  1. I do too. Pretty exciting news if you ask me. I wonder how they will be filming this, CGI type stuff or with live actors. I imagine the later will be much much harder to pull off, but they could surprise me.
  2. If you haven't read since the Supergirl arc then pick up #19....it features Supergirl and sets her up for her own comic book series. more spoilers And yeah, I'll agree the bizarro part was quite confusing but does no one care that our favorite shiny Captain is back? I haven't read any of Superman/Batman since the first trade, but its good to see him back and alive and hopefully with the same change of heart he had before he crashed into that asteroid
  3. Man you got lucky at your Suncoast. Mine were wiped out of anything decent. All I managed to pick up was a Batman Begins figure. I would have loved to have gotten a deal on some of that Superman stuff for $4 though. FYI, Sam Goody is having the same type of sale at their stores as well. Once again though they were pretty cleaned out.
  4. So what has been going on with Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl...etc. I know things have been shaken up a bit. Spoiler initiated the gang wars and was killed, but what else. Nightwing has been shot...how did that happen? But why is everyone moving to another city? Just curious what is going on.
  5. Yeah I liked the goggled one better as well. I only was able to find the Freeze without goggles. I'd say Freeze is a rarer figure as I never see it in any of the stores. Maybe it is a regional thing. That being said I have a non goggled Mr Freeze on comic card that I would trade for goggled freeze. PM me

    Batman

After reading Identity Crisis #3, I would like to see Batman go head to head with Slade. Two great tactical minds going at it. It would be an interesting fight.
  7. Picked mine up at Suncoast for $12.99 I think. Cheapest I have seen it anywhere locally.
  8. I am new to comics and am just wondering what is good now adays. From the past I hear Batman and JLA might be good. Anything else. I also hear some good stuff about Flash. Right now I am picking up Identity Crisis as it comes out, and have picked up the hush tpb (actually the reason I started into comics). Just wonder what else is out there as I plan to make a run to a comic bookstore at the end of the month.
  9. I just have three questions for DC fans out there. 1. I recently went to a Sam Goody store and they had Justice League figures on sale for about $3. I picked up the original Batman and Green Lantern with power shield. Now GL is significantly shorter than Batman. Is that just how it is? Or are the original run of figures taller? Btw, even without articulation, these figures are pretty awesome. 2. I was perusing a comic shop and I saw these trade paperback looking books...JLA Year one...and there were subsequent years as well. I was just wondering if they were good books and worth the price. I am really interested in the upcoming identity crisis even though I haven't followed any comics and was wondering if it was a good story in those books or if the JLA comics were good in general. 3. Finally, I have really started to dig comics ever since reading the Hush story in Batman. I was just wondering if in general, there were any other titles worth following. This could be really anything from Superman to whoever. Granted I don't know a lot of heros' back stories so it might make it kind of hard. Any help would be appreciated...especially on those last two questions. Thanks
  10. I must say, that is the best thing I have heard in suck a long time. It made me laugh @loll@
  11. I was going through a Target near me and I checked out their clearance ailse. To my surprise I found that they have the TMNT Playset on Clearance for about $20. I think they also had some of the play fighting weapons on clearance but I didn't check them out. Anyway...it looked like a good deal so if your Target has any left after Christmas go check it out. If it is still too much, wait a week and they will probably clearance it further if someone else doesn't snatch it up.
  12. Not a GvC vehicle but the Locust from the ARAH rerelease. I got it for Christmas and when i finally assembled it I had two right wings. I sent an email to Hasbro but never got a response for a week. In the meantime I took the other one back and scoured the city and found one last Locust in stores with a box ripped in half, but everything was there so i bought it. About two montha later I get a package from Hasbro with a letter in it that says they are sorry for my dissatisfaction and that they hoped I enjoyed my replacement toy. They ended up sending me a pretty neat Jurassic Park 2 helicopter for completely free! So I got my Locust and a free chopper from Hasbro....pretty sweet. If Hasbro ever gets back to you though, they will probably ask you to send the vehicle back to them, but they won't be able to guarantee that you will get the same one you return to them but only one of equal value.
  13. I am in AZ too and I found both the Nanotech monster and the foot tech. I think i found them in Phoenix at a target on 44th st and thomas. Usually stores in AZ get about two cases at a time it seems. Wal-Marts throw both out at once so if you get there early enough you can be swimming in them, but any later and they are all gone. Targets usually stagger their cases a bit, so if it looks like they only put out one keep going back as they probably have another they are waiting to put out. In a month or so though they should be pretty easy to find though.
