There is one Hot Wheel collector in my area that is a nice guy. We have went out for coffee a few times. I have dropped by his house for a beer or two. He usually lets me know when something new is around. He called me when the BMF falcon was $35 bucks. But the other Hot Wheel guys are full blown A$$es. There are no real figure collectors in my area just scalpers and flea market dudes. Chopz

I just noticed that Ebay has over 500 listing of wave 10. This has been the most listed wave I have seen on Ebay. Prices are not to bad. I have a feeling that a lot of scalpers will end up chocking on these and they will start returning them back to Walmart. I can see why Mattel is trying to use Walmart for distribution. This gives the customer a better chance of finding and buying this wave. A lot of collectors have the same fear of this wave as wave 5. The scalpers are capitalizing off our fear. Once the scalpers start returning them this will cause high inventory in Walmart. If Walmart does another wave it will be cut in half. My opinion, Wal-mart should have a no return policy on collectible figures unless broken and only then exchanged, similar to the one they have on video games. Lastly Wal-mart distribution of this wave is also bad. The stores that were chosen in my area to carry them are the smaller ones and out of way Walmarts; this puzzle me. They never carried DCUC before, why now? The Target in my area is just so loaded with wave 6 & 7 I wish they would just discount them, so new waves will come to the store. Chopz

I feel your pain. I was going to do the same thing about three months ago. My wife suggested to me just to put them up for a while and not sell them. I am glad I did not sell them. Last month I found wave 9 and I have a set of wave 10 coming to me. I have had to resort to Ebay to fill my holes, but I did not mind. Take my suggestion just put them up for a month or so, because as soon as you sell them you will start seeing them in the stores. Chopz

Mattel , About two weeks ago I received a phone call from my local Wal-mart (#229 Trumann, AR.) I received a phone call from the manger on duty. He told me that Mattel called and that they would be receiving a case of DC Universe wave 10. This morning I went to Wal-mart to talk with the toy manager. She informed me that they will not be getting the case of DC Universe wave 10 and how the Mattel the representative informed her that she was NOT going to authorize this order. The representative also became rude and made false accusations to the toy manager that this was not a customer request, but an employee request. I assure you Mattel I am a customer not an employee of Wal-mart or is any family member of mine. I simply want this wave of figures just like a lot of other collectors that cannot find them in their local store. We as collectors have to resort to long drives and Ebay for inflated prices. At this point it is irrelevant that I find a case of figures. My point is that the way Wal-mart employees were treated with the lack of respect by a Mattel sales Rep. From my personal experience as sales Rep, Mattel should do everything in their power to make a customer happy. I am not talking about me, but your customer Wal-mart as a whole. Chopz

Thanks for the tip on this. I chased all the way down to Palatine from work on my lunch hour (ok, it was slightly closer to 90 minutes than 60) and found the Bats and Power Girls on the pegs. They were moved from an apparent endcap that was referenced above. I looked around them and found someone was nice enough to hide a Joker for me!!! So I grabbed the three figs, paid for them and left at least three Power Girls and three bats hanging there for someone else. Now I've got to hope I can get my mitts on the Man-Bat, Beast boy, Robotman & Forager somewhere... I Was just there the other day and saw the pegs LOADED wuth Black Batman and Powergirl. I found the whole wave (and sold it on eBay for $35 a pop) a couple of weeks ago at thw Walmart in Mt. Prospect. I kepts the Man-Bat and a Joker for my personal collection. The others scored me some Pay-Pal play money. I works nights near said Walmart so I swing by around 3-4am and scope out the toy aisles. More times than not I score all sorts of new figures. Joes, Star Wars and DCUC to name a few. Not to start another scalper debate, but we dont like your kind of scum around here! I'm sure I'll cry myself to sleep tonight on my pile of eBay money. Incidentally, I have six more figures on eBay for those of you haters who can't find them. Price is down due to supply... $25 a pop. I know someone here will buy them. Probably the same guy who hates me but wtf, your money is good here anyway. I dont care if you scalp. I just like giving people #$##. I am guilty scalping from time to time myself. Back when everyone was looking for wave 5 I got crap for selling the figures for $28 each shipped. I was driving about 60 miles one way to pick them up and that was back when gas was over $4 a gallon. I bet now most of those collector wishes that instead of giving me hell they would have bought them. I am a retired motorcycle salesman, I realize that everybody wants something for nothing. You are right after paypal fees, Ebay cost, time ,and gas. You can have a bit invested in one figure. When I sell figures most of the time I would like to have my investment back. I pass on hard to find figures because of the hassle it can be to try and resale them. Before I get hell form people on the board. I have not seen any of wave 10 and I will probably not see them in my area. Chopz

If you purchase something off Ebay, you have to allow the seller to make a little money. Clam is right, Once wave 10 starts selling below 130 the scalpers will stop selling them. One has to consider; item, taxes, ebay fees, paypal fees, and shipping. Once you throw that in to the mix it bring the cost of a set around 130 a set. Paying 140 for a set everybody makes a little and the buyer saves gas and time. Chopz

A friend of mine just won a set of Wave 10 on Ebay for 145. The prices are dropping. That's not a bad price if you consider the time, gas, and stress. Chopz

I have been screwed a few times on shipping items first to a buyer. I am just quick to believe that someone is honest. It is easier to screw someone if they are miles away. You never have to worry about seeing them in person. I do believe in Karma. something we lack in today's society is honor to one another. I wish we lived in a time where a mans word was still good, but there are to many people out there trying to screw someone over something. If I received the items I would pay the person for them. Chopz Believe me or not. dude, just admit that youre a theif. dont act as if your post arent meant to encite anger, when you know as well as i do that no one gives a sh*t if you found a truck load of wave 10.

I just wanted to let the guys on the board to beware of Ebay seller "plm171" ;He takes forever to ship, Does not respond to his e-mails, usually shorts you in an order, and ships items so tight that the boxes are bent. I only used him once and I am still having problems trying to get a refund on Black Canary that was not shipped with a wave 9 purchase. Chopz

In the past two days wave 10 has almost doubled the amount on Ebay. I foresee a price drop. Chopz
