  1. this is one of the best DCD sets of all time. Despero puts to shame the DCUC one. Also, one of the best batman figures ever, the best GL Hal ever, and, a great superman with an interchangable head. great stuff
  2. Let me rehprase that statement since all of you, as I suspected, went nuts over it. they have the same USEFUL amount of articulation. Im sorry, but those mid thigh swivel and bicep swivels do NOTHING but hinder the sculpt. The last time I checked, I dont have the ability to rotate my leg at mid thigh, so why should an action feature? I guess I could see how some people like the chest joint, I just find it extremely unnesecary and more often than not ruins the sculpt. Honestly, the DCUC Sinestro (which uses an idential body to the Hal in the same wave, cheapness for ya) Is meant to be posed in pretty much the exact same way as the DCD one. The fact is, plastic quality, attention to detail in the sculpt, detail in paint, and overall looks go to the DCD version hands down. Yea it may be more expensive, but you can feel and see the difference in quality. In my opinion, its not even close.
  3. that comparison shot shows truly how inferior the DCUC one is to the new DCD one. Im liking alot of these DCUC figures so im not biased towards DCD, but this sinestro is a better figure by a landslide. The articulation is pretty much identical so that can't be used as an argument.
  4. Batman and Joker are the two best figures DCD has ever put out IMO. Those pics do not do them justice at all

Joe, the thing about Silverchair is just that. The fact that they started at 15. Obviously, frogstomp is a great, and what i consider to be thier best, album. I knew that is this band was to stand the test of time like they have, they'd have to evolve. Grundge is my favorite era of music, but, its not relavent in the present time. Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam, Scott Weiland, and Silverchair have all evolved enough to stay true to thier roots, but also to find themselves a place in todays music scene. Just like any band or artist that has matured through thier career (Metallica, Chris Cornell, etc) thier fans find it hard to accept thier new styles. Look at a band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Every album, they evolved from thier funk rock roots, yet kept them in tact enough, and have grown into one of, if not the best band of all time. When a band begins thier career at 15, if there wasnt a drastic change as they grew older, they would have been a flash in the pan, and not relavent at all today. Having said all that, im not really a huge fan of Young Modern. I think it is a step in the right direction for the band as far as its longevity is concerned, but I feel its a letdown compared to Diorama.

    Blue October

they have a song called Razorblade on one of thier old albums, otherwise, I think this band is useless.

    Check this out!

Led Zeppelin has to be the most over rated band of all time, along with Nirvana. I couldnt justify anyone saying Bonham is the best drummer of all time with guys like Danny Cary, Dave Abruzzie, Chad Smith and Matt Cameron still making incredible contributions to music.

    Arcade Fire?

It's great. they are one of my favorite bands right now. Im so happy to see such an active music scene developing within canada, even if it is on the other side of the country.
  9. Here's the bottom line as I see it. The Hawkman figure ROCKS. It is probably the best figure DCD has ever put out. He's a big guy, and yes the figure is a little too big. GET OVER IT. As a collector, sculpt, paint, and faithfullness to the art is what sells me. Now a freaking insignificant size differance. And besides, Id rather have a giant hawkman then a teeny tiny Doomsday from DCCSH, and yet nobody complains about that (because its 5 dollers cheaper, and, whenver thats the case, most people around here deem it as the best figure ever ie every ML)
  10. Kele is a great frontman too. I loooove this band. Also, a side note, anyone that hasn't should listen to John Mayer's Continuum. This man may be the best guitar player I've ever heard. Seriously. The stuff he can play while he sings boggles the mind.
  11. Bloc Party's new album is definatly awsome Chris Cornell- Euphoria Morning Radiohead- OK Computer Red Hot Chili Peppers- Californication Red Hot Chili Peppers- Stadium Arcadium (yes, already) Tool- Aenima Stone Temple Pilots- Core Dave Matthews Band- Crash Pearl Jam- Ten Pearl Jam- VS Soundgarden- Badmotorfinger
  12. Joe, Im suprised you havn't heard his cover of billie jean yet. There are videos all over youtube, its a really cool acoustic cover. When i first heard the news of Audioslave's split, i was really upset, but, after thinking about it, i think this is the best possible scenario. Rage is seemingly reuniting, and my favorite Cornell album is his first solo disk. Cornell is my all time favorite musician, so I have high expectations for this album, but I'm sure he'll deliver. he always does.
  13. Picked up the whole wave. I dig the line alot. The only reason i got that stupid Atom pack is cause i got 30 dollers cut when i bought a case. Aside from that, the figures are really really cool. I've been waiting for this Hawkgirl figure ever since i got the silver age one.