  14. Thanks to great parents and "Better than Phoenix's" Tucson KB's it was a bountiful day indeed. I ended up finding the 12" Airborne and Crimson Guard. To throw it over $30 i picked up a Godzilla figure (can't have too many of those). The second KB I went to I picked up the Power Team Helo (the last one in the store) and believe it or not the X2 Nightcrawler. I haven't seen those in stores for ages. Still under $30 so i picked up some toy cars. All in all a good day for me. Anything would be a good day for me as now I am at college without a car, toy runs are a treat. Also managed to find the TRU Exclusive Awe Striker too...too sweet to pass up. No wave 8, but I am still happy
  15. Very nice. A lot better than I could do...not saying much though. I like it a lot though. You have a gift and a talent my friend. As far as your techinique, it looks pretty spot on to me. Yeah, I like it, do more stuff.
  16. I have liked the 12 inch figures since the beginning...well most of them anyway. Some of them are spot on for the characters (Viper, CC, upcoming Bazooka) others aren't but still work (Dusty, Beach head, Heavy Duty) and others just aren't worth the time (any Duke, Shipwreck). These things are great though, and if you are thinking of giving these things a try, now is the time to do it. Seems that Hasbro is taking a bit more care in the creation of these figures. It can also provide a haven for those of you like me who have gotten a bit burned out on the 3 3/4 inch joes recently. Can't wait to find that new Airborne though and the release of the new Bazooka.
  17. Are you kidding? This thing has been out for at least two months. Been meaning to pick one up but never have the cash to buy it when I see one. Would give me a good excuse to buy another Foot though...interesting. Yeah, the second series has been released as well. It includes Hun, Casey, and April. Also there are the extreme sport turtles. Skateboarding, scooter, roller blades, and a bike. Biking don looks like the only interesting one to me. Any one picked up any of these sports turtles yet? If you have, which ones and how are they?
  18. Pictures of these badboys are on the main page. Probably could click on the TMNT link on the side of the main page to see the news with pics. I think right now, they are just trying to build up the core group of villians and heros (with the exception of the video game characters, that's just advertising). Eventually they really should and need to start releasing mutants or else I forsee a bleak future for this line. Redeco after redeco of the four turtles is going to get old pretty fast no matter how old you are. I know that I want to see something more than extreme sport turtles in the future and parents are going to have a hard time justify yet another Leo or Raph to add to the stack of other useless variations for their kid. Okay fine, I won't be lazy, here is a link for ya
  19. Well, it seems to me that his statement could really apply to just about anyone. Everyone on earth could be unstoppable if they never made a mistake. Would anyone be able to stop a regualr person from reining terror or fighting evil if he was perfect. Dodged every punch, knew when to back down and when to charge. The fact is anyone could be unstoppable if they were perfect, but they aren't.
  20. I can definitely say I am blown away by the future releases for this line. Super articulated turtles already look as if they will have at least knee and ankle joints. Hopefully there is elbow articulation that I can not see. Also, here's hoping to the fact that all the armor will be removable to the basic turtle and there won't be any remnants left modeled on to the bodies. The new Cobra villans also look good but really nothing we haven't seen at the toy shows. Still look as cool as they did back then. The superarticulation has really got me excited though. Could take these figures to a whole new play level.
  21. Sort of a lego collector, but have been out of the loops since it has become monopolized with Harry Potter and Star Wars (think the last thing I bought was the Fort Legoredo sets). I keep hearing things about how some of the older sets (pirates, kinghts) were rereleased and am curious how long ago that was and if they are still readily available? Not really important to get them, but if they are still around I wouldn't mind picking one or two up. Any info will be appreciated and sorry if this type of question is asked every other week Just thought I would get ome info from people who knew their stuff
  22. OHHHHH .....you mean the mouse pad No sorry only 1 rare NC variant made and i got it  Damn!!! Knew I shouldn't have given it up This wave actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. All the new characters have really great figures. Lady Jaye looks a lot better without the holsters in my opinion. Destro rules and Widescope and Red Spot surprised me by having a lot more personality than I expected. Also found out that the IG looks pretty good with Red Spots helmet on too. The helmet just needs a bit of paint. Hope the rest of you can find some Wave 7 soon
  23. Glad you liked it NC. Happy I could help  I have either calmed the beast or made its appetite that much more unsatiable. Either way, have fun!
  24. If you couldn't find the Turtles today, don't fret. FOX box is not on Saturday mornings nationally. Here in AZ it comes on Sunday mornings. I'll be trying to catch the first episode tomorrow morning at 10:30. From what I hear so far, it sounds great.
  25. I opened mine, course I open everything. They are toys and made to be opened and enjoyed, so I do. I can see the appeal with keeping the turtles MOC as well as the vehicles MIB, but I am still going to open them. Besides, the toys might get dusty in the package as there is a fairly large slit at the bottom of all the bubles, I guess to make them easier to open for kids.
