy figure
  11. That's actually the one Sigma Six figure I wanted
  12. I may have to get theses at some point
  13. LOL I get the feeling it's Dr. Mindbender's. He just... gives me that feeling XD Anyway... Astro Boy joined the team! How could he not? He was the only person in Boot Camp who did 500 push ups without complaining one bit! XD
  14. Let's face it. Duke's always been boring @loll@
  15. I've used Lanard's tank from The Corps http://manetoysmagickingdom.blogspot.com/2006/11/corps-misson-vehicle-tank.html Yeah, I think that's why the actual Avatar movie coming out is just called "The Last Airbender."
  16. GI Joe... BEER? http://cgi.ebay.com/G-I-Joe-Steel-12oz-Can_W0QQitemZ110447682452QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b731e394
  17. Good review. Sucks about the rocket feet though. I may have to buy two of these. BTW, as a major Astro Boy fan I think these are FAR better than the ones that came out a few years back. At least sculpting wise they are. Astro Boy here looks far more like his classic innocent self where the others made him look like a mischievous delinquent or something. It's also nice to see an Astro Boy line that has characters other than Astro Boy!
  18. Totally! That's what I plan to do. I want to get the uniform of the Sideshow Duke and put it on one of the 12" Dukes I already own. I wouldn't mind doing the same with Cobra Commander and the Cobra soldier as well too
  19. I DO think saying this line has failed before Christmas isn't smart but I do agree that I wasn't very impressed with the designs and if I was a kid, I would've wanted more color. Like say, the good guys (except Snake Eyes of course) in dark green or something with the Cobras in blue, red, ect. I also do think that the prices are crazy. I actually LIKE quite a few of the vehicles (especially the Cobra Gunship and that black Humvee thing) but the prices are too high. 25-30 dollars are too much to pay. If they made sound effects or something then maybe but they don't. I really really think though GI Joe may have more luck around Christmas. I'll bet a lot of kids are asking mom or dad for these toys and the parents are looking at the prices and going "YIKES! Uh... let's ask Santa." And yeah, a lot of little boys would rather just play video games. Too bad the GI Joe game sucks from what I hear
  20. Oh Snap! Chuck Norris joined GI Joe! Cobra's in trouble now! XD "Chuck Norris once made himself 3.75" tall in an attempt to make is fights more challenging... it failed!"
  21. A tough question. After all to some, the original 60s toy military toys aren't GI Joe, to some, the Adventure Team isn't GI Joe, to some, the 80s 3.75" series isn't GI Joe, GI Joe extreme isn't GI Joe, and to some, Sigma 6 isn't GI Joe. I'll bet the children growing up on this movie now will look at whatever Hasbro does with GI Joe 20 years from now and say "That's not GI Joe!" So the REAL question is; "Was this YOUR GI Joe?"
  22. Wow. This guy just doesn't like anything, does he? o_O
  23. aside from some costume and race changes, I thought it felt a lot like the cartoon. That is, if the cartoon allowed people to get killed XD And I thought the CGI was pretty cool... most of the time
  24. AWESOME! I gotta post some of my pictures at some point
