  1. To tell you the truth, I'm actually kinda relieved to hear GI Joe's gonna be on Hiatus for a bit. I just got into the ROC line shortly after Christmas since they marked them down and I've been hunting around for those along with my usual want list from the vintage series and 12" figures s it's actually nice to know that I won't have to worry about anything new coming to the table for a while and I can take this time to catch up on the stuff I don't have yet. Anyone else feel this way?
  2. I'm so far behind that if Hasbro were to full out cancel the line, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference for me XD
  3. With the con in my home state of Rhode Island, I am very very VERY excited for it And I may be a minority here, but I actually liked the ROC figures more than the 25th Aniv. figures. You can actually play with the ROC figures. Not so much with the 25th Aniv. They're just meant to look pretty and while they do look fantastic, I wanna play with my toys, damn it! I think the real issue for ROC was the price more than anything else. I noticed they went pretty fast the after Christmas and they got marked down to five and six bucks. I know that's when I started buying them. Hopefully, Hasbro will take the hint and charge less for the sequel's toys
  4. I must not be the only one since I found this as an ad on Yojoe.com, but I found this http://www.monkeydepot.com/Soldier_Story_US_Army_10th_Special_Forces_SS_036_p/ss0037.htm and I don't know about you, but this looks suspiciously a LOT like Channing Tatum as Duke. I mean, he's even got the scar on his cheek. Your thoughts?
  5. I looked at the GI Joe con website (GIJoecon.com) and I found a "Registration form" that mentions the sets form shortly after posting that and I'm seeing that even if I join, it's looking like damn near $300 bucks each for these things. Please tell me if I'm looking at the wrong thing. This is utter Bullplop. I know it's a GI Joe club and all, but I really don't like the idea that I have to pay all that to pre-order these things. Looks like I'm gonna have to let them pass. Thanks for the info though. At least I know now and not going in expecting to buy them and not being able to.
  6. Crap. that's stupid. Where do I do that? And how much is it going to cost?
  7. What's a Ross? Never heard of this place :/
  8. If these were just an ordinary toy line, I'd probably go for this but as a Collectors Club exclusive they're pretty "meh." I'm also a little peeved at Hasbro for this entire concept. I mean, who's brilliant idea was it to make the stuff we want club exclusives? What a tease!
  9. This'll probably sound real stupid but please bear with me. This will be the very first time I attend an official GI Joe convention so I want to make sure I have all my info correct. The exclusive figures. That is, both the 3.75" Red Shadows set and the 12" Adventure Team figure. Is there something special I need to do ahead of time in order to purchase these like be part of the GI Joe club, or pre-register for the convention, or anything like that? Or can I just come in, pay the general admission fee and still be able to purchase the figures? Thanks in advanced
  10. Deadpool vs Death Stroke is an epic concept for a fight!
  11. Wow, remind me never to invite them to any of MY Christmas and Birthday parties XD Though Rock Band is pretty cool. In fact, that reminds me. What really got me was when I saw a clip of them protesting to John Lennon's "Give Peace a chance." That was it. I was thinking "Oh No! You are NOT trying to ban my favorite toy line with my favorite music artist!" ><
  12. OH MY GOD! Tag encourages children to chase each other! It encourages the desire to attack and builds aggressive behaviors! We can't have that! XD
  13. Indeed. I've always had a bit of a moral problem with reenacting real wars. Playing out things where people really y died and suffered always kinda bothered me. I never liked toys or video games based on WW2 or Vietnam. Hence why the 80s GI Joe is my favorite version. It's fantasy. Though I have to disagree with you on the movie XD
  14. I found these videos on Youtube that I thought as Joe fans, you might be interested in Now, I'm all for spreading the message of peace and ending war, but I think picking on a toy company is the wrong way to go about it. War Toys don't make wars. Bad Government does. So let's all laugh at the old coots together XD
  15. Excellent review. I cannot describe how much I want this toy
  16. I want SatAM figures. More specifically, I want a Sally figure
  17. Dude! Jazwares is awesome. Did you not see their Astro Boy movie line? It's the first time any American toy company actually made decent Astro Boy toys. Their 3.75" scale Sonic figures are awesome too. My only issue is that if it's Jazwares, then chances are the only place we'll find them is Toys R Us
  18. Honestly, I think what we got is better :/ If you ask me, I think it'd be awesome if the set had Action Man considering The Red Shadows come from Action Force, it'd be a nice nod
  19. Thank You. Do all the events take place on the same day or are they spread out through out the weekend? For example, is Larry Hama only going to be there on Thursday, and the fanfilm festival or Hassenfeld only on friday?
  20. Oh yeah. I forgot Indy. I've teamed him with the Joes a few times too. Though I don't know how Indy would feel having to fight an entire Terrorist organization themed to snakes XD Something else I've jokingly crossed over
  21. I was on the official website and I wanted to ask, the adult admission price is 12 dollars but is that per day or for the whole weekend?
  22. I'm only just now learning of this place why? O_O I WANNA GO!
