  1. If you are in Southern California, I have a General with box that I believe is complete for $75. I just don't have room for something that massive anymore, especially with the box. I agree that it is a pain to try to ship, hard to find a box to fit the thing in.
  2. I have to agree as well, I am very disappointed in mine. Everytime I would slide the cab up and down, it feels like I am going to snap it off. The missle turret on top uses plastic that wants to pop out the side missle holders. Reminds me of the bomb rack on the JvC Rattler. I guess it's my fault for buying it in the first place. Anyone in Southern Cal want a slightly used MCC for cheap (or an intact General with box), let me know
  3. Personally I'd rather have a wife and a decent sized LA townhouse.
  4. Perhaps it's a pricing error. In any event, as long as the actual price doesn't increase, the "MSRP" can be whatever they want. @loll@
  5. Picked up another BAT APC and a free Recondo with mission disk at TRU. Recondo makes a great "brownshirt" anonymous joe. And has a nice M4 type carbine for my Cobra infantry.
  6. You are pretty lucky... I scanned some from my local Wal-Mart and they came out to be $7.76, regular price. Oh well.
  7. You can also order these from amazon.com. Just go to the toys section and do a search for Night Force. "Availability: Usually ships within 24 hours"
  8. Hmm. I'm in a similar situation, but not as bright. "I'm 30. I don't smoke, don't golf and there is no need for the bar scene since nerdy geeks like me end up in the corner alone. So I look at this as my outlet, besides watching TV and staring at a computer screen, and as a hobby. Plus it brings back to a time, when life was simplier and I had a future and all I had to worry about was getting my little brother to ask my parents to go to the local toy store and pick GI Joe figures and vehicles for himself (and for me)!"
  9. I opened one of mine, and the guns are loose in their hands. The joints are so tight, I'm afraid of snapping limbs in half if I pose them. I am somewhat underwhelmed after the thrill of the hunt for them.
  10. Ah Gemco. I haven't heard that name in a long while. I got some of my figures from them when I was a kid. Before there was Target, there was Gemco.
  11. Got the following last night... 4 Cobra Infantry Packs Wave 8 Heavy Duty vs Heavy Water Roadblock w/ Mission Disk (Free!) Recondo w/Mission Disk (Free!) I think I've gotten enough infantry packs for now. Whew! It seems like my local TRU's are getting their infantry packs over the past few days, with more to come. PS: Anyone in SoCal looking for a complete General (with box)? Looking to sell mine to free up some much needed space. Thanks!
  12. Isn't that how Kmart's distribution of product was set up? Look where it got them. Too bad on a national level TRU is a monopoly. If they had real competition, they would be closing stores left and right.
  13. Where did you get the weapons for the cobras? From that weapons pack at tru? Elite force or something like that?
  14. I got the following... Night Force set VvV Duke vs. Cobra Commander Wave 7.5 Alley Viper/Viper ($3.98 at a Target!) Cobra Infantry Pack x3 Not a bad haul.
  15. I'm waiting for amazon.com to make them available for ordering, but the wait is tough. Especially since so many have theirs already, and since the set is generally viewed in a favorable light.
  16. That's my concern, is all. If the supply will be plentiful, I am willing to wait. And I won't care if someone gets them now ahead of me.
  17. Well, lets hope either the brick and mortar stores replenish their supply quickly or they become available to order online.
  18. I care if it affects my ability to purchase one in the store.
  19. If joesightings.com is accurate, someone bought my local TRU's supply before I got off work and could buy some. I guess these people don't have jobs, thus having all this free time to look around and scoop up everything. Oh well, hopefully they will turn up online.
  20. I'm just waiting to be able to order them online... avoid wasting gas and getting mad when I see empty shelves.
  21. Kronos

    Walmart

If my local Wal-Marts weren't out of figures, I'd be really excited. Oh well, at least I was able to get some Ringnecks during the Target clearance. You win some, you lose some, I suppose.
  22. When I was a kid Chuckles always died. With that loud shirt of his, he was an easy target.
  23. A local store has the Defiant Space Shuttle Complex complete, unassembled, in original (non-sealed) box. What is a decent price for it? The store wants $300 firm.
  24. I went to about 10 targets over the long weekend, and the only thing I found was a Splitfire without Rampage (the figure was stolen). Even at the discounted price, I had to pass. No Ringnecks.
  25. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the tiger storm helicopter? A missle storm repaint?
