  1. No, I am not at the Con. Would love to be but cannot, I do understand it's a business but at the same time they haven't been the most stable with their releases. I love DCUC and have all the figures (except for wave 18). There are many other toy lines I collect but I only run into the shenanigans and trickery with DCUC & Marvel Legends. It make me wary that a company their size has to play the marketing tricks that they do. That being said I will continue to support the line It's just at a point for me that I just want to be presented with a product to purchase or pass on. Don't want to subscribe, or be hindered by vauge goals and deadlines (sometimes extended sometimes not). I also pre ordered the Ms Martian & Superboy pack too man, glad you get to enjoy the con! I hope to make it one day.
  2. So I'm sure most of you have noticed that at this years SDCC Mattel showed off two possible versions of Doomsday. A "meh" version and a real version of it depending on how many subscribers they get. After being a subscriber to CIE I have mixed feelings about it. Although it has improved, I don't really feel like I am getting enough characters that I like (personal problem I know). Additional stunts like this from Mattel make me constantly feel as if I am being tricked or toyed with. How do you feel about it? The "Unleashed" Doomsday looks solid but I would hate to renew and then get the "bound" version because of a number Mattel says they reached or don't reach. 3. I never had and interest in the SH Figuarts line until their DBZ offerings, It is the line I have looked for with that property forever. It seems like all the other lines end up stopping after the main four cast members. I always look forward to the new stuff they put out now.
  4. Neat figure, and solid paint app man!
  5. Not a street fight I want to be in! Very rugged looking customer man, good stuff.
  6. I can almost overlook the whole "King Of The Forest" thing and the armor for whomever likes that look. For it to be that crazy looking AND flippin $90.00 bucks for that thing is pure shenanigans
  7. Didn't like the batman but I am diggin this superman like a lifetime gravedigger. If the price is right it will find a place on my shelf (in anticipation of a full DC set)!
  8. Not one that I would buy, but it looks damn good just the same. I love Hot Toys for the amazing accuracy they convey 99% of the time. There isn't a single one I have bought that I regretted. Well, maybe for the price but not for the quality!
  9. It's really cruddy that they replaced the ab crunch with a cut waist. Seeing as how we have long stopped getting ANY type of accessories with the figures they could at-least not remove any of the traditional articulation. Seems like they want to turn into a smaller figure scale version of DC direct. Nice looking figure though.
  10. Ehh... Hopefully it will rock as much as it should. I am cautiously optimistic on this one.
  11. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the part 2. At first I wasn't sure but it didn't take long for me to really get into it. For me it was easily one of the best DC animated features (right there with Under The Red Hood). It was also alot more gritty then I thought, but it suited the presentation.
  12. I was just wondering what you thought about the animated feature? My lasting impression was of how irritating Lois was. I know generally she is fairly pushy but this version didn't have the normal amount of class and twice the aggravation factor. Otherwise I thought it was decent. What are your thoughts on the movie?
  13. Yeah, I could see it. I see alot of things I like about that picture... @hmmm@
  14. No thanks, she doesn't seem to have that spark.
  15. This is one of those things that I would like to have but I'm not sure. For the figures sans bases its kinda expensive. Although the other YJ figures cost a bit at least they had bases and since I found all but Batman in stores I didn't have to worry about shipping. However when you tack shipping on-top of the existing kinda high price it makes it a pass for many people. I want the figures, but I am growing tired of Mattel's shenanigans.
  16. Looks like they extended the deadline. Till 8/31, must not have gotten the results they wanted.
  17. Working in retail I can tell you thats not necessarily true. 90% Of the items we clearance we loose money on (at my job anyways). Some items the MFG will take back for a partial credit but most items are just lost money. Usually it's more profitable to take a small loss on the old product (to get different salable things out) then to leave the old non selling things there. However I do agree with you about Mattel, they have been fleecing me for awhile now...
  18. Since I can only find Bane and Batman in the stores, and the rest are inflated prices online (right now) I don't need anybody else from the line. I'm not sure if I will be able to build the bat signal as it is. I do like this set of MM more than the last Batman figures though. Like you said, the likenesses are spot on for the most part (considering price and size).
  19. Well the BAF aspect of it says "Collect em all" but then all the variants say the reverse. If I had a better time with finding them in stores I wouldn't mind the variants but as it is now I don't like it. I do like the extra characters being made/being optional but since I can only find my figures online it's no fun. With the regular figures averaging in the $18-20 range the variants are often times more than I want to pay.
  20. I'm not a huge fan of Rocket Red figure. Maybe if I didn't have several other BAF's with the same body/ he wasn't over-sized for his character/ he didn't cost $30.00 + shipping I would feel differently. It doesn't seem like they tried too much with this one. So far I haven't been wowed with the subscription.
  21. Looks like Bane need to lay off the cake eh?
  22. The figure looks meh but the box and packaging is flippin bad ass.
